    • @Jim_L
      @Jim_L 5 месяцев назад +6

      The problem with that way of looking at it is that for a substantial chunk of people, cheating is not about "thinking"; it's about getting caught up in one's sexual desires in the MOMENT, which is what happened in this film.
      Yes, for those thinking about it before actually engaging in the cheating act, then a film like this might be a good thing to check out and really contemplate before proceeding any further. But for one of those spur-of-the-moment, once-in-a-million lifetime opportunities to have sex outside of your current committed relationship, your sexual desires are going to win out probably 48 times out of 50, if not 50 out of 50.
      DISCLAIMER: I'm speaking from a guy's perspective on this.

      "Hunted him down"? They were colleagues! After professionally collaborating (briefly), they ran into each other in the pouring rain and had lunch/drinks/coffee together. There was no "hunting". There was no "seducing". They were BOTH heavily flirting with each other! That's because they were BOTH attracted to each other. Only she wasn't the one with personal obligations; HE was! She even specifically points out how he's here "being bad" with another woman while his wife and kid are away. He dismisses it, as if he's not fully aware of what kind of interaction they're having.
      Cheating wouldn't have happened if he had simply ended the interaction with the meal and had gone the f**k home! That's the least of what he owed his family. He invited this misery not only into his life, not only into her life, but his family's lives as well. Everyone lost in this situation all because of what boiled down to HIS wrong choice. End of story.

      Ok, let's correct a couple of things:
      1) They were not "colleagues", it's not like they would see each other every day at the office. They had just met.
      2) I never said he is not to blame, of course he is, but SO IS SHE. That's my point. The fact that she is single IS NO EXCUSE! She is an ADULT and she knows he is married.
      3) You're contradicting yourself when you imply there's nothing wrong with two colleagues having lunch and drinks, but at the same time claiming he was being a "bad boy" for doing it.
      4) She made the first move when she paused to ask him "Are you discrete?" and then started lowering her voice to let him know she is also "discrete" and then goes on to remind him "they are two adults alone for the weekend". Come on!!!!!
      5) He is to blame, and she is to blame as well. She is NO VICTIM here. She asked for one night, but then DEMANDED a life long relationship. PLEASE!!!!!
