Are you actually going to review the picture quality etc? Maybe I missed it. Thanks for the video
Thanks, I found this review actually useful. Probably the only review that answered all my questions
Thank you!
I recently purchased this same projector and this video was very useful, thanks a lot!
You're very welcome! Glad it was helpful!
@@Accounting4Cycling How do you mount it on a ceiling ?
This projector would require a shelf or a drop down ceiling table as it doesn't have holes for a ceiling mount.
Very helpful review. I really like the way you section the review and give enough sample footage. thanks
Thank you!
Nice video!. Personally I find judging a projector on its sound is like rating an AVR on it's LCD display, and to a lesser degree it's Smart functions which I would bypass (to avoid processor lag / adverts) with a Shield Pro or some sort of HDMI stick.
Thanks. Would have liked to seen examples of the image, brightness, and contrast this projector produces. As an artist, I am looking for a good projector to create hyper-realistic images, so that information is essential for me.
I actually recently did a follow-up on image in various light conditions and modes. Nothing too specific, but shows it off in real-world usage! There's a few shorts on my channel, too.
How is this for watching movies in the dark? There’s no contrast ratio specified and no hdr. I’ve heard the black levels are poor and it’s not great for watching movies in the dark?
I would say it's okay for watching movies in the dark. HDR is going to be on the more premium projectors and likely be paired with 4K and a higher than $1000 price point (or much more). This is a great all around projector, but if you're mostly planning on dark, lights completely off, movies I would probably pass on it and go for something that is a cinema series. The flexibility comes with sacrifices for more projectors, but laser and short-throw projectors would be a better fit for darker rooms and probably will be 4K & HDR.
Thanks for watching!
Do you intend to record a video showing the projector image? I would like more information about its brightness, contrast, gaming performance. Thanks for the video, there is not much information about this projector on the web.
Absolutely, I've been testing it out to put it through it's paces. This is definitely packaged as an entertainment/streaming first projector, it is a lamp based projector, which helps a lot with daylight visibility and brightness! I have the Epson EF11 Laser projector that I use with my bike trainer that's 1,000 lumens and works pretty well in bright rooms, I'll have to do a comparison between them since this one (the EpiqVision Flex) can go up to 3,000 lumens of brightness! I'll be sure to do a follow up of it running through a variety of scenarios.
This is a great review, and it had almost convinced me to buy it (even though I had intended to build my own screen which wouldve cost about $100 versus the $1000 premium Epson is charging for including one you have to build yourself anyway)... But the need for a 3 foot deep stand in front of the screen is a total killer. Due to the layout of the room I just would not be able to make that work. But I'm still looking and still doing homework, so you have earned a new subscriber! Thanks again!
Where is the review?! There is 4:45 seconds of taking out the box and waffle but nothing about the actually using the device.
Thank you for watching! I do have quite a few shorts with the video and how it compares to my LED TV, I was trying to keep the video shorter and supplement with shorts and/or a follow up after significant use. I do love waffles, though!
Very.........nice..........interesting &helpfull video sir it's very useful to all viewers so thanks to you made this amazing video for all viewers.............👍👍👍👍
I just got it today im trying to connect my speakers and my ps5
Hi, thanks for watching! You should be able to connect your PS5 to the HDMI port (unplugging the Android TV stick). For your speakers, it would depend on how they are able to connect (or how they connect currently). The HDMI from the PS5 or Android TV stick* will send audio to the projector and you can use the onboard 5-watt speaker for sound, or if it's something like a home theater receiver or some soundbars, it likely has HDMI switching built-in and can handle the Android Tv, PS5, audio, and one cable to the projector's singe HDMI.
*The Android TV stick supports Bluetooth speakers on it's own, but that's separate from the projector and will not work with the PS5, but the PS5 may also be able to support a Bluetooth speaker output, I'm just unfamiliar with the PS5.
Can this model’s lamp be replaced? I heard so many people said lamp cannot be replaced😢
Great unboxing.. maybe make another video showing actual quality of picture. Everyone knows how to open box… more technical information helps
Thanks for watching! I actually just did a video quality comparison video the other day, nothing too special and shot on my phone, but I compare it to my Epson EF-11 laser lit 3LCD projector in various amounts of natural and artificial light. Check it out and don't be afraid to skip around, its very candid and unedited: ruclips.net/video/_g4K0aq9vlc/видео.html
Hi thanks for the video - is there any way to mount this to the ceiling? From what I've read/seen, it doesn't seem to have the required mounting holes on the base of the unit
Yeah, but you have to use a shelf style mount. Epson did not include a way to use a standard ceiling mount, unfortunately.
