- I was recently asked if I still use any products from my first year on RUclips, and the answer is YES. I actually use several. Today I'm going over those products, along with a few others that I recently stopped using or had to replace but still use the replacements.

FYI these are the most useful/ valuable kind of content you produce. The intisl reviews are entertaining but seeing what STILL works matters 10000x more to me
Initial 😉
it's something many reviewers fail to do which is updates on products. if there's something I expect to use for years, it helps knowing they hold up for long, not just for a quick 10 min video
@@kamo7293 I agree with this which is why I have 6 months, 1 year and even some 2 year updates on products out there.
They really dropped the ball by not advertising the self-healing properties of that atomic headlamp.
Should've renamed it to Bionic Headlamp
The Bell & Howell Light Bar power cord seems to be a standard 2 prong non-polarized power cord. They are generic and quite cheap to buy.
The specific kind to search for is IEC C7
Was thinking the same thing!
This is what I came to say. Simple, easy replacement.
you probably have one of those power cords in your "bone yard".
EDIT: Oops, I meant PANASONIC power cord. I guess the razor brand got in my head. ORIG: I always knew them as a Philips cord.
This is even more useful than the one year later reviews, which I love watching!
Diarhea cha cha cha.
@@gratefuldead4605 🤣
Not surprising to hear that you keep a spreadsheet to keep track of everything. You seem very organized when it comes to your reviews. Thanks for the updates.
5:32 That's a standard cable. You should be able to get one anywhere. It's very similar to a figure 8 cord, so searching for that might bring it up. I forget the name of the cord, but it is standard and a figure 8 cord will most likely fit it.
So happy pup is still around after year #1 James :)
I love how someone only asked for 6 but you went above and beyond and recommended even more great products! You’re a gem, James! And we’re glad Bailey is still around ❤❤❤
I have the pasta pot and I love it. I can also brown ground beef in it and drain the grease of through the holes on the side. Love your videos, keep them coming.
What I really love about this channel is the variety. From shavers to pasta pots, it's all equal!
I found your channel looking for reviews on the Philips One Blade, you were so professional I had no idea it was your first year on youtube until now. Congratulations on your success!
Your Light Abarth charging cable looks like a common end I see on gaming stations and computers. You could probably pick another charging cable up at Radio Shack.
I really liked the products you stopped using part of the video, that is some genuine great insight. Show the duality of the keepers and the notkeepers
I saw your oneblade review and had to get one myself. It literally changed my shaving routine ever since! I love it!
Gonna have to look into that one
@@Fatman305 i also have a OneBlade and i highly recommend getting one , you'll never use anything else afterwards. I have both the normal OneBlade but i have the OneBlade Face + Body.
Love mine as well!
It does do a pretty good job, but I wish it could get closer. I shave my head, but with a headblade. One blade is great for detailing and neckline type stuff though.
@@TheSnatchbuckler Very true. That's why I go one pass with it and then use a regular razer if I want to be super smooth. It helps extend the life of the regular razer since my hair is so thick! (I'm a man)
Wow! I had seen the reviews of most of these items when they were newly posted. I can't believe I've been watching this channel for six years now.
Reviews like this are helpful. Thanks for doing these. Your videos are good, but Bailey always steals the show!
I've gotten the one blade cause of your video, and still use it. And also the presto pizzazz plus, but I rewired a power switch to it.
I watched you on your first year when i was young in my grandparents basement crazy to see how much you have improved
I think the OneBlade is how I found your channel and I also still use it. Thanks for the great and helpful content!
I can't believe I've been watching you for so long(the beginning) I get bored real easy with most RUclips content creators, but you've kept me intrigued all these years! Here's to another 9 years 🍻
Well, I've just learned I've watched you from the very beginning! I remember all of those reviews. I had no idea. Keep up the great work!
OMG I forgot how much I have bought stuff via your reviews. Hot hands and one blade are still used today. Sadly the ratchet belt failed after a couple of weeks but I am really grateful for what you have and still continue to do. Such a great help, thank you Sir
This video made me nostalgic for the first time I ever watched this channel the cop cam, the Thanos mode was hilarious and the editing with the ice cream truck.
The power cable for the light bar looks like a C8 connector. You can buy them for really cheap
I use my Phillips One Blade all the time. I am not sure I would have ever decided to buy one if it wasn't for your review. My charging cable broke and had to be replaced, but at least I was able to get a new charging cable from amazon without having to buy a new one.
I've had my Oneblade for over 5 years and I love it! Anyone who wants to maintain a shorter beard style needs this in their arsenal. It's truly an all in one package for getting that even shadowy look, combined with a clean sharp outline along the neck. The blades take months to feel dull, and can stretch pretty far depending on how much resistance you decide to put up with. I even recently discovered a nose hair trimmer attachment made by a third party that makes this thing even more handy.
I bought a Phillips One Blade 2 or 3 years ago. The closeness of a razor with the ease of a shaver. It's a great product!
