THIS IS TOO AWESOME FOR WORDS! I CAN FINALLY GET A VIEWFINDER ON MY NORMAL CAMCORDER WITH A FLIPSCREEN! THX SOO MUCH!!! it would be even more awesome if it had like a real rubber eyepiece! like a professional film one!! :D
Great idea, and well executed. One minor note: this doesn't produce a 5" distance from the viewfinder, as the 5" measurements end up on a hypotenuse, so it's a bit less than 5". Probably not much of a problem with younger eyes. I'm 41, have had razor sharp vision my whole life, and right now, I'd need to make one of these about 7" long! Luckily, age also makes the $50 price of an optical commercial viewfinder a non-issue :) At any rate, great sun shade, and well explained. Kudos!
I'm really dumb. I was already taping the viewfinder I bought that came with no "sticky part" to glue at the lcd screen, until I saw this video. Thank You!
Hi, I would like to ask have you DIY the camera rig that was in this video and if yes could you share how, and also how did you attached the camera to the pre-amp and the pre-amp to the rig? Regards Svetozar
ive tried...but no CIgar! :( i end up having to make a flinder thats 30 cm long or my eyes cant focus..youll be needing a magnification glass in it :) cool vid though! Jacques
FABULOUS...I have a Nikon Coolpix L830---no viewfinder.....only LCD screen and in bright sun, I shoot blind.....can't see a dang thing. Would love to have one and would offer to pay you to make one for me?
