The dialogue feels so natural and real. Writers and voice actors did good.
The animation makes it feel real too. Seems like an interesting show.
adult swim sure know how to pick their talents.... like actual adults
thats mike judge for ya!
If you like the dialogue you should try Smiling Friends. It's wonky but I'm convinced they don't write the dialogue at all. Its like Ghost Stories anime you can tell it's not the script. For instance there's like a 3min scene of realistic auto after they fly to vacation but nobody booked the hotel
@@MrArtVeinreal, I'm fully convinced they don't have a script too
I love that we already understand the two feds’ personalities and relationship before they even talk.
oh theyre gonna be my fav characters for sure, i saw the full ep and theyre really fun.

I watched this trailer yesterday but I came back to rewatch it because the thought of the agents dancing in this art style was making me giggle all day today

“This show seems interesting I guess.”
Show’s me Capano and Harrington saying nothing:
“Ok, I’m in. When does this show drop?”
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I love adult cartoons with interactions like this.
It’s not entertaining for a kids’ show but the main characters having a moment like is something that adults really relate to and admire. Kids don’t get just having some silly fun with your college but any adult immediately understands these two are an absolute vibe together. It’s great seeing fun adult moments in shows like this!
@@smolboi1222you really just said “kids don’t get just having silly fun” what lol
@@DabsOnDabs
They do, but from trying to sit down and watch my shows with my younger cousins. The smaller down to earth shenanigans in shows don’t entertain them that much.
@@smolboi1222 I mean, they F-bomb a bit, in todays World that wouldnt fly showing to a kid. However the Capano & Harrington scene a kid would love, I could show it to my brothers right now & see, I'm sure theyd laugh bro 😂
*"Show, dont tell."*
Capano and Harrington perfectly describing their capabilities as DEA agents and their about friendship: 💃🕺
Wait. Have we finally reached it?
The time in which studios realize that adult animation can be used for 100% linear thriller stories that dont need constant swearing and sex jokes?
I like that it's grounded and has a world logic. As much as you're free to do anything with animation it's the restraint that gives you your world and the rules therein give the framework for why things matter.
The future is now!
@@JuliaGarbe1 yeah , OLD MAN
As someone trying to make a series similar to this, I hope this show is a gateway to MORE

I've got the same question, elaborate?
Is that all it takes? Just a universal truth but in a cartoon format?
This has me STOKED. More adult animation that's actually tonally and narratively unique.
Yesssss
almost a Sam Esmail feel, like Homecoming
Soyboy
Not just that but also a show with clever commentary about the drug war. Could end up being the best adult animated show in 2025.
Illhave to get used to the artsyle. I don't find it appealing and I usually like all manners of artistic distortion.
I'm already waiting for those "Capano and Harrington being an iconic duo for 12 minutes" types of videos
Im so stoked
4:28 That wordless animation of Capano and Harrington alone is enough to get me hooked on this show.
i dont know what movie it reminds me of but how they are introduced using no speaking lines rather just their silly vibe sets such a great tone regarding their future characteristics. showing and not telling done well
@@GwifferI love it when serious situation life or death tones mix with average every daily life and comedic buddy/pal scenarios. Like Tarantino or coenn bros. Etc.

💯what I was thinking!😎👌😹
An animation that has a somewhat simplistic but lively art style, but also has an actual dramatic and deep storyline with interesting characters and character development, all while retaining a lighthearted and almost comedic feel?!?
Hit me with it, I'm so down for this
Me too. So much better than some of the other Adult Swim shows in my opinion.
Da me lo ahora
it definitely looks fresh an promising
@@FireJojoBoy If you like this check out Scavenger's Reign. Same people.
Better than the whole season of "the acolyte"
The conference room scene with the DEA agents was masterful. The way the head agent slightly rolls his fingers, and the way the other DEA agents tilt their heads in response to his words and their gesticulations are all so realistic. Incredible pairing of acting and animators
Yes glad someone spotted that lol
Came here to say this. Superbly animated, written, and insanely funny too.
The exposition provided about all of those characters without needing words is awesome.
And it's not the overused Disney Channel animation style we've seen for years now, nor is it completely disgusting to look at, which is usually my problem with AS shows.
YES! It reminds me of the overlay animation of Joel Haver, but completely animated!
the nervous nodding of the woman kille dme hahahaha
I half expected the pidgeon to be a government robot joke
As did I, grateful it wasn’t, that online meme has worn out its welcome.
I thought it was gonna be a real pidgeon, but he thought it was a drone
Im p sure the one in the credit song is a drone
Yea that’s why y’all ain’t writers ur predictable af thoughts
you just wait
Capano and Harrington introduction is simply flawless. I can already tell those two are gonna steal the show and I haven’t heard a single word from either of em.
The agents dancing to the music might be the best thing I’ve seen this week.
the whole agents scene gave me BreakingBad vibe. the way they directed the camera, the music the atmosphere...

