The bigger grills on BMW was needed. Every other Make already had large grills. The new one on the 7-series is perfect for the type of car it is.

I've gone to auto shows and been able to sit in these super high end vehicles. I have to say that the BMW left the biggest impression. Everything about it was just next level.
Love the comment about visor test at the end and then no actual visor tests. I guess I'll still stay subscribed.
"Make the logo bigger" ... The grill is the automotive equivalent of those awful Ralph Lauren shirts with the Polo design blown up to a foot tall.

The big pony design is to draw attention to the fact that your shirt costs more than a family dinner of four. My original reaction was “damn, that looks incredibly dumb.” It’s grown on me.

I test drove the Alpina B7 last week during Monterey Car Week, and I thought it was a fantastic car, and the massage seats and vitalize mode was just so nice combined with the quilted leather and the looks and the speed. So that’s my favorite version of this 7 series. It made me think, why bother with a Rolls Royce... this is half the price and just as nice.

I think the 1994 BMW 7 series is still the big boss of the car world. I know it's not modern, but it's got the right appeal.
That gen with the short wheelbase and sport package is one of the best looking sedans ever.
With some influence from your videos I was able to decide on my first vehicle purchase. I bought a 2019 Civic Si and love it thanks for the awesome videos guys my favorite RUclips car channel 👍👍

The comfort plus setting is really and truly why the car is even worth every dime it actually makes a difference in the ride till this day

OMG. I drive an early model E34, and the grills on the 750il seem to be at least 10 times as big as the grills on my car. What are they thinking with these huge grills?
The grill is big so when you hit a bird it goes straight through to get cooked on the radiator 😂😂

Gooseman2k2 true. But the Jaguar does not strike me anymore, it has aged now. Jaguar design boss laughs at BMW last year saying their new XJ will be huge design leap. So we wait for that. On the flip side, editorials say Jaguar Land Rover group are facing billions of dollars in debt so the future of the group is a bit indeterminate at the moment.

I work at a Hyundai/Genesis dealer and we have one of the new G90’s in stock, it really is something to behold. I’m still fairly new though, so I haven’t been able to drive it lol.

@@Leszlig Perhaps. While these cars have always been status symbols, it used to be you bought a BMW because it was a high quality sedan with a pulse. My take is the largest consumers of these high-end vehicles are now buying BMWs for the prestige of the brand name first, actual design, performance and driving experience are not as important. That's why I believe we're seeing all these scaled up defining characteristics, logos, fake M cars, fake AMGS, interior light shows, self-defeating touchscreen tech, etc, etc. It is a cultural difference between European/US demands versus the demands primarily of China which are dictating the new language of BMW.
BMW originally had bigger grills than this! Look it up! The grills got small in the 80s and that’s what everyone remembers
@@emptybottle2405 Well sure, if you go back to the 30s and 40s every car had a massive grill, they also had fenders separated from the engine compartment and running boards. The 50s had the Aryll Flynn mustache, the 60s/70s/80s had buck teeth and now they have Badonkadonks.

Not sure if they’re messing around or not but they’re not waiting long enough after saying “Hey BMW” before saying what they want the car to do. It tells you on the screen when to say your command after saying “Hey BMW”. If you wait until it tells you to speak it works fine.

I'm liking these refreshed BMW lights. BMW lights have looked so "vague" and shapeless the past few iterations especially the X series.

Typical comment from someone who has never owned a bmw. I have a 5 year old bmw now and have had a 20 year old bmw. Both work almost without any issues (compared to my brother's audis and VWs)

@@bassandtrebleclef I am a fan of many brands, and I love quite a few cars from Volvo, Toyota, Mazda, and Alfa Romeo, mate. I just told you what my experience with BMW was ... I might be wrong and they might break but so far BMWs are the most reliable cars I've had. Hope it stays that way. Cheers!
@Rata 4U yup. And actually to be specific it is because of high-income earners who lease their cars for around 3 years. The ultra wealthy actually got that way because they buy slightly used. And they actually buy instead of leasing My dad always buys used except for his S classes. After seeing the depreciation he will be getting his next car used.
I can't afford any of the cars they review but I still watch every single video because they are freaking entertaining