Hi, I have a question FH02, only 1 HDMI, so I won't be able to keep the android TV dongle plugged, while connecting another HDMI like a laptop? will I have to unplug the dongle every time? (not convenient when it is ceiling mounted) Thanks!
That is correct, just the one HDMI. You can use an HDMI selector or connect a home theater receiver to manage the other devices. Also, there is not real ceiling mount, you have to place it on a shelf.
Have you heared about xgimi? The products are said to be very good.
It's ironic how they use an image from Avatar, which is the most amazing example of 3D film making, yet this projector does not actually support 3D.
Look into the AWOL Vision LTV-3500. It does support 3D and has everything I've ever wanted in an UST projector.
hey, got a tw7400 at the moment and unfortuntely have to change projector due to smaller space... reluctantly. How is the image, the blacks and colours in comparison to this tw7400? I know lamp based projectors are superior in color accuracy and deep blacks but how much?
When we press close button is the fan close instantly same time with the bulb or the fan close after the bulb cooled? Thanks.
The fan runs for about 30 seconds to a minute after powering down to cool the bulb.
GOOD Testing
Fh02 or Ef12? What do you think? With similar price points.
The FH-02 gets a little brighter, but the EF should be able to be mounted and that laser light source has incredible colors! I have the EF-11, so I can speak to the autofocus or the smart features, but the colors and vibrancy of the laser light source are much better than an incandescent bulb (FH-02 uses a bulb). I'd go for the laser projector, EF-12. The EF-12 should also have the 3 hole standard mount option, but I'm assuming it uses the same bottom plate as the EF-11, which it should.
The brightness is 3000 LED lumen or 3000 ANSI lumen
ANSI lumens, this projector does not use an LED light source.
Hey there, I cannot quite decide between this projector and ViewSonic M2e do you have a preferance or suggestion between these two ?
I don't have any hands on experience with the M2e, but if you're planning on using the projector in a well lit or sunny room, the Epson FH-02 is phenomenal in bright and all other lighting I've used it in! I've also always had an excellent experience with Epson.
@@Accounting4Cycling Yeah I have pretty good lightning in the room, definitely gonna consider your comment, thanks !
@@UrTPuNiSh3r happy to assist!
im really interested getting this for gaming but no info regarding input lag.
I’m really interested in getting a new projector for mainly using outdoors. The two I’m trying to decide between is the benq gs50 or the Espon ef 12. Which one would you recommend?
Both are nice projectors, I only have direct experience with the Epson EF11, very similar to the EF12 but with no smart features built in. The EF11 has served me fantastically for the last two years as my office/Zwift indoor cycling projector. The 1,000 lumens does well in a bright room, pretty good in sun lit rooms, and very nicely outside at night! You'll do very well with either, just keep your eyes peeled for good deals!
Sorry but could you share how does this new CO-FH02 compared with Epson EF11 in picture quality aspect? I can see it is brighter but no information available regarding contrast ratio which is a important factor as well.
Thank you
@@quocanhnguyenvu6185 The CO-FH02 is definitely brighter than the EF-11, but they both handle well lit room incredibly well. I would definitely say the laser lighting helps create richer and truer coloring, while the bulb tends to work best on vivid. If you're using them in a darker room, I'd stick with the EF-11 (I have mine set up in my bike trainer area for Zwift and it can be darker) but if you're looking for something that is more multipurpose and plan to use it in many different lighting situations, that's where this projector (the CO-FH02). Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
That’s really helpful. Thank you
Hey thanks for this review, have you measured the input lag? I cannot find any info about it.
Julien
Unfortunately I couldn't connect the pendrive to it. 😢😢😢
@Andersonsilva-lr1pb the USB dongle that came with it ir a separate USB drive? The port is mostly for power and servicing.
Thanks for watching!
@@Accounting4Cycling I'm referring to the USB input that doesn't accept a pen drive. If you have a movie on the pen drive, you won't be able to connect it to the projector.
