Hello , I have the dji mini, can u tell me why I cannot get over 120 feet in height, an no more than 150 feet for distance. My setting are set way higher than that , but will not go any higher or any farther foward.

Yes I just picked up my Mavic Mini on Jan. 2 and live it so far but I live in Canada and right now isn't the greatest for flying a drone being winter and all.

This is my first high-quality drone, my last one, which I got last Christmas, was the Contixo F22. This Mavic Mini blows the Contixo out of the water! It's is definitely not loud. It's so quiet I can fly in the house without waking my wife up. I have had the magic mini for a month now just did antenna mod with the Hawk 14 dbi panel antenna . I just ordered my second Mavic mini it's a awesome drone.
Wow! Your wife must be a heavy sleeper. I get that this isn’t the loudest drone out there, but it’s absolutely NOT quiet, especially if you’ve heard DJI’s low noise propellers on newer drones. I haven’t heard much about that mod myself yet since I just got this, but interesting!

@@carsonmtech - I still fly my P3S a few times a month and it's quite a chore getting everything together w/ 2 or 3 extra batteries. So when I saw that little case for the mini, it made me glad I never dropped $1200 for a Mavic. ,PS: I don't need no stinkin' prop guards.
Lol, I agree, the prop guards are very much a gimmick to myself as I only ended up flying with them for like 5 minutes and then realized I didn't want to fly with them anymore. Still cool DJI included them though in the FMC! Having a smaller drone to take around with you is definitely a fantastic means to keep yourself active in flying!

Well, I’ve only used the Freewell specific to the Mavic Mini. The Amazon link is more for those who want filters, but need cheaper and would like to give those a shot. I cannot say I’ve tried any filters from there on Amazon unless Freewell starts selling from there

Thanks a lot Dima! I appreciate your support :). The transitions that I use are from the creator here on RUclips, Ryan Nangle...give him a look up. I bought a mega pack that contained ALL of his transitions, generators, etc. for Final Cut Pro X last year when he had a black friday sale of something like 40% off. Hope this helps!
Good choice! I personally would like to update to the M2Pro, but still the Zoom has its place! My favorite drone to date that I've flown probably is the M2Pro, but that's just because its camera is astounding! For convenience and what I find myself using a ton recently, it has got to be the Mavic Mini. It's just so convenient to take with you anywhere you want, has amazing photo quality, and the video quality ain't half bad either. In saying that though, I'm typically one to shoot everything in 4K (I love 4K & above), but I know a lot of people typically shoot in 1080p, in which case the Mavic Mini has got to get my recommendation fully in that case!

Welllll, I recorded the audio with a wireless lav that was connected to my Panasonic G85 off to the left (you can see it in the video if you look close enough) and then I adjusted the EQ in Final Cut to cut out the noise of the Mini
North Mountain...one of my favorite hikes. If you had flown it several hundred or so feet to the west you could’ve captured the ruins of an old burned down restaurant called Cloud 9.

As a beginner you may choose to fly with prop guards which will put the drone past 245 grams. Question: Does mini have to get registered when flying with prop guards? Thanks for videos.

Carson Miller It wasn’t nasty or anything like that, a new smell, but not like a new car smell, I guess you could say a new electronic machine smell. It’s dissipated a lot since I opened the box.
I also had a p3 slandered got a sweat deal on a used spark with 5 battery’s plus the controller. However the magic mini seems good too. This video seems to be one of the best on your channel (editing wise) keep up the good work.

You’re good! I would not fly the Mavic Mini in anything less than -17C, even that is pushing it. NONE of DJI’s drones that I know of are capable of flying in conditions that cold, unfortunately. It really just comes down to batteries and how slow electrons move in the cold and then the motors are underpowered. Hope this helps! Edit: is it safe? Absolutely not in that environment. The drone likely would not even power on and stay on.
I hope so! They have fixed things notably in the past for the DJI Go apps for Android phones so I am hopping they will do it for the DJI Fly app as well!
When exporting the videos from the app to your phone are the exported videos same quality the video was shot in? (For example. Shoot in 2.7k and than exports to your phone in 2.7k from app to phone)
I also have one question for you I have heard the the drone itself feels cheap. Is this true? Does it not feel like a $500 drone? Did Djibouti cheap out? Like I know it’s all about the weight but does it completely compromise the build quality.

Dont talk down to the spark. The spark is a tank, has obstacle avoidance , a truly awesome drone. I will keep it over a bump in resolution. Has way way more features, and just a better drone all around. But Solen its smaller. Get a big boy back pack, I carry all my drones all in one bag!
I agree! They likely don’t want to make another Spark though so they probably would never considering it’s the Mavic series. Who knows, they may offer an “Alpine White” like they did with the Mavic Pro a couple years ago. However, I don’t see that making ease of seeing any better. It would be nice to have different color variants though!

If I use footage in the USA for my RUclips channel but I'm way new and not monetized. That's ok if faa register without a 107? I'm not selling any footage and it's not making me money on RUclips. I know the folks that have 500k followers that are getting income from RUclips are getting contacted by the FAA for a 107. Good question right?

The p3 s have worn its yeasrs pretty well it still looks like an up to date drone im 400 hours in on mine still flies as it did when it came out the box . I still fly mines to been having and flying it since i got it july 2017 many many flights and miles on mine to and still is flying like a champ and the p3 advance to. No PROBLEMS what so ever on either one of them
@@reggiebarron3849 I messaged dji to find out what the service life is other than damage battery wear prop damage from rollovers . They said essentially it dosnt have one if you crash then its broken and hence wont work. i was starting to fly mine like an oap incase it just burned an esc and dropped like a stone now i dont have to worry. Take a look at surrey via drone on fb 20 or so local pilots shoving footage and pics on one page so its busy

If I use footage in the USA for my RUclips channel but I'm way new and not monetized. That's ok if faa register without a 107? I'm not selling any footage and it's not making me money on RUclips. I know the folks that have 500k followers that are getting income from RUclips are getting contacted by the FAA for a 107. Good question right?

The p3 s have worn its yeasrs pretty well it still looks like an up to date drone im 400 hours in on mine still flies as it did when it came out the box . I looked at my total distance the other day 513 miles lololo old workhorse drone
I still fly mines to been having and flying it since i got it july 2017 many many flights and miles on mine to and still is flying like a champ and the p3 advance to. No PROBLEMS what so ever on either one of them
@@reggiebarron3849 I messaged dji to find out what the service life is other than damage battery wear prop damage from rollovers . They said essentially it dosnt have one if you crash then its broken and hence wont work. i was starting to fly mine like an oap incase it just burned an esc and dropped like a stone now i dont have to worry. Take a look at surrey via drone on fb 20 or so local pilots shoving footage and pics on one page so its busy
