I used to also think that there was no additives but there is. The conditioners help with “water sheeting” to ease the process when drying and this can explain why the foam runs off very rapidly like you stated. Meguiars made a video in their UK channel a few days ago and stated this.

Great stuff - been using it mixed with water in a bucket for a long time. However, I ended up with a bad chemical burn on my hands from it last week. I believe it's because the jug I grabbed had a cracked cap and had been sitting in my storage cabinet for about 2 years. I'm guessing the water inside probably evaporated out, leaving only the "hardcore" chemicals inside. Just something to be aware of.
Interesting. I know I have a opened bottle that’s well over a year old that I’m still using.
Foams up okay considering its one of there cheaper soaps but still a goodie, and im pretty sure there's some protection in there as it says it conditions the paint so im guessing it might have a wax or polymer sealant in it but who knows. Soft Wash Gel is much better for ph neutral no additives soap

Gold class car wash or ultimate wash and wax??
If we not use any wax
If you mean that you don't plan to protect your car with another form of protection, then Ultimate Wash and Wax would be the better option.
Does this work with washing the car after applying gold class carnauba paste wax? Or will it wash it off? Thanks for your video.
pH neutral soaps are not supposed to strip protecting coatings.

New to this I have Xpel front ppf with ceramic coating over it and rest of the paint. Will McGuires work for both?
You may want to ask the ceramic coating manufacturer. Some coatings say that you cannot use products with a certain ingredient as that degrade the coating.

Maybe it's not sticking correctly due to wax? Works great on my beater pickup lol
If that's a thing then there's a major problem considering that it's standard knowledge to have some sort of coating. If a soap has problems with wax, the weakest form of paint protection coating, then it's basically useless unless it's advertise for those who don't protect their finish at all.
