Have used this product for years. Used regularly it helps increase life of your wax applications. I have had black vehicles for 50 yrs and this wash and wax has no competitors. Simply the best..period. When people compliment on how shiny your vehicle is(and you haven't waxed it for months) you know you're using a a great wash and wax.

I've been using this soap for a long time and my vehicles have never looked so good I'm not the kind of person that waxes his cars on a regular basis but I sure use the heck out of this kind of soap and believe me when I say that it has protected my vehicle's paint very well 👌

Once you start using many of the professional washes you realise how good this Meguiars Ultimate actually is. WIth is Polymer base it actually suds really really well. In only use it over a ceramic coatings but find it cleans really well. Sometimes when the soaps are too slick and oily they don't rise as well or allow the mitt to clean.

I used this early in the morning when it was cool outside and was really impressed with the results. Only two capfuls of the product per gallon of water produced plenty of suds and left a slick finish. I also found that it beads up on my car after rinsing. The water stays on longer so don’t look for this to air dry by itself after rinsing. Most people complain of streaks and that’s because they’re washing in direct sunlight. You have to use this in the shade. All products should be used in the shade which gives best results. I swear by Mr. Pink too but there’s no wax in it but the new Foam Party produces plenty of suds with wax too. Ultimate Wash n Wax is worth buying. Between Mr. Pink Foam Party and Ultimate Wash n Wax you can’t lose.
I don’t have a recommendation as I usually use two separate products.
First few times I used it I wasn't overly impressed. I went back to it as an in-between wash to my Normal products . Now I can't stop looking at how shiny my car is . I had a bit of light dust on I a few days after washing and we had rain , the dirt cust cleared off the car and left it shiny again

Hi Hain i agree with the review. This soap does a good job especially if you car is already protected and you keep up with the washing. On real dirty cars its meh. You also have to use more. However, i found this to be true with most Car Shampoos that have wax in them. My fav car soap was Zymol Auto Wash. However, for whatever reason it has doubled in price and is hard to find. The only caveat with the Zymol is you have to make sure you rinse well...Gold Class is always great, easy to find and affordable.

I didnt mind mothers Brazilian carnauba wax wash but its not really my thing, nano washes are the way to go now. Best unprotected ph neutral wash i found was Meguiar's Soft Wash Gel

Walmart runs deals on that size for 9.95 just so you aware they have a special inside deal with Meguiars. I believe this product is intended for owners who do not wax their car which is the reason the was is included in the soap. I’m sure it won’t hold up for 6-12 months of a hand wax, but this soap appears to protect clear coat finishes out of the factory too
I've been using meguiars on and off too besides sonax and nuke guys. The thing with meguiars is that you really need more than what it says on the label.

I use a lot more than the recommended 1 ounce per gallon... I would say a about a shot glass or half of one of soap per wash is Great!!!!! Lots of suds and thick when applied...... Have used on my vehicles for years and always SHINE after washing.

Luego de lavar y secar con este jabón, recomiendo pasar un paño, ya que como su nombre lo dice también tiene cera y no se notará el efecto de la cera si no le pasas un paño como cuando usas la cera tradicional. El resultado final es impecable.

They are two completely different products. It depends on whether or not you want the minor protection that Wash & Wax provides.

I personally never really had that problem. If I see some dead bugs on the car, I clean it off ASAP and not let it sit. The problem never becomes troublesome.

Hello!
Is this okay as a regular car shampoo or should I get a normal one without the wax? Like I wash my car every 2-3 weeks cuz it’s white and I don’t want the wax to do something bad to the paint as I will be using this shampoos often?
I doubt the microscopic levels of wax here will last weeks let alone do anything to paint.
What do you think about the turtle wax carnauba tropical wash & wax shampoo?
I've never tried it so have no opinions.

You can definitely do that but I personally think that that would be a waste of time. What would be the desired benefit, to get a layer of wax protection? If so, I’d just wax the car the traditional way or use some other protectant. That way you get longer lasting protection and don’t have to waste as much time washing.

Should I use a sealant/ceramic coating/polish/something after or just leave it alone?
I'm lazy and don't want to wash my car regularly, maybe twice a year at the jet-wash but I have some time now, coz of covid lockdown.
If you plan to only wash your car twice a year then you should definitely coat the car with something else. With so little maintenance, a ceramic coating will likely provide the best result.

If I use this soap can I also apply my ceramic spray after or is that too much/a waste? I use technicians choice detail spray.
The detail spray is infused with ceramic? If so, then yes, it was designed to be used after a soap. Wether or not it is worth it or a waste, would be for you to determine.

Both products are going to have so little protective coating additive that you're likely going to get better results if you use them together.

In theory yes but general rule is to use your strongest coating as the base layer.

You should ask the manufacturer of your ceramic coating that. Some coatings strictly prohibits the use of carnauba as it diminishes the coating.

Did you notice any additional hydrophobicity on top of your current paint protection after using this soap?
That's really hard to judge with the car featured in this video because it was previously coated and already repelled water like crazy. However, I've tried Ultimate Wash & Wax on another car with no coating and I would say that it did look a bit better in terms of hydrophobic properties. This product definitely helps, but it's no miracle worker. It's not going to make crazy water beads or sheet water super fast.

I just picked up another additive infused soap to try and will make a video on that soon but I'll keep that recommendation in mind for the future!
Ive been really disappointed with this product as a wash and wax. Expected some beading after using it which didnt happen. It's fine to just wash your car though. 🙄
@@davidwaite2157 Finally someone who doesn't put a beauty blanket over this soap! It says hydrophobic on the label and i used it and nothing really happened. The water does the same as if i used my normal shampoo with no waxes or other mixing agents. I scavenged for someone who got the same disappointing results as i did but everyone seemed to say good things about it. To be honest i will try it a few times before giving up on it but as a 1st impression? Not what i want! Cheers!

used this the last 5 washes and i cant say im impressed at all. In fact its actually annoying how quickly it dries if trying to wash in sun it immediately turns into a streaky mess and i cant use my absorber to dry because it turns it into a mess. Going back to gold class.

That’s probably where most people would use it, instead of a traditional coating. I wouldn’t recommend that but it can be done.

Only drawback for me with this soap is, the smell. It attracts insects for days after the wash. If you come out after work you can see many bugs just hanging out enjoying the sent lol.

@@HaiTran yes, I'm afraid that the wax in the shampoo will make discs slippery..
I doubt there's enough wax in a soap to actually do anything but it's your life that's on the line. When in doubt, don't use it.

That will really depend on your paint. It's one of those you never really know until it happens type of situation.
Seems to be a paucity of value priced quality products. I have noticed that you have been unimpressed for the most part with the car detailing products you have reviewed based on price and performance. Maybe their marketing strategy is to get us to buy the product once and profit handsomely on that sale before realizing there is really nothing special here. Then release a few more products in the coming months with the same strategy.
I think a lot of it has to do with who the product is advertised towards. People who buy the lowered value product are likely going to be those that are less experienced with the auto detailing industry, people who want to try something cheaper prior to committing. These type of people are going to be more easily excitable. In contrast, someone like me who tests so many products, I have a much larger frame of reference and can judge products accordingly. But it really just depends on what someone is looking for.