@@p60091 That's what Mike Judge sounds like in his normal speaking voice.
Right? The 'most preferred'.
Yeah, it's a commonly used perception bias to fool the customer.
If you have to state all your side effects due to regulations, just put emphasis on one of the lesser side effects to turn the attention away from the big ones.
@@isaiahdaniels5643Oh wow lol
Everyone's talking about the Capano and Harrington scene (which is gold, don't get me wrong) but no one's talking about their boss essentially having a Vietnam flashback at the mere mention of their names 😂 Bro's brain literally froze for a hot minute before he recommended them
the art style and character mannerisms really feel like Worthikids, especially the feds at the end. love it, really looking forward to more!
These guys are scary, they look like mutant kids in suits.
Glad I'm not the only one who got worthi vibes
I actually thought the same thing, wondered if adult swim brought them on for this show from how much it gave me that vibe.
@@distalion Joe Bennett* is the creator and it looks like he's been doing animations for a while - definitely recommend looking them up, they're a lot of fun
*edit: also Steve Hely
A combinations of Worthikids but also RedMinus (guy who animates the Yo Mama RUclips jokes) looks great
I actually felt refreshed from watching the pilot simply because of the fact that it’s adult animation that’s going with a different genre aside from comedy. Not like I’m saying adult comedies are a bad thing, it’s just nice that’s we’re getting something new and unique.
It's still a comedy, just a different one.
@@Chentzilla it's toned down and not gross out humor and I like it
It looks like will be really funny. It’s just rare to see many adult comedy’s that aren’t screaming man child characters and lots of swearing
I think it still counts as comedy, just not
The Rick & Morty kind
It’s not cringe
That pidgeon revival sequence really reminded me of Scavenger's Reign, and then I find out it's the same guy.

Right, I’m so tired of family guy ripoffs
That guy literally broke a pigeon’s neck to further a conversation.
Definitely an X-Files episode. I thought he was gonna reveal that the pigeon was a robot.

They really subverted the expectation with that one
I thought he was gonna unscrew its neck like the cap of a water bottle 💀
I was so ready for him to twist the bird's head off and say birds aren't real.
@@Warweazel I mean to be fair, according to all known laws of aviation, there is no way a bird should be able to fly.... Its wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground. The bird, of course, flies anyway because birds don't care what humans think is impossible. 🤓
You know what the craziest part of this whole thing is? That this man caught a pigeon with his bare hands with zero effort.
It’s not very hard. Pigeons used to be domesticated so they’re very docile
do you live in a city? pigeons do not fear us. one walked up on me like I was in his hood once.

The hands are done incredibly well!! I adore how emotive every single character is. This is gonna be good.
The hands remind me of the cover made by John Cuneo
for The New Yorker, called “A Man of Conviction”
I'm going to leave this here under the assumption that most people missed this (however i may be wrong): The plant that Marshall called a 'banisteriopsis' is quite possibly a reference to banisteriopsis caapi, an amazonian vine. B. Caapi is a major ingredient in Ayahuasca brew and contains the Beta-Carbolines Harmine, Harmaline, and Tetrahydroharmine. Where this gets sort of interesting is that these Beta-Carbolines are not only MAOI's but also likely interact with the seratonin system because they share the tryptamine structure with other psychedelics like DMT, LSD, and Psilocin. It gets even more interesting when we consider Harmine appears naturally in the brians of Alcoholics and Parkinsons patients. I've found no direct literature on the matter, but what i have found is information on the potenial for these compounds to treat parkinsons, protect against ethanol realted neurotoxitcity. This is on top in inplications as anti-caner, anti bacterial, and anitdepressant agents. I may be looking into it too much, but it's a fun detail.
Yes. Ayahuasca cured my anxiety. Or rather Pachamama did. Aya was just the bridge/vehicle. I don’t believe it can cure a dead pigeon.
@@starrychloe I don't either, it was just a cool detail and i assumed it was forshadowing, or just a cool detail. I'm glad that you were able to use Ayahuasca to help deal with issues. I think it's possible (and this is likely the Terence McKenna fan in me, coupled with the overanalyser in me, talking) that this pigeon and the 'drug' that cured it's death might represent something more than a literal escpae from death, possibly more of a poetical one. What is there to cure if it is no longer an illness?
Blah blah blah..
Obviously we knew this tf
@@starrychloetripping on hallucinogens can cure anxiety? I feel like they’d make me wayyyy anxious
This strike all the real notes I love in adult animation:
- Worldbuilding reflective of real world ideas that invoke some critical thought
- A serious tone that only adult animation carries
- Room for lightheartedness that doesn't make it a tonally deaf serious-all-the-time shtick
- A genuine attempt to be more expressive with the animation medium
Just how the "Bad Guys" acted at the hotdog stand has me intersted, they're gonna be so goofy and wholesome.
