Thanks so much, glad you like how we approached the subject, tried to come up with as many favorite plants as possible for you guys to have a good idea on the basics.
Very nice and quick, good to hear all of their names in a short window of time. Kind of like running through a flash card after I've learned already. Thanks for the video!
I love how ‘category’ is pronounced as ‘cathegory’. On a serious note, Green Aqua helped me to finally decide on starting my own lowtech tank. As a beginner, I really find your videos beginner-friendly, informative, and entertaining. Love you guys!
Your videos are always found at the perfect time right when i need them. Thank you so so much for this video. I love the free spirit and the fact that the videos are not made to be perfect - well in a sense of natural, I suppose they are perfect. :)
Thanks Andrew, glad you think that. We tried our best, but I think we could only cover a small part of this topic, but yeah, it's good for a start... Hopefully.
Great video. I'm doing a lot of research as I'm determined to set up a planted tank and I can't say I've come across something this informative in a while. Really a great video on the different types of plants. I'm really looking forward to watch part 2 next!
Cheers, welcome to the channel, we've got quite a few tutorials (playlist) here where you can learn the basics, but you'll learn a lot and can get inspired from the numerous builds and maintenances here too...
Loved the video, usefull information about the plants, and seeing them in the aquarium with each other and knowing their names makes it easier to plan an aquascape and choose the best plants to do it. Thanks
Thé dropped light, ooh . But in your relaxed style, not a problem 😉 great video on sooo many plants, very informative tutorial. Great quality as always. Thank you ,and have a great weekend all the Green Aqua team.
Thank you. it was very intresting and very helpful! Loved every moment ,Special the when the lamp falls in the aquarium xd Nagyon jól sikerült videó, és nagyon hasznos a növény választásban! Köszi.
I just about got my hardscape ready for an Iwagumi and my first real setup with decent gear. Although Iwagumi I'm still going to plant heavy and this video has put my head into a spin, so much to choose from but a fantastic video explaining many different plants, thanks a lot! I do have experience with some it's just now the big decision on which ones I want to put in, plants that I have experience with and plants I don't.
This is amazing! It was great help as I am really getting into aquascaping and I work at my local fish store and I help people with fish and plants and now I will be even more helpful! thank alot I love your videos keep them coming!
Loved the video! Please do another one with more detailed informations or even tips on how to combine certain plants to acheave a certain look. Wood love to watch this, keep it comming!
Great videos. Watching this has me wanting to do a scape. I've also begun attempting to scape plants in a reef tank. Marine aquascaping is up and coming. Would love to see you guys try it! Though much of it is done with macroalgaes and see grasses.
That would be a natural phenomenon - like crypts adjusting to underwater life, or it could be a nutrient deficiency or even temperature problem. But I've seen valisneria melt because of Excel (carbon supplement) too. There you have it.
I've been too. And really surprised how chilled Balazs was in that moment. Would scare the ***t out of me (Viktor). These lights are awesome, but the legs are really bad. Too easy to drop it from the tank. 😃
Pfoo you scared me when you dropped the light into the tank. Great video! Now I have to check your website to study all +-400 of them! Greetings from The Netherlands.
I got scared too, but you know - it happened to me before - so I kept my calm. Kinda... 😇 Thanks for watching Jerry, actually there are many identical plants that come from many different suppliers and packaging forms, so the real number would be around 150-200? Taking in consideration that there are big groups of plants that I mentioned in the video, the actual number of latin names one has to remember is probably below 100. That's not so dangerous.
Good Lights cost quite a bit. Water proof lights: Priceless. It really pays off and decent LED lights are a LOT safer than any other light source. Using regular light bulbs can be lethal.
Thanks for your words, we have an older video comparison on the channel and we may will do another one later too. But next week we will be back with some aquascaping again. Also we take a little break for the summer. But Season 2 is coming! 😀
Green Aqua i always watch green aqua video specially when its about tutorial about planting and making some awesome hardscape. I wish i could have one of those scapes😍
Such beautiful plants. All the stores around my area have plants that are covered with algae and other pests. Made a mistake by adding a plant without quarantining it beforehand now I have freshwater limpet snails.
nice! Aquascaping uses quite different plants. I'll definetely try Bolbitis because I love ferns. Mostly because my fish don't eat ferns... I randomly tried Mayaca fluviatilis - this plant is silver! So cool.
Balazs this video is massively helpful mate, especially to people like me that are newer, us newbies can do all the research we like but after getting all our new plants home might end up putting bucephalandra roots in the substrate! I do like to use your website, I might even order from you in the future instead of from local stores!
thank you for all of the information plants and how you say them so when i'm shopping for more at my LFS ill be able to blame my horrible pronunciation on my Hungarian accent lol keep up the good work and keep inspiring me and others to keep scaping nature aquariums peace and love fish brother from Las Vegas Nevada USA

