The ultimate positive thing to say about this movie, is that it somehow manages to be absolutely crazy, yet at the same time make SO much sense that it makes you feel ALL the emotions. I am so extremely positively surprised about a movie that really makes NO sense.... yet manages to make the most sense.

This is one of the few Oscar winning movies that I actually enjoyed watching.. Most of them are so artsy fartsy that you really need to have a "mood" to appreciate them. They might be masterful but they seldom are entertaining. Ke Huy Quan is my favourite amongst the cast here. He was simply stellar and stole the show for me. Absolute mind trip of a movie!

20:45 Go back and re-watch the beginning of the movie. Right before the "EVERYTHING" pops up on the screen at the end of the opening sequence, pay attention to Gong Gong sitting at the side of the table rather than Evelyn in the center of the shot. You'll see him blow his nose into his napkin, then wipe down his chopsticks and the rim of his noodle bowl with the same napkin. 🤢 So it's not a new taste to him. 😂
EDIT: Oh, and at 21:17 the guy humping the lamp as his "jumping point" is doubtless a tribute to one of The Daniels' earliest projects as directors, the music video for "Turn Down For What".

I haven’t laughed this hard outside of a comedy film outside of a Jackass movie and I haven’t had my heartstrings pulled this much outside of a Pixar movie. Seriously, how is it possible that in the same movie where we see Michelle Yeoh fighting 2 guys with BUTTPLUGS up there asses with fighting and stunt choreography that rivals the John Wick movies also makes me weep at the sight of her and her daughter hugging and crying together in the end of the movie?!?! I mean the line of “In another life I would’ve loved doing laundry and taxes with you” breaks my heart every time I hear it!
This film won 7 Oscars and became the first science fiction film to ever win Best Picture.

I noticed so many reactors mistakent the divorce paper was from Evenly and that the characters travel through time. The opposite is true about the dissolution of marriage document, and the only timeline jumping is the different universes.
BTW, the editing team is about a group of five to seven people (dependent on source [universe???] of report, lol) and yes they won the Oscar.

I don't think people realise the courage and compassion it takes to "let someone go."
To force someone to "stay" when they are that much pain and sadness is cruel and selfish.
And I know ultimately Joy changed her mind. And that's the point. It was Joy's choice.

Fun Facts about Everything Everywhere All At Once:
    1. This is Academy Award winning editor Paul Roger's 2nd film.
    2. The special effects were worked on by 5 people.
    3. This is Ke Huy Quan's first film since retiring from acting 20 years ago. (I encourage you to look up his story if you hadn't heard of it)
    4. The Russo Brother's produced this film. Yes those Russo Bros, but they didn't win an Academy Award because the Academy has a rule that only 3 producers on a film can win the award for Best Picture.

What the Daniels do so brilliantly is to grab our attention from the start with a fascinating story that moves quickly, while making us think about our own life paths and choices. Then they shock and surprise us in clever ways that tie the story together brilliantlý. Then, while we are laughing, and horrified at some of the vulgarity, and our emotions are wide open, they hold a big ole' mirror up to us, the audience, and say: "Look at the story again". And we have an epiphany with Evelyn that her Waymond isn't weak, he's the hero who was always rescuing HER. Fighting for HER. Cleaning up after HER. And they show us a way to live where the big gun battle is about turning bullets into googly eyes, and fighting with kindness, finding out what is hurting our enemies and giving them their heart's desire. It is so opposite to every movie we have ever watched, and makes us feel connected to each other and people we care about. It's truly beautiful. I will say that I didn't FULLY experience the film until the 2nd watch, now I am obsessed! Thanks for your reaction..Another awesome movie that happens to be a favorite of the Daniels is 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind' with Jim Carrey 👀🪨

I highly recommend the 1991 rock Biopic THE DOORS, directed by Oliver Stone, starring Val Kilmer as Jim Morrison where it tells his story from UCLA film student turned tragic 1970's rock star.
Also starring Meg Ryan, Kyle Maclachlan, Frank Whaley, Kevin Dillon, Michael Madsen, Kathleen Quinlan, Michael Wincott, Crispin Glover, and Billy Idol.

I know this is what so many of us have said, but one of the amazing things about this movie is that it's bat-sh*t crazy, incredibly deep, often hilarious, and makes you bawl with emotion. Sometimes all at once. ❤

Re. divorce - it seems like every reactor thinks she served him the papers, yet it clearly says Waymond is seeking a divorce.

I think it's because Evelyn is obviously more unhappy in her life, whereas Waymond's outwardly more happy (the line about it not mattering what her father sees so long as they see a worthwhile life they've built) & talking about future events with them together (like taking a trip together after the tax situation is sorted out) Which makes sense only later when we find out he didn't file a divorce because he actually wants to get divorced, just the opposite really. And granted, yeah, you can just look at the names on the paperwork but that early in the movie a lot of people don't know Waymond's name, plus they're already being hit with a LOT of info all at once to absorb so it's easy to overlook.

The confusions happens with the typed page. If you read it a second late you miss 'Waymond Wang seeks to divorce..." and see Evelyn's name above it..

While all the big studios are trying to whip up the big comic book multiverse movie, this rather small movie actually managed to be the best multiverse movie ever. I was more disappointed with Dr Strange Multiverse of Madness, because it was nowhere close to the miraculous EEAAO. I regret not watching this in a theater. Of course, not a fan of the dildos scene. And my favourite is the 2 stones scene.
I hate to say this, but this small movie has put the entire MCU multiverse saga at risk. Kevin Feige will have to rework the entire Phase-5 and 6 slate to be a better experience than EEAAO.

darn. Always disappointing to see reactors who've either already seen the movie and already made up their minds OR just don't have the emotional space to actually absorb it.
You 2 clearly have some weird sexual tension going on preventing you from being open emotionally with each other. Good luck with all of that!

Watching, uh, one of these reactors reminded me how you can just tell how low someone's IQ is just by seeing them sit and watch something.
