It isn't outright said, but the reason he's so much better than the three old guards is because all their time in charge they locked all the exhibits up and never let them roam around, never learned any other language, never tried to get along. Larry let them loose and turned them into a team.
Ann Mera, she and Ben's Dad were a very successful comedy team of Stiller and Mera. Everyone knows Jerry Stiller from Seinfeld as George's Dad, "Festivus for the rest of us!"
The lady at the unemployment agency is Ann Meara, Ben's mother and legendary comedic actress. Ever since I was very young, I've had an appreciation for history instilled in me. To have history come to life like this movie would be a fantasy come true, especially being able to talk with the actual Teddy Roosevelt, a hero of mine.
I feel like Night At The Museum is a very underrated franchise. Nobody seems to talk about it anymore. I'm glad you both liked this one. I hope you'll like the sequels too.
Fun fact: Teddy actually 'walked off' an assassination attempt. Took a bullet to the chest but his speech, written on a crumpled paper in his jacket pocket, impeded the bullet. With the bullet fragment still in his chest and the bloodied speech in his hand he went on for over an hour before getting medical attention.
Even more awesome, his opening words to his speech were: "Friends, I shall ask you to be as quiet as possible. I don't know whether you fully understand that I have just been shot-but it takes more than that to kill a Bull Moose."
He also ask his security to bring the assassin to him, wanting to know why he tried to kill him, but when there was no response, Teddy ordered him to be taken away
The casting was awesome in this movie, lots of great actors playing smaller rolls but it really made the movie. Jaby's and Kristen's reactions, and comments are the always fun.
I can't believe that you guys, despite being Americans, still haven't watched this movie. I mean, I'm Indian and this movie was always on Star Movies. We all grew up watching this movie. But thanks for the reaction, I just had a fun nostalgic moment reminiscing about it.
They're in the "Frat Pack" with Will Ferrel, Black Jack, Luke Wilson, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, etc. They almost always work together or cameo in each other's films.
Jaby's got an awesome belly laugh when he cuts loose. His laughs are as good as when Happy Lil Dingdong loses it at a touching scene and bawls her eyes out 🤣
Love this movie. And this is the first time I watched since becoming a father, and finally seeing that kid proud of his father, really moved me. It’s what we all hope for.
I watched this when I was a high school intern at a the big museum in my city and LOVED IT …. As an adult I’m here for the pettiness of Ben Stiller’s character lol
Something that I always found interesting is the fact that the replica versions of the historic figures that are "brought to life" , know they are not real. But what about the real bodies & remains of people, like the Kemet pharaoh for example....? Does the tablet yank the actual soul of that person from the afterlife and place said soul into its original Earthly body when the tablet is interacting with real human remains and not wax? Edit: I teared up when I saw Robin Williams. Rest in Power Beloved Man, Husband, Father, Comedian, Actor & Friend. 1951-2014
I LOVED this movie when I was a kid! One of my all time favorite movies. Watched it so many times and I never got bored to watch it. The last scene with “September” brought me to one of my all time favorite songs because of this movie. Just a great, funny, magical movie that everyone can enjoy.
One of my favorite movies and series. Everyone is great in it, but Attila the Hun might be one of the best casting choices ever made in any movie ever 😂
When this movie came out and i watched it's trailer on t.v., I literally begged my father to take us to watch this movie in theater. One of the most memorable movies of my lifetime!
I’ve loved this film since it first came out. In the winter of 2006, I was 10 years old when I went to go see this movie in theaters with my parents and sister. We all loved it and have loved it ever since. Make sure you guys watch the sequels too!!!
This movie had a lot of heart. It's sad that movies like these are not in vogue anymore. Honestly I loved this movie as a kid. Personally one of my big fantasies is meeting legends from History. Ever since Assassin's Creed has been a thing, Animus tech is probably one of my favorites in terms of historical fiction lol. So naturally it lead to me taking to this movie like a moth to a flame.
Date night movie with Kristen!!! I’d like to visit a museum with you. 😋 Oh hi Jaby. EDIT: You missed the ending scene where the old guys clean up everything.
Patrick Gallagher playing Attila the Hun in this while I'm currently playing Ghost of Tsushima where he plays Khotun Khan 🤣 guys got the Mongolian role locked down
When this movie came out the school organized a field trip for us to spend the night at a museum in Little Rock it was a science museum though still fun 😂 and when the sequel came out we did it again 😂. Best field trip of my youth
as for the last conversation Jaby and Kristen were talking about, I agree... I was even asking how would today's sitcom be as good as the old sitcom if almost everything nowadays are offensive.
Really liked this reaction and the back and forth between you two. This is a fun movie for everyone. Jaby couldn't hide his feelings for Carla Gugino, like every other man on the planet. She is gorgeous in this movie. Was a perfect date night movie in the theater. One last thing...YES! "Make Comedy great again!"
Carla Gugino...a fine actress to play the museum docent. Some of her other projects: The Buccaneers (miniseries), Snake Eyes (w/Nicholas Cage), and Spy Kids (mom).
This movie is such a fun one! Ben Stiller is so much fun here, as is all the rest of the cast. Great humor and a fun story! I miss this one, I want to watch this again.
Lol such a surprise for me ... Here i m enjoying the things back again which i found more than 15 yrs ago..there is second part as well.. we will love to watch that movie back again beside u . Thank u jaby.. for bringing back those old memories.. U guys can do reaction on back to future
"Smile my boy, its sunrise."
RIP, Robin Williams 1951-2014.
He walked into sunrise one last time.
Robin Williams didn't walk into the sunrise.
He BECAME the sunrise.
2014 that long ago that's gone quick

Fun fact: the unemployment office lady is Ben Stiller's real life mother.
I just stopped the reaction and was looking if someone wrote that 😊

@@buzbom1 Me too.
Kristen's jumping for joy when she saw the T-Rex was just a large puppy was so wholesome.
Another mommy lover.
Yeah... So did some other puppies
This movie is surprisingly a lot of fun. And seeing how it spawned 2 sequels already, it’s definitely fun for the whole family.
The original is far better than the sequels imo
@@nationalcoasternews5798 Such is typical Hollywood, doesn't mean it's not worth watching. I remember enjoying it when I was young.
The only one I know of is Battle of the Smithsonian.
There's actually an animated movie as well

@@the_varunrvel Yeah, I don't count that one.

The actor you could not remember is the one who played Freddie Mercury in the film Bohemian Rhapsody
Elliot in Mr Robot and Safin in No Time To Die to name a few...
Rami Malek
I forgot which yr that came out, but I saw it in 2020. He still looked young in that, 14yrs later.
Josh in Until Dawn
And Kenny in the sitcom "War at home"
Dick Van Dyke (Cecil), Mickey Rooney (short one) and Bill Cobbs are great as the bad guys. It was a stacked cast at the museum.
I had a DVD of this movie since 2006! So I watched this over 100 times in my childhood. Such a special movie❤️
Same. This movie is a big part of my childhood. It was such nostalgia to see it again😍

Ben Stiller and Robin Williams really help this film come to life and is a real pleasure to watch.

This trilogy is one of the best ones ever. Comfort movies for eternity
I would argue that overall, the Night at the Museum movies defy the whole "law of diminishing returns" thing. I love all three.
Kristen is the only reason I watch this channel
That’s sad
This is such a comfort movie for many of us, watched it on DVD