@Andersonsilva-lr1pb you'd have to either send it through a PC or another HDMI compatible device that can play it. USB-A for power only is becoming more common on a lot of "smart" devices, this is one of those.
How do I replace the lamp on it ?
sir, please give me one suggestion that 4000 lumens with 1000:1 contrast ratio projector is worth to buy or not???
Hi make a video from picture. ✌️👍We need footage. 😜 How loud are the fan's. Input Lag? Under 20? 🤔🤔
Ummmm, where was the review part?
Thanks for watching! I made a second video that also shows picture quality in various amounts and types of lighting.
ruclips.net/video/_g4K0aq9vlc/видео.html
There's also a number of shorts I made showing off the picture on my living room wall watching basketball.
How can I connect it to laptop?
@naheel3948 you would connect the projectors' HDMI input to the laptop's video out (HDMI, DP, USB-C DP). You would have to disconnect the steaming stick, but all HDMI devices should just plug into the projector.
You may have to select what to do with it on your laptop; i.e. extend, mirror, show only on 1 or 2, etc, in display settings
Any directions on how to pair a Bluetooth speaker?
It's in the "remotes and devices" section of the Android TV menu, not the Epson projector menu. You pair it just like the black remote, weird but kind of makes sense. The speaker on the projector still works, too, it's a strange implementation. 🤣
@@Accounting4Cycling thank you! That’s exactly how it works. It is a bit weird, but thank you for your response.
@@mrvixtergg of course! Happy to help with some insights! I wish I could get my hands on a review unit of the Xgimi projectors, but c'est la vie!
Can you mount this to the ceiling and invert image?
You would have to use a ceiling shelf mount, for whatever reason Epson did not make the Flex series compatible with traditional ceiling mounts.
What is the point of reviewing a projector without even showing its main use case, namely the video quality?
Thanks for watching! I just posted a short and a post addressing this. I wanted to get the video up while I had some time between work, and getting accurate shots of a projector is no easy task. It looks good and sharp, can definitely overcome a large amount of light in the room!
is the keystone horizontal and vertical?
It is, and all controlled digitally. Same with zoom/image size (outside of physically moving it).
Does this projector support projecting from the rear of the screen?
It does support rear projection!
@@Accounting4Cycling how do you access the setting to change it. Can’t find it for the life of me
@@ggonzalez_19 using the white remote, you have to go into the projector menu, display settings, and it should have a projector location setting that allows inverted and mirrored display
I just double checked on it. On the white remote (it's for the projector, not the streaming stick), open the menu (middle-right, 3 lines and a checkmark button), Settings>Installation>Projection>select the mode you'd like to use. Hope this helps!
It never did work, did it?
This is in varying light conditions, including direct sunlight. I have a few shorts with it in a well lit room displaying basketball next to our 65" LED TV. It works quite well, especially as a second, quick display for streaming sports!
ruclips.net/video/_g4K0aq9vlc/видео.html
is the bulb replaceable?
I don't believe so. I'm planning to do a "tear down" type video to see if it's possible, I just didn't want to accidentally break the projector before March Madness was over. 🤣
Does anyone else have issues with the HT1070A sound? I thought it was my speaker but when I connected my soundbar to my phone or laptop, it has great sound. When I connect my soundbar to this speaker, even at max volume, it sounds super quiet. It's not my aux cord as I have tried a few and they all work great when connected to my phone or laptop. I've maxed the volume on the soundbar and on the projector but it doesn't seem to help. Any ideas?
Are you using HDMI connection or Bluetooth? I noticed a lower sound volumen from my soundbar when I connect it to the projector with Bluetooth (even on 100% volume).
Does this have Bluetooth??
It does. It's very helpful to connect a BT speaker!
Hi! Does the projector also have holes for a ceiling mount?
It does not have the screw holes for a standard mount (that I've seen) l, but you can always use a universal mount shelf like this:
Universal Projector Ceiling Mount with Tray for Projector/Camera, Superior&Sturdy Carbon Steel-33lbs Load Capacity - Universal Bracket - Height Adjustable 11.4-22inches, in-Tube Cable Routing a.co/d/gd9HrtH
Where is the review? This is just you unpacking a projector??
