IMPORTANT: Please be careful because every country has its own laws! In some countries you will be able to fly at night, over crowded places, etc., some other countries won't allow you to fly close to airports, or won't have your drone registered. Please check carefully the drone laws where you will be flying! When we were filming of course we couldn't talk about laws in specific countries

Omg, this drone is my gateway into the drone world. I have been wanting a drone since phantom 3 and never bought one due to the price and the spark just wasn't appealing enough for me. The mavic mini on the other hand is cheaper than the spark when it first came out and is a million times better. Definitely buying this thing (I hope) XD

the weight only gets you off the hook for registering it. You still have to apply all the other rules reference to Drones

In the part where you fly around the church It seems like the soundtrack contains actual sounds from the scene, how do you filter out the buzzing sounds of the propellers?
It's added by editing, you cannot record audio with drones.
Does it know how to return to you automatically, as in when the battery is starting to be too low, or is there a risk it will crash or land in water for example (over a lake)?
It's like it was on a p3. It will rise up to the RTH altitude you set up and then fly back...if there's a tree or something like that in between...bye drone :(

@@zoltangz Dji mavic kini is for those who cant afford the dji mavic 2 or for those who want a smaller drone. It flys just like the pahntom 3 standard. No sensors, no anything fancy tbh. It will say the aircraft will return to home In 10 seconds whe it reached 30% by default. It can be changed.
I don't see this as my next drone as I have a Mavic Pro. I can certainly see this as a first drone purchase however. Great vid and explanation- many thanks!

My big concern on this is how it handles in wind - any feedback on that yet?
At the second location it was windy, not superstrong but enough to make bad drone struggle. The mini had no problems at all, not stabilising the footage nor any transmission problems!
Another video showed it flying in 20mph winds without issue and stable as can be

wow! you're fast haha! I don't think they will add that as that would be too much of an AIR...
Adding active track will cause more crashes since it'll just follow and crash into anything and everything if the pilot is not constantly looking at the controller
Joharizan Khua not necessarily, if you are canoeing over the water then it can’t crash in active track

Question: noise levels?
1) Please give your opinion compared to Mavic Air and Mavic 2 Zoom noise levels and frequencies.
2) At 8:30 you are talking while Mini is hovering 3 feet away, and it sounds great. Did you edit the audio frequencies (or your voice) to artificially “quiet” the drone?
One big thing about here in the USA is that most Law Enforcement have little clue about the rules. A drone is a drone. So good luck flying one of these in say New York, near an airport, or over a prison or military establishment and thinking you won't get caught / fined.

In the US the only thing this is exempted from is the FAA registration. All no fly and restricted fly areas still apply and they should.
Always fly responsible and safe. Also fly high and they won't hear you or see you 😉 I would take my spark up so high no one would even know of its presence other then me. Then I would sit in my car with door open and fpv fly it. Spark could get nearly out of site at 300ft high or so.
You can fly this in new York.
FAA.. 250 Gm drones are under our rules
DJI ....249 Gm challange accepted
Not quite: FAA: No need to register if recreational but all other rules apply

Very good video! The only reason why I didn't ordered yet is because it looks that it don't have pano, 360, etc. mode like Spark. Did you think the final app will have it?
I know with the spark and others u can use the OTG cable for a IMO MUCH better connection between phone and RC. Is that an option with the mini ? & Have u tried it ?

Good Review, thank you. My bet is, there will be a “Mavic Mini Pro” that adds true 4K 60 FPS capability, and 20MP sensor (none of this adds any grams) and a few avoidance sensors (this will add a few grams, that DJI can optimize the plastic shell) FYI, we’ve owned and tested all of DJI’s drones under $3k, and sold everything a year ago. This Mavic Mini Pro may bring me back into drown-world.

Y luego cuando lo tenia a esa distancia me aparecio la pantalla por un momento sin señal y despues volvio se quedo en neegro sabes algo de eso gracias saludos

I have a Phantom 3 Standard which is great but it's SO big. For example 2 years ago I went to Japan and would have loved to bring it but I just didn't have the room. In fact I rarely use it because I often don't want to carry something that big around. Once the Mavics came out that solved the problem but they're just too expensive so this really solves all of my problems plus it seems like a better drone than the P3S. Flies further, longer battery. It is lacking in RAW support but I'm hoping they could add that with an update. Once I get this on the 11th I picture myself bringing it. everywhere!

Hi, do you have a CE sample? It is supposed to reach max 2km in 2,4Ghz and way less in 5,8Ghz. In real world max flight distance should be around 500 600 mt. What is your experience about it? Thanks

Do u have a feel or exact specs of the dba (sound level) of the mini compared to the spark & air ? I believe the Air has a dba of 70. Noise is one of the worst thing IMO of these drone.
