Watched this live, rewatched afterwards and watching again. Great episode guys! Spoiler warning You can almost see the sparkle in Katie’s eyes when she realised that her spell could allow communication with Percy!
Small spoiler, by the way, don't read before watching! Actually I thought that the tree man could have gotten mad when they allowed Percy to defend himself. Making the pesky undead creature even more menacing and all. To him Percy is probably just some random monster who isn't supposed to exist. And he might have gone from "I am not protecting a monster (made from a corpse)" to "So now I have to travel with a scarier, more powerful monster, f*** me!"
This should be their Jingle Jam Christmas one shot 😂 just a crazy side quest where they play a bunch of random creatures (using the stat blocks) but Rhi has to be Percival
Just commenting to say I love having High Rollers on in the background while I'm drawing. Helps keep me focused while letting me absorb the story at the same time.
So I have aphantasia, but have also been artistic for most of my life, I tell you what when I learned that people actually had the ability to picture things in their mind/ imagine things that was mind blowing... Like I didn't realize that my mind didn't work that way until I finally understood that other people's did.
Not doing the burning hands was a good decision, the fire ignites any flammable objects in the area that aren't being worn or carried, and the boat isn't worn or carried. There is also the oxygen factor, since I am unsure if filling your known oxygen source with smoke is a factor or not. The only viable ways I can think of to use burning hands is to put your hand in the creature's mouth/bum to fire it off and hope the creature does not explode. Or aim at the roof (putting your back to the deck of the boat) and pray it does enough to deal with the ones above without damaging the boat (seems like a bad plan, but it is there if needed in the future) lol.
I hate the new rules for grappling they are so confusing. For the record, you do NOT need to make an attack roll to grapple. The horribly complicated logic goes like this: You make an unarmed strike, which is a strike without a weapon. You can now do 3 things. 1) Damage - you make an attack roll as usual. 2) Grapple - You attempt to grapple the target, you must have a free hand 3) Shove - You shove the target, this doesn't require a free hand. Grappling and shoving have the same rules: The defender makes a SAVING THROW (Str or Dex, defenders choice) based on the attackers str (8 + proficiency + Str Mod). If the targets fails they are now grappled. To break an established grapple the target makes an Athletic or Acrobatics CHECK using their action. It's so needlessly complicated, I hate it.
It doesn't matter if you're "looking out for my best interest." If you throw out something I wanted and didn't ask, or explain why first i get to be mad. Regardless of weather or not you replace it
this whole crown steel approach by the others and being pushy with their opinions on the others is a bit irksome. this is my opinion but they make choices for themselves, especially when they can have interesting consequences

You realize you have to have a one shot now for the adventures of Percival and the Treeman!
Small spoiler, by the way, don't read before watching!

ABSOLUTELY. Although almost certainly would have to be non-canon in case of TPK etc. 😬
The basic science behind GPS involves Trigo-Gnometry.

Please use that haunted wood to make a crown for Percy, make him a damn undead king 😂
imagine if they made him a voice box with it so he can speak omg
Was the earth elemental actually the archer guy from the roof covered in dried mud?
No, he didn't use a crossbow
If Rowan multi classes into cleric he can be Chapel Rowan
The destroy water incantation bit actually destroyed all the water in my body.
Mark got me good with his "Gnoming device". That was hilarious.

Rhi should wear a ring pop ring every session. That would make it impossible to forget that magic item.
1:34:15 - ohhhhhh it's like the Hag's Well in BG3 - sick.
Percy has Skelepathy!
Thanks!
Spoiler barrier!
For the empress! For the algorithm!
Boy oh boy they could have asked Percival ANYTHING about Ossius and he'd probably have told them.

Loved this. Thanks for taking me away from the reality of being a USA citizen for a time. ❤
What's so bad about being a USA citizen right now?

FOR THE EMPRESS!!!! FOR THE ALGORITHM!!!!!
1:40:14 Trott’s amazing powers of prescience
Feeeeeeding the algorithm 🗣️
I think the darkmantle actually does have to maintain concentration for the darkness to stay up
Although tbh I prefer Mark's implementation where they don't
Bloody Mark now i got the Pokemon theme in my head B*****D
Week #2 to ask Kim to seek Bark skin up!!!
Is it even really a cave if it doesn't have ropers and darkmantles? :P
Life and Death and Rodry.
If they tried to copyright strike you for that remind them about parity laws. Also sue them for breaking parity laws... 😅
Where is the birb?
Hic Sunt Dracones!
Is it next week yet?..
Is the live show cannon?
sort of. They've said it IS canon, but they have not yet specifically placed it in time.

yeah, not a good move, that one.
Uhm, ACTUALLY, Mark! A Roper only has a reach of 50ft with its tendrils. So, really, this encounter should never have happened. *adjusts glasses*
Thenk yew!
A DM reserves the right to change any stat block as they see fit.
Well yea? But also counter point. My ropers can have as much reach as i damn well need them to.
Ackshually, Are there stats for crown steel ropers? ☝🏾🤓
