In my experience I only ever hear about elgato when it comes to capture cards, and when I say that I mean without intentionally looking for them. I'm glad that they're at this level. More often than not we see that companies can work so fast and come out with the next generation of hardware. It wild.
I had so many random USB issues on macOS and AMD PC systems with my Camlink 4K that I never had with my AVerMedia. That said, being able to capture 4K @ 60Hz will be so nice once Sony releases a true successor to the ZV-1 that I'm hoping that Elgato has cleared all that mess up.
Thank you for the comprehensive review as always! I do have a question, a request perhaps-can you recommend a UPC for desktop use? (Uninterruptible Power Supply). We get power outages here, power goes out for 1 second, killing everything, it comes back, then 5 mins later goes out again for 1 second, then back up again. Am looking to get a unit to plug my modem+router into, and a separate one just for my desktop. If you think you might do a review on a couple models or so, in the very near future, that would be awesome. I am looking to buying from either Staples, or Best Buy for my shopping needs. Quick question! This has nothing to do with the video. I have tried several of the victrix bfg controllers, and I'm having a weird issue where It feels like aim assist cuts out. For reference I'm a Simi pro Apex legends player, and I have been maining the victrix gambit since it's came out. This is just a very weird issue, because I have not felt this with any other controller ( I have tried several other controllers). Also my buddies have also tried the BFG and had the same issue, so it's not just a me thing.

But yeah I digress, I’ve been in an internal clash for months now between the internal or external Elgato card (and thought I’d be there for an eternity tbh) but thankfully seeing your review pretty much motivated me to swing more towards the internal capture card (just hoping it can fit despite that bulky 4090, but i think it can fit snuggly since i may have 2 or 3 couple PCIe ports still available). P.S. Congrats to the lucky “Buckaroo” 🏇out there who was gifted the 4K60 Pro much props 🙌
Hello, do you know if having this capture card will solve problem with obs stutter. I just have one pc with RTX 4090 where i play and record and 4k tv with 120hz and vrr but my games runs at 4K 90-100fps so when i record videos on obs at 60 fps it makes video stuttering i guess because of out of sync frames, but when i cap my games to 60fps I don't have video stutter anymore... I heard its VRR problem with obs...I want smooth video at 60 fps and want to play on 120 fps. What should i do? How you manage to record 120 fps games without stutter? Thanks a lot in advance!
