This movie is surprisingly a lot of fun. And seeing how it spawned 2 sequels already, it’s definitely fun for the whole family.
The original is far better than the sequels imo

The lady at the unemployment agency is Ann Meara, Ben's mother and legendary comedic actress. Ever since I was very young, I've had an appreciation for history instilled in me. To have history come to life like this movie would be a fantasy come true, especially being able to talk with the actual Teddy Roosevelt, a hero of mine.
I grew up with his parents comedy act, this scene made me tear up.

They're in the "Frat Pack" with Will Ferrel, Black Jack, Luke Wilson, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, etc. They almost always work together or cameo in each other's films.
I feel like Night At The Museum is a very underrated franchise. Nobody seems to talk about it anymore. I'm glad you both liked this one. I hope you'll like the sequels too.

Dick Van Dyke (Cecil), Mickey Rooney (short one) and Bill Cobbs are great as the bad guys. It was a stacked cast at the museum.
I can't believe that you guys, despite being Americans, still haven't watched this movie. I mean, I'm Indian and this movie was always on Star Movies. We all grew up watching this movie. But thanks for the reaction, I just had a fun nostalgic moment reminiscing about it.
The casting was awesome in this movie, lots of great actors playing smaller rolls but it really made the movie. Jaby's and Kristen's reactions, and comments are the always fun.

One of my all time favorite childhood films. Combining 3 of my favorite things as a kid to watch, museums, dinosaurs, and the immortal Robin Williams.
I would argue that overall, the Night at the Museum movies defy the whole "law of diminishing returns" thing. I love all three.
I had a DVD of this movie since 2006! So I watched this over 100 times in my childhood. Such a special movie❤️

Really liked this reaction and the back and forth between you two. This is a fun movie for everyone. Jaby couldn't hide his feelings for Carla Gugino, like every other man on the planet. She is gorgeous in this movie. Was a perfect date night movie in the theater. One last thing...YES! "Make Comedy great again!"
I LOVED this movie when I was a kid! One of my all time favorite movies. Watched it so many times and I never got bored to watch it.
The last scene with “September” brought me to one of my all time favorite songs because of this movie.
Just a great, funny, magical movie that everyone can enjoy.

i believe this film was also the first to make meta-humor/dialogue mainstream. i remember when i first saw it and thinking, "the dialogue is just like actual people talking". one movie down 2 to go and i think the second is my favorite of the three just because of one character whom is one of my favorite historical figures not to mention a very good actor in everything i see them in.
I remember that dum dum gum gum statue was so hilarious for me as a kid, me and my siblings would call each other dum dum all the time

the second one is so much fun, you'll enjoy it just as much or even more.
I loved this movie as a kid and last year I've decided to rewatch it and it still holds up, it's also fun because I've been to the real museum a few years ago.
The inside looks nothing like the real NHM obviously, but the things inside are pretty similar, there are a lot of rooms filled with animal and wildlife dioramas and a life size blue whale hanging from the ceiling, it's a lot of fun
I'll just say this about the next night at the museum movie. it has the rare distinction of possessing a moment that put me on the floor from laughing so damn hard. Not many comedies get me laughing that much.
