I don’t think you realize that this car is also ugly. It received the same criticism as the new one. The new one is probably better looking than this vehicle in all black because the body is more stately.

I hated it when it came out but now I think it's the best looking 7 series so far. Even better looking than the new 7 series BMW just released. The big grill fits this kind of car very well. Still can't say the same for the M3 and M4.
The shadowline masks the size of the grill. When you see it in real-life, it does look very big. Certainly in chrome. If the G11 had better proportions, it would've been the best.
the m3 and m4 need the big grill for cooling purposes. BMW can make them normal again but then they will less HP.

But honestly all around nice car. I got a pre facelift 740Le xdrive nice and soft and excellent interior.
I have one too! 2018 740Le xdrive. Best car I've ever owned, its like travelling in 1st class. Every journey you make. Absolutely exceptional. After 7-series even the most expensive 5-series feels like ... well ... VW Passat or Huyndai or such. You just cant understand why peoples are paying 70-80k euros for 545 or similar.
How did you option your 7?
@@BobBrown. Unfortunately I bought it used, 2nd hand. But it has almost all the options ticked: xDrive, 4-wheel-steering, nappa extended leather, Alcantara roof, Night Vision, Sky Lounge, Bowers & Wilkins, 1st class rear seating, 3 x massage and 4 x cooled & heated seats, rear entertainment (screens, tablet etc), Ambient Air etc. Its lacking the M-Sport (it has the "pure excellence" packet) and Merino Individual Leather interior. It "only" has the nappa leather one...
But still ... really opulent interior & materials & feel, even while its 2018 and odometer has already 60k miles (90k km). Best car I've ever own :)

I wouldn't be so sure it actually is his favorite car brand. People with a lot of money simply buy the newest toy, play with it for six months to a year and then they literally throw it away for the new toy.

I had no idea how f-ing good that it is in comparison to the M cars. It looks astounding, sounds ferocious, and looks extremely comfortable. Pretty much the perfect car in my mind. The brown leather looks surprisingly good with the black exterior, and man, I am just floored by how awesome that looks. That was a really phenomenal and enjoyable review. Can't wait to see what you guys do with it!

It's funny how small the rear legroom is compared to a Passat, and maybe even a 5 series
I think it’s just because max is super tall. I rmbr sitting inside a 730i before (short wheelbase) and it was just slightly more spacious than an e class. LWB that I sat in def felt much more luxurious due to the rear leg room alone.
This is the SHORT wheelbase model of that particular 7-series, model code "G11". And yeah, for the size of the car, the rear legroom is relatively small.
I own a 2019 750i and I've always been impressed by the "duality" that BMW provides in this platform. I considered the S-Class, but it was more luxurious without the driver's experience I wanted. Congrats on your new purchase!

That V8 sounds so bad ass. Sport exhaust in a big executive car. BMW is not afraid to let customers have all the luxury AND all the performance they have to offer. . Amazing. How much longer will cars like this even be around? You got on and off the autobahn enough times to tell the car handles well too. Great Vid.
G11 750i pre-LCI chef's kiss in modern BMW designs. Put the latest N63 in it and you'd have a dream car

I will say, after owning two different G12’s, it astonishes me the difference in rear seat leg room between the G11 & G12. As always, great video!

Beautiful spec guys - congrats! However as an owner of a G11 750iX I would have warned you that you need to get the G12 long version. The leg room at the G11 is just not enough for a big car like this. Also the Bowers and Wilkins audio is a must.
This! I have a pre-LCI G12 with every possible option ticked, from B & W Diamond Surround Sound to Sky Lounge led roof, from 1st class rear seating to Night Vision and 4-wheel steering etc. Most exclusive vehicle I've ever owned, and most sophisticated also. G12 is a must, G11 is too ... well ... 5-series "size" or look a like. IMHO.
Short wheelbase is rarer and looks better, also rear space is fine, I'm 1,94m 230 lbs and fit just fine. B&W is ok, but on 5er and 7er kinda lack the bass. The B&W on my bmw iX is far better
I have the sapphire black exterior with mocha interior on my G20 3 series. Great spec!

I love my G11 LCI 750i, even my wife says its the best BMW we've had until this day. The V8 is great with Sport Exhaust, you can get in and go 6-8-10h trip and feel great at the destination. Performance is perfect, really a good piece of engineering.

Pure elegance
I personally think that this is more comfortable and luxurious than the equivalent S class. Having driven both extensively as a chauffeur, I can say that the seats in the BMW are a lot better if you're quite tall, and the BMW is significantly quieter and more insulated inside, especially at higher speeds

@@borisyurinov4822 On a 3 series, no, but the 5 is quieter than an a6 or e class, and the 7 is definitely quieter than an s class.
I've driven them all, and when I get into a 5 or a 7 series, it's always a joy because of how quiet they are. I urge you to go try with a decibel meter :)

