- In this video I go over talking points regarding the newest Elgato Capture Cards the 4K X & the 4K Pro. I also show you in the video how to setup chat link, and chat link pro, while setting up your Capture Card in OBS. Once thing I forgot to mention on capture Cards, IN should connect to your Console/Gaming PC, OUT Connects to you Gaming Monitor/TV. In the Video my Grey cable is connected from my Console to the IN on my Card, and the Black Cable is my OUT connected to my TV/ Gaming Monitor.

If you prefer portability, or are a Mac, or iPad Pro user, I highly suggest the 4K X. If you're a Dual PC setup user, or have a beefy PC build that your MOBO can support the PCIE requirements, then I highly suggest the 4K Pro. Ultimately it comes down to what you want to record, and preference. Just make sure your PC meets the required specs for either card.

I also found a work around using Astro A40s where I can split my output cable and then run a line in to my pc and get all sound, game, game chat, party chat. If I hear it the sound goes thru the line in.
That said I mostly just run my voice with a two mic deal.
I got the Elgato low profile arm for my other mic. I LOVE it.
That’s awesome that you have that solution, as a lot of people have issues with Astros.
@@iLadyVic It took a few days of cussing and a few incorrect wires ordered before I finally got a working solution but I got it 🤘🤘

It’s a simple fix for either a chatlink pro, or over hdmi. It just depends on what you want.
why do you do the 4K X Video Capture 2 times
1 is for chatlink pro, and one is without. I do it for each card.

I really had trouble getting my HD60 X correctly since it was stuttering in my streams and recordings I heard this capture card works only with usb 3.0 and I have usb 3.2 which I’m thinking that’s why it’s happening

@@iLadyVic I actually figured out what it was the Elgato capture cards don’t like sharing power with other electronics and it need full potential and power to work properly I did some testing and the recording looked good I appreciate the help anyway :)
@@iLadyVic I’ll do this as well I’ll disable it and restart the pc just to be safe
Oh yeah, make sure the use port isn’t sharing power with the other next to it. USBs are picky.