Very comprehensive plant overview and presentation! Great job
Thanks Andrew, glad you think that. We tried our best, but I think we could only cover a small part of this topic, but yeah, it's good for a start... Hopefully.

Yeah, been thinking of that, but postponed it, too many things to do in the freshwater side. But sounds really interesting.
love it... please talk about plant melting..
That would be a natural phenomenon - like crypts adjusting to underwater life, or it could be a nutrient deficiency or even temperature problem. But I've seen valisneria melt because of Excel (carbon supplement) too. There you have it.
Verry interesting. I love your tutorial.

Have a good day.
Good Lights cost quite a bit. Water proof lights: Priceless.
It really pays off and decent LED lights are a LOT safer than any other light source. Using regular light bulbs can be lethal.
Great video, I learned a lot! More closeups while you're talking about a plant would help since its all new to me, but otherwise very informative.
Well, that's what we could do with the current tech, but noted, we'll do more tutorials in the future with close-ups.
Great video, love from Hungary!
Thanks Viktória, much appreciated. 💚
Another great video ! Thanks for sharing your expérience again 😉
I didn’t see a video about different lightning. Will you do one next time ? Cheers
Thanks for your words, we have an older video comparison on the channel and we may will do another one later too. But next week we will be back with some aquascaping again. Also we take a little break for the summer. But Season 2 is coming! 😀

much needed video
Thanks, yeah, we've been preparing this for quite some time.
Thank you very much, so many plants...
Oh yeah, but if you think in terms of groups, species, popularity, then it starts to be easier...
Aqua hey you said you would make a video about video gear you are using. It would be delightful to us.btw u 're fantastic.
Such beautiful plants. All the stores around my area have plants that are covered with algae and other pests. Made a mistake by adding a plant without quarantining it beforehand now I have freshwater limpet snails.
I don't think an algae infested plant would do much harm to a tank if the tank is otherwise healthy. But it is safer to avoid, agreed.
Thanks
You're welcome. 👍🏻
nice!

I randomly tried Mayaca fluviatilis - this plant is silver! So cool.
Thanks for sharing your ideas with us, it's always useful to read these. Bolbitis is indeed nice, and Mayaca is also coo, I totally agree.

Thanks a lot, we will. Cheers Ingrid! 🙏👍
Amazing video, possibly a 2nd video?..what would be your plant selection for different types of hardscape and aquascaping styless 😋
Thanks for the idea. Actually, most our setup videos (and there are many) are just about that, what to select for the different types of hardscapes.
You guys should make a playlist.. 😁. Extremely informative. Lots to learn here.
Don't we have one? Maybe not separately for the plants. Cheers.
@@GreenAquaShop just realised that when watching the video. That little pop up things. 😁
Great video and I laughed so hard at your reaction to dropping the light in the tank! 😂 10/10 on the smooth recovery and Twinstar plug. 👏
Haha, calm is king, right? 😅😅💪
@@GreenAquaShop you didn't have to show us that, good on ya :)

hi what heating do you use for your fish please great work your doing love all of them
In general we're not using heaters in our aquariums. With water temp is around 22-24C. But if needed then build in filter ones or external one like Hydor is preferred.
