I made this Greeb Shito a few days ago with a bit of alterations. First I added leeks to give it more oniony taste and also thyme and bay leaf in the hot oil before pouring the pepper mixture into the oil. I cooked it for almost an hour. Man, it was heavenly . Thanks Nanaaba it was great.

I just did it. I didn't have the shrimp which I replaced with a Thai shrimp paste. it’s so delicious. on the other hand I will no longer put coconut oil because it freeze in the refrigerator and I don’t like that. I make toast with baguette, creame cheese and this sauce 😋😋😋

Yes sis, back in the motherland, we typically use kpakpo shito AKA pettie belle chillis, however, the scarcity of those chilis in the diaspora opens up the doorway for experimentation 🙈 the peppers don’t only bring more flavour, but also give volume which is like a win win situation.
