Dear Petersen Automotive Museum: The graphics, the editorial transitions and -- most important -- the camerawork (smooth and focused on the CARS) on display here in this video are such a refreshing change. And they all suggest that Lyon Air Museum probably produced this and then let you use it. But, regardless, THIS is the level of video production quality that I would expect to see consistently associated with your brand.
Nice display. Porsche industrial engines based on the Porsche 356SC motor were used to power generators connected to F104 fighter jets at NATO air bases in the 60s.
Quite a nice tour! I’ve never been to the museum but it’s a good friend’s extended living room! He hardly ever misses an event and provides me with huge amounts of photos and videos, so I appreciate you stepping in for him! Greetings from Austria!
Bravo! Great job Mark and Lyon team! Guys this is an awesome working museum where they take some of these amazing planes out! They also have a little theater showing relevant historic films when there’s not a global pandemic lol. Tucked away on the opposite side of John Wayne. Perfect 1/2 day trip for well-behaved kids! 🙂 OK - Porsches! My favorite 962 the stunning Jägermeister orange masterpiece, the classic 906, the rarely seen Indy car, Jeff Zwart (Pikes Peak champ) hen’s teeth (!), wow all must-see! Thanks to everyone involved - bring your mask and try to get down and visit Lyon Air Museum! 🏁
¡Por Dios !......nunca vi una colección de Porsche así ,realmente maravillosa y ademas con unos automoviles en un estado óptimo , felicitaciones a sus presentadores!!
It was very impressive when the Museum had a Porsche exhibition a few years back, loved it. A part of me is a fan of Posche, and this video makes that feeling larger~!! Thank you this is really educational, want to learn more about Porsche!!👏👏
I think I was first introduced to that 550 Spyder in Need for Speed on the PS1, didn’t initially dig its shape at that young age, but I guess it’s grown on me now.
Just wonderful! Thanks so much for this Mark, as well as everyone at the Lyon Air Museum, and the Petersen Automotive Museum! Looking online I see the Lyon has a weekend of Porsche event advertised .. 29-30 August .. is this still on? Also is the exhibition still due to finish early September, given the museum (I understand) is closed at present? It would be so nice for it to go on a little longer, though I imagine the owners must be looking forward to having their babies back home again! I'm thinking from all of these wonderful Petersen curated tours a pretty significant percentage of the world's automotive treasures must reside in California! Take care everybody .. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 ... 😃
Back in the mid seventies I had the opportunity to buy a 1963 Carrera for less than 2K. Also had a spare engine. I sold my 356A Cab a few years earlier and missed the poor thing. And there I was, drooling, and penniless. Fast forward to the late 80's and I find a 73 RS for 25K. This time I wasn't penniless but didn't have the cash to make it street legal. It wasn't up to racing either. Quite a bit of duck tape holding it together. LOL Thanks for the memories.

1200 views of some of the most influential and amazing Porsches ever. Sucks to be the millions of fans that missed this collection.

I really like your docent here. Very knowledgeable and/or with great notes.
Check the very start of the video. He's a bit more than a docent.

There were no 912s in '72, looks like a SWB so it's 65-68 range.
