so I took a peak at the Kalifris mini to see what it looked like if I could afford it and my dyslexic arse misread "genre: fantasy" as "gender: fantasy" which is a very Kalifris vibe tbh
Mark is such an amazing DM. I felt so immersed when he was talking about Rowan discovering the vault. I didn't even realize how tense I had gotten until he moved on from Rowan. I love the way he sees things. Such a brilliant mind.
I’m a longtime fan who lives in America. Recently got the horrible news of the US elections and I find myself in a very very low place as a result. It’s been a few days now and you six as the high rollers are the first thing to balm the pain I feel. Thank you guys for your professionalism, consistency, kindness, and levity.
Have a hug from a fellow American who is also hurting badly as a result of the election. I've already seen this one, but I need the comfort and happiness right now.
I hug you from Italy. Guys I’m so sorry. Hopefully his folly won’t last long. I have a heavier heart too, I need some High Rollers to lift my spirit. Hope you will have a good day despite it all, friends.
I was anxious about what if this won't be uploaded today :) Happy 1 year to everyone who reads this, I'm glad I decided to join to this campaign :) Greetings from Turkey.
Thak you for a year of true enjoyment. This week on RUclips,I laughed with you whe ( Kim and Tom especially) you were cracking jokes and funny one-liners. SOOOO glad Mark is The DM they are, 'cuz lovin' Rowan a lot! Will be holding my breath 'til next time ❤❤❤
Today is the best day for me that i share my birthday on the same day with campaign 3 anniversary. But congratulation on your 1st anniversary of Altheya: Dragon Empiren, and wish you all to have healthy and long life
Watching players squirm while trying to come up with a strategy is fun. Being one of the players not so much. Although I think your players got their own back at the end 😄
1:00:30 There is the spitting spider from the family _Scytodidae._ "Scytodidae catch their prey by spitting a fluid that congeals on contact into a venomous and sticky mass. The fluid contains both venom and spider silk in liquid form, though it is produced in venom glands in the chelicerae. The venom-laced silk both immobilizes and envenoms prey such as silverfish."
I’m once again going to throw the idea out there of Xanthus somehow absorbing the crown steel from the two who are being forced fed it to save them. Exclusively because I don’t want to see the green dragon come to harm. Lol
My biggest issue with alien Vs predator is that it could have easily been set on an ice planet in the future, instead of modern day Antarctica and if it had it would have been a classic of the franchise.
How many caught the DM's mistake? did the mistake make a difference in how things worked out? Not trying to be critical but it was(in my opinion) a glaringly obvious mistake on his part...
😒 so here’s how spell casting works. You get one leveled spell and one cantrip and that’s it. For example: bonus action cast healing word, action cast druidcraft. Or alternatively, action cast moon beam, bonus action cast shillelagh. Unless you have a subclass that does bonus action, action shenanigans. The only way to turn action spells into bonus action spells is through the sorcerer’s meta-magic quicken spell. The only way you cast two leveled spells, in the same turn, is with the Fighters Action Surge ability. With the War Caster feat, you can cast three leveled spells with a reaction casted spell in the same turn For example: action cast hold person, bonus action quicken spell Eldritch blast. Activate action surge and cast Scorching Ray. As the paladin passes by I use my reaction to do an opportunity “attack” and cast Haste on the paladin, and finishes off the potentially paralyzed humanoid with your crit rules. The new version of the war caster feat allows that to happen, but there are multiple different combinations.
Not quite correct, if we're talking about 5e (not referring to 2024 new 5e). The restriction on spellcasting, by the written rules is specifically around bonus actions, and it is only that if you cast ANY spell as a bonus action, then you cannot cast another spell on your turn unless it is a cantrip with a casting time of 1 action. So, in your first paragraph, while Healing Word and Druidcraft is legal, Moonbeam and Shillelagh is NOT; casting Shillelagh as a bonus action is still casting a spell as a bonus action, and the rule applies, meaning that you cannot cast any other spell on your turn other than a cantrip with a casting time of 1 action - so Moonbeam would not be allowed. The rule *also* means that if you cast, say, Divine Word as a bonus action, and an enemy caster counterspells you, you are NOT allowed to attempt to counterspell them, because it is still *Your Turn*, and in casting a spell as a bonus action, you cannot cast any other spell except for a cantrip with a casting time of 1 action - so counterspell, with its casting time of 1 Reaction and being a 3rd level spell, is not allowed in that case. BUT, had you been casting Meteor Swarm instead, then you absolutely *could* attempt to counterspell their counterspell on your own turn, because no bonus action spell was cast, and that is the *only* restriction that exists. In your third paragraph, Hold Person and Quicken Eldritch Blast is NOT legal, for the same reason - you cast a spell as a bonus action (quickened EB), so you CANNOT cast Hold Person - it is not a cantrip with a casting time of 1 action (However, *Quicken Hold Person as a bonus action* and *Action EB* IS legal, if you want an illustration of how stupid the rule is...). Similarly, because you quickened EB, you also CANNOT cast Scorching Ray even if you Action Surge - *Still* your turn, you've *Still* cast a bonus action spell on this turn, you're *Still* restricted to cantrips with casting time of 1 action, which Scorching Ray is not. If the Paladin is passing you on *Their* turn, then it is no longer *Your* turn, and so you can reaction cast just fine.... but if the Paladin is passing while it' still *Your* turn - say they had readied a dash for the situation - then you could NOT react to Haste them either, for the same reason. The rule is arbitrary, needlessly restrictive on silly things compared to what it allows, mostly only confuses people, and generally adds nothing of value to gameplay for existing. None of my tables use the rule, and our games are more enjoyable for it. Of course, if you're using the 2024 rules, then they've doubled down more firmly on the restriction, and simplified to to literally being 1 spell slot on your turn, regardless of the combination or orientation of use - but they've also adjusted Action Surge to specifically prevent magic, and allowed a whole gamut of other things that run against their stated intention instead. Ah well.

That's my new gender... fantasy

It's hard for me to believe that it's already been a year in this campaign it doesn't feel like it which goes to show how good it is
Yes I feel the same 😊 they are awesome

Happy anniversary to Altheya! Doesn't feel like one year already. But let's go!
That was intense. But, I'm glad everyone is still alive. I was more distracted picturing a naked Xanthus...
Happy 1 year campaign anniversary all the way from Niagara Falls Canada!

Rhi, Trott and Tom have such amazing characters. Daisy and Nim are an interesting take on Aasimar. That leaves Kim/Gruf as the adult in the room
Happy one year anniversary to the High Rollers' 3rd campaign. Good fortune and health to everyone - cheers from Denmark! ....
I laughed so hard!! A beautiful piece of story btw, love you guys
That poop without a butt comment got me 😂
This one was ✨EXTRA SPICY✨
FOR THE EMPRESS!!!! FOR THE ALGORITHM!!!!!
Great episode.
Tom’s intro move backfiring on him 😂
🎼Hooked on a ceiling 🎵
We got Altheya on RUclips music before gta 6
I really hope Mark incorporates what Tom said at 2:53:43 into the campaign.

Thank you guys for being here
This has been a really hard week 💛
Happy Burp Day Folks... keep it up.
Dark clothes day. 😂
every day is...
D&D is really meant for like 8 hour sessions, it seems.
5 minutes later.... High ping? 😅
Best joke of the episode 😂 I didn’t know if anyone else noticed it
is £70 expensive for a dice set?
For a resin one, yes. But it does have very nice decorations inside that are pretty unique and aren’t being mass manufactured.
FOR THE ALGORITHM!
👏🏽