I am the current owner of a 750i F01 and previously owned a e65 7 Series. I was not interested at all when the 2016 G11/G12 was introduced. It was like a enlarged 3 or 4 Series. It paled to the S Class.
As soon as this LCI was introduced, I knew it would be my next Bimmer! I typically pay cash for a 3 year old loaded pre-owned vehicle. My time is nearly here. In fact in the next 90 days or so. I have a very specific color combination in mind which must include: M-Sport, Drivers Asst Pro, Laser Lights, Smart Key, B&W stereo and more. I was even considering a 760Li. But the performance is so close and the price increase doesn't justify it. Thanks for the fantastic review. You simply made my wait that much more exciting! Cheers! 🥃
I forgot to add... The new G70 is absolutely horrendous IMO. So that's another bonus for pricing for me on this vehicle. 😉
Also I also own a X5 xDrive 50i. It is a BEAST! Both of my cars are Mineral White. I'm looking for Bernina Grey Amber Effect or Donnington Grey for my G12.
Sadly, here in the states, only the long wheelbase is offered.
Nice choice. I think the black chrome looks very good. I'm not a fan of big grills but in this case when they are in black chrome it looks good. The sound in sport mode is amazing. Such a big car with such parameters is super comfortable for long trips. I wish you a pleasant drive in this nice car.
G11 LCI ist the best looking 7er after the mighty E38.
The front is still better looking than the latest 7 series model.
How much is the regular service more expensive in percentage in comparison to the 5 series ?

It's amazing, love the 7 series.....
The P-Zero Runflat tires ride like concrete in anything except for glass smooth highway you guys have in Europe. I switched over to Contisportcontact 5P and ride improved significantly despite riding on 21s. Now i am running on winter tires with 19 inch wheels, and it rodes sooo much better.
Would love to see you test drive a M550D, to represent the diesels aswell :)

Congratulations on the 750I. Btw the front brakes if they’re the 395x36 discs. Bmw uses them in x6/x5/x7 M50i trims. X3m/x4m, M750i, m850i, Alpina B7 & B8. Rolls Royce Phantom & Cullinan.
You probably just need new discs, you can use the X3M discs they’re lighter weight!

I prefer the pre-facelift G12 7 series. The Alpina B7 G12 is certainly in my top 5 of most beautiful sports limousines of all time. I just can't warm up to the front grille of the new beemers.
Same! The pre-facelift 7-series is one of the most elegant 7-series (or modern BMW), after E38 of course ;)
thinking about to buy this car for myself also.... I think stage 1 software would do like 650-700 hp so very nice..
the regular wheelbase version rear seats space is ridiculous in this category

I like your 750i, its a nice spec. My A8 is the same spec. Black on the outside with brown leather.
the grill is just a bit large but over time it might normalize. not much need for the v12 if you can tune the v8 properly.

Is there a video camera setting / postprocessing method that we all could use when recording cars that would not result that (annoying) characteristic flickering of the LED headlights / rear lights in almost all videos of modern vehicles? ...maybe a longer exposure time?

This one looks great from both sides in black as you say and this grill has the right size I think. Maybe 700+ hp (800+ hp) with a weight of over 2 tons. But this one is not too slow👍
I think until this year, BMW's designs were so good and special. Especially the G series BMWs are very mature in that regard. In recent 2-3 years not just BMW but most of the car companies creating "new" designs that are trying to be different, shouting out that it's different then internal combustion engine cars and stating that they have gone electric, which is in my opinion so ugly. I was open-minded about all the new designs, new grill, new look on M4, I even get used to it and started loving it. This is all subjective at the end of the day but I was feeling like with each years designs we were getting closer and closer to peak designs but now the opposite is happening which is ,in my opinion again, very sad.
I've loved this model of 7 series since I saw Doug Demuros review and I still think it's absolutely beautiful

I make those engines in bmw Munich,all the n63 (same engine is used for jaguar and range rover), s68 and s63 for living, assembling from engine block

Congrats to this car! Looks beautiful. Just surprised how less space in the rear is given to the passengers by a car that size...... But can imagine it´s fun to drive and comfortable as well, looks like you get the perfect daily... have a good and safe ride all the time !
I prefer how this 7 series facelift is over the s class facelift since Mercedes made the s class look like a bigger version of A class.
Definitely need to see some pov night driving with the ambient lighting from the driver's seat as well as the rear right passenger seat

If the car is produced after June '20, you can't tune or delete the speed limiter unless you're ready to pay +2.000€ to the Russian guy to do it. Also willing to send the ECU to Russia or Finland.
I listened to you and I bought myself sq7 4.0 diesel. Now looks like I’m headed to BMW 750i :) BTW, I got also q7 prior gen and I’m disappointed from the sq7 interior quality. I think Audi lowered the bar there… Still sq7 performance is great and side stability is ages ahead compared to old q7. I guess this bit is what I like the most. Plus that the sq7 is much more agile (my old q7 is 3.0diesel/245hp).
BMW is the way to go now as Audi and Mercedes feel the most diluted with there sound and performance

@@mortensenvick5711 mine is sepang blue w/t alcantara grey inside, w/t true carbon elements. Again, colour does not change the sense of luxury and quality of interior. Porsche do much better job there (again vag group).
in my opinion, this car is the pinnacle of BMW. super comfortable, demands road attention and looks aggressive.