Love this! Your Philips OneBlade is the first review of yours I ever saw and how I found your channel when I was looking for info on various razors for my son! I got him one too based on your review but then his dad commandeered it LOL. Kinda feels like coming full circle. :D
You love your van. So keep patching and enjoying as long as you can. Look at all you learned so far and were even able to help your gal pal w that new skill set.😊
Another great video James thanks for the updates. Any life style vlogs coming up
What a throwback, I’ve watched pretty much every single video, and I loved every second of it😊
We love our Gotham steel pasta pot! I just wish it knew when I forgot to latch the lid before I dump the pasta in the sink..
Love your videos 🩵. I started watching u last month your videos so calming
I love my folding Thin Optics that I keep on my keychain. Now I never lose my reading glasses at the restaurant!
One blade video is what got me into this channel.
Strange thing happened with my one blade, it wouldn't run out of charge for the first 8 months i had it, but after that it started needing charge every 2 shaves.
I had the same issue of it not really holding a charge and found that charging it overnight solved the issue for me. It just needs a really long charging time, apparently.
love these evals. I've bought a similar headlight and forgot about it...until we had an extended power failure and I wanted to read. You guessed it, amazingly useful.
Please make this a new series. "5 year review" what is still used and what is still around.
Philips One Blade still working great for me! Thanks for that recommendation!
Sir, I bought the One Blade based on your comparison to another one similar to it a few years back. Absolutely love to see you still use it!!!
I’m glad to your pasta pot. I was given one for Christmas a couple of years ago and I love it too.
Go Bailey Go. Who's a good dog?!? YOU ARE, yes you are!
I bought a one blade after seeing your review back then and it’s still used daily. Love your content!
THANK YOU for making this video, I've been wondering!
I can’t believe I’ve been following your channel since 2016! How much has changed since then!
Omg I was probably the person who asked you which items you still use! Thanks! ❤
I have a Guiness Branded Atomic Lantern Ive had for years. Love it and the storage
Saw your review of the Philips one blade and brought one shortly after and still use it to this day 😊
My comfort click is still great after 4 years.. I recently bought a knock off.. all is good. It too was a as seen on tv one
I bought the one blade after watching your review and am still rocking it to this day
That light bar power cord can be found on lots of objects, ps4, ps5, USB charging stations. It’s a C8 connection
Bailey chasing the car around made my week
I like this video, showing the stuff that has extended usefulness.
The light bar plug is a C8 type plug and is a universal cable type that you can find about anywhere online
148 products starting is a hecking good amount. You proved it to the cpmmunity that you really meeant going for the online reviews in a very competetive market, and it shows that you took it seriously since you have been putting out quiality content since. I hope you grow more, and also (I bought the same round sunglesses as you have cuz youy look BOSS in them.)
I love the Gotham steel pasta pot! I use it for deep frying as well. And we have the first item, the lantern. We have 2 we use for camping. They are great!
I still use a lot of products I have reviewed, I have similar lanterns and headlamps, I only ever tried one atomic light but gearlight makes identical nice lights, I use my gearlights for a couple of years. The cord for your light bar is a generic one, easily can pick that up off amazon. you probably even have another device that uses the same cord, maybe a sound bar, a tv, etc.
I saw James on a different RUclips channel giving an interview with a guy I know. I appreciate how honest and patient he was. I really hope he has thought about that conversation positively. After a really long life, I'd love to meet up with him later on and give him a high five.
6:25 ... Their durability varies a lot like they have no QC department, I had one for work for about a year and a half and it broke, got a replacement and it broke within a week, figured eh maybe just one slipped past QC got a third for work and it lasted about 6 weeks and broke again and then after two very bad showings work switched what brand we use because the QC wasn't up to good enough standards.
The issue I have with the One Blade is that hair gets absolutely everywhere on my counter.
I got the Atomic Beam lantern for my husband when you first reviewed yours! And he still uses his too!
Hey man, i would need to take a closer look to be certain, but it seems like the charge chord for that light bar is a pretty standard 2 prong edison cable that probably is compatible with several other products, and may have gotten borrowed by another item and never returned. You can probably replace it pretty easily. I'm a stagehand electrician, and I have seen those types of charge connectors quite a few times on small electronics.
Would love a review on the Pitbull skull shaver
We need another type of video like this
We had to reorder the pasta pot because we broke the first one & we still use the pasta pot & love to use it
Phillips One Blade is no joke! Bought one back in 2018, and used it intermittently. I have stopped shaving for over a year now and just use the One Blade trimmer. I still have the original blade too!
Wow, I didn't realize I've been watching since your very first video!
I love the Philips OneBlade! It’s been in use for me almost as long as you’ve had yours.
I remember seeing the gotham steel pot on ads years ago and wanted one badly, forgot about it until now!! online hunting I go, unless you have an affiliated link since you reminded me and should get the re-finders fee
Bought the One Blade because of you and a few years later, I'm still using it on a weekly basis. Might have to give a closer look to the other items on this list.
It’s been six years!?? Time flies!
Great love your reviews
The philips oneblade is an awesome product. I have really sensitive skin, didnt matter what kind of razor I bought I got rashes. With the oneblade altough I dont have a very smooth skin, but the rashes also went away. I have it since 2018 and still working really well with awesome battery life.
I love to see honest reviews. I do a pretty fucked up level torture test on most shit I but just so I can leave a solid review. I think the one thing that went through the craziest endurance had to be this acrylic dome Bluetooth speaker from Blackwell. I bought it at Walmart figuring it would be a through away speaker. That thing had hit the ground at 30 plus miles an hour off my bike multiple multiple times and worked like nothing ever happened. I'd buy a hundred if I could find it again.
This is the most valuable content you make fr
My grandson loves loves loves his magic tracks. We've actually bought him a couple of sets that he connects together for a really long track. The only fault that I can see is that the little cars go through batteries fast but to me it's a small price to pay for him to have so much joy from a simple little toy.
Great video, I bought the Philips One Blade that year and is still my go to for shaving today. Saved 100’s using it
For the light bar you just need a standard figure 8 cable
I also love my Phillips one blade, I just put in an order for a set of blades for it from Temu, ...way cheaper, we will see if they match up. Maybe this is something that can be added to a comparison video sometime.
Awe your moms still alive thats great my parents adopted me when my dad was 46 hes already passed away and my moms probably close to as old as yours. I won't get to see her when im 40 so I appreciate every day I have with her now.
Hopefully she'll pass 90 years old.
maybe a 5 year later along with the 1 year later review becoming part of the regular rotation would be something to consider adding? i really found this to be awesome!
I have some SnapPower light covers still installed, if they fit, I highly recommend them.
You can find the cable fore the light bar at many thrift stores for around a buck or two
A standard 4 quart pot with a handle that stays cool will be able to do the same thing as the pasta pot just fine, you just use the lid to hold back the pasta. Learned that one from Adam Ragusea. No need to buy a designated pasta pot, you don't need nearly as much water as the old recipes claim you do. Less water actually means more concentrated starch, which is significantly better if you reserve the water for your sauce. Plus, I hate pots with just those stubby little nubs.
You influenced me to buy the gotham pot. Been holding up for 4 years now. Just don't like the handle as I have to tighten the screw occasionally and they do get hot.
Your Bell and Howell light appears to use an AC cord called "IEC320 C7" It's very common and very inexpensive.
I realized that I have been watching your videos since 2017. Pretty cool
I always enjoy all your videos. I have a question your beard looks so good what do you use to keep the gray hair away. The stuff my dad uses it doesn't color the gray-haired good enough. Please help us!
Thank you again for all your videos you saved me so much money not buying junk😊
What did he say? Back to the FLASH light drawer. Ohhhu... 😂
The Phillips One Blade is pretty amazing. I started using it a few months ago, and I will never go back to a regular bladed razor. You don't need any cream or lotion. Just wet your face. You can even use it dry. The blades are about $15 a piece, but they last months. It's great for shaping, and edging.
Yeah same reason I like it, I just pop out from shower and use it, and I never cut it myself with it!
You used to be able to look at someone's YT channel and sort by oldest. Now they've removed that feature and so to look at your old videos requires repeatedly reloading your channel over and over and over to get to the oldest videos (because it only loads like 5 rows at a time).
Interesting! The sort by newest/oldest feature is visible on my phone app. Maybe it's an update glitch?
@@lolalee2301 I use the desktop. They replaced it with "for you, most popular and newest"
The Magic Tracks is similar to my Christmas train. It is red, green and silver and cost $39 including 2 matching coaches and a circle of plastic track. Battery operated and has a light in the front. Everyone likes to watch it going round and round the Christmas tree. It normally plays Jingle Bells except this is too annoying so we cut the wires to the speaker :-)
The Oneblade is what allowed me to get over my fear of shaving! it is my prefered razor!
Got the oneblade for christmas and i hope mine lasts as long as yours
I have the same issue with my light bar. I cannot find the charger but I really liked it. I wonder if I can just but the charger ?
Arcade belts are the best. I’ve had that I’ve worn exclusively since 2017
Speaking for myself here, please keep up the 8-20 min content, its Great! And please release a 6 hour all gadgets super cut!
Tac-lite - 'as long as you don't try doing what they claim you can do, it's alright'
I got a philips oneblade pro last year and its completely changed shaving for me, it takes like 5 minutes and does a perfect job every time, and i'm still on the same blade that came with it although i have 3 spares.
They sell those charging cables at Walmart for about $5, if it is slightly shaped different you can take a small piece of rubber off and it wont be enough for anything to be exposed.
I've been using the Philips One Blade for over a year, it replaced my old electric razer that didn't hold a charge anymore. I still use the One Blade, but it doesn't get as close as a shave as my old electric razer and I feel there are better products out there for about the same price
