I miss the old Texas stadium AT&T stadium doesn’t provide the same home field advantage for the cowboys like Texas stadium did. The playoff win percentage was higher in Texas stadium than in the current one.
I give Jimmy Johnson credit for making sure his team didn't lose focus after losing this heartbreaker on Leon Lett's bonehead play at the end of the game. Plus Jimmy Johnson reassured Leon Lett that he was his still his guy. On the other hand, this was the last game Miami won as they would lose 5 straight to fall out of the playoffs.
Yep this was the best overall team Marino played with and just had to tear his Achilles. I believe had he not went down this team would have went far in the playoffs or maybe even to the bowl.
I remember this Thanksgiving game very well. I was ten years old, living in Midlothian, Texas, and a major winter storm had struck the area. We were supposed to have a big dinner with my family, but because of the roads being icy, my uncle Jim was the only one who was able to make it. And watching this game was priceless. Having been to Texas Stadium before, I never thought I'd see the day that the entire field would be covered in ice. I felt bad for Leon Lett, praying that Jimmy Johnson wouldn't cut him after the game like he did Curvin Richards a year before.
I was watching this at a friend's house who was a Cowboys fan (I am a Dolphins fan). When the FG was blocked, my friend went from the thrill of victory to going absolutely bonkers. He grabbed a chair and threw it into the wall. Me and my date were like 😳 and quick timed it out of the house.🤣
When 🏈 was still awesome, I'm old-school prefer football outside and on grass, at least this game was still outside where weather was a factor. Got this game premiering on my channel tonight Tecmo Snes style 🎉
met my then future x-wife in 92 only to find myself watching this game w my then future x-cowboy-fan-A.H.bro-in-law. one of my top 10 highlights of that relationship was the Leon Lett debacle 😂
Omg the good ol days when football was real football not like todays bull 💩! I remeber watching this game with my dad.. we lived not to far from the stadium.
I was at this game. O. J. Simpson was on the sideline, Nicole and the kids are there. They throw snow/ice balls at him as he broadcast. OJ has gloves on? Bruno's? This is months before... I am watching broadcast again hoping Oj's sideline commentary on camera is not cut, er um.. deleted!
I still miss the old Texas stadium. That place was a trip! I can’t dig ATT stadium, even with the extremely large scoreboard. Maybe if the Dallas Cowboys can figure out how to win another Super Bowl , I might get use to it, but not until then...
Yea Jerry Jones wanted to be too elaborate football is a rugged game outdoors preferably on grass but at least outdoors. For me football in a dome stadium is like a box of Twinkies the box is pretty colorful prestine and polished ,looks good but too much of it makes you sick 🤢
The 93 Dolphins had a pretty decent season considering they lost their Franchise QB for 11 weeks of it. They were 9-2 after this game, but stubbed their toe in the month of December.
I remember this game like it was yesterday. I was watching with my 1 month old son in my lap. When Leon touched the ball and miami recovered I jumped up and my wife's uncle said boy don't you drop that baby. Lol. Found this game today because my dolphins got humiliated last night and I needed something to cheer me up.
O.j. interviewing stoyanavitch after the kick ..."hey pete , how's it feel"? .."but make it quick , i have a wife i have to kill " ....🔪🔪🔪....But a true legend on the field ...a real slasher & dasher kind of back .
I was a cowboys fan and I skipped school in the afternoon to watch this game. I was dumbfounded and numb at the end. I was like: what just happened!? Great times!
Jimmy Johnson would replace Don Shula in Miami. He retired after the 1999 season and with a record of 89-68. Jimmy made it in the HOF with 258 less wins than Shula.
Nice to see REAL football when it was a battle; the weather had HUGE influence. They had to be TOUGH. EA games needs a classic madden football game focusing on simulation physics and environment.
fun plays: 18:45 Keith Byars 77 yard TD run 25:45 Bryan Cox intercepts Aikman 56:15 Aikman Kevin Williams 4 yard TD 1:11:55 Kevin Williams 64 yard punt return TD 1:39:40 Louis Oliver knocked himself out on that hit. Miami got hosed at 31:40, Kirbys knee is pretty clearly down and they called it a fumble. 2:28:52 this video has like 3-5 minutes of real time footage edited out of the ref explaining why it was Miami ball on about the 7 and then their FG good kick from there. you missed the camera shot of the dazed, bewildered Jimmy Johnson and the players chicken scratching in the ice to clear a spot to fg kick from as the ball was moved from the 7 to the 1 the back to the 7 again. 2:29:37 OJ Simpson going Aww Fooock into the camera after failing to get a post game interview with Pete Stoyanovich.
2:29:37 OJ YELLS “AH FUCK” into the camera after failing to get an interview with Stoyanovich. Happy Thanksgiving Everyone “AH FUCK”. 2:29:05 is where he tries to get an interview but his cameraman wasn’t prepared.
7:52 u can hear a FBomb being dropped too! Damn mouths need washed out with soap here! Lol..Everyone miserable bc of the weather but I LOVE it! I Love bad storms
OMG. I watched the whole game to watch the fumble recovery in the end zone that will win the game for the Phins. It wasn't shown! It shows the blocked kick and then goes to the dolphins celebration. What gives?
That was Miami's last win. The Cowboys would go onto to win the rest of their games and the Super Bowl. Leon Lett would redeem himself with a strip fumble on Thurman Thomas which allowed the Cowboys to pick the fumble and tie the game at 13-13. The Dolphins on the other hand lost their last 5 game going from 9-2 to 9-7 and missing out on the playoffs.
I loved being able to watch the memories of this game (most of them) The only reason I disliked the video was because you cut out the ending. Yes, I was rooting for the cowboys but cutting the ending because they lost is like deleting history.
Why is the very end of this game cut? the most important play isn't on this video...just the replay after. Took all the drama out of sitting for 2 and a half hours.
Only time in Cowboys history that Dallas played in the snow in Dallas. And it would be against a warm weather team in Miami. I miss this (the winning that is)
During Halftime; OJ Simpsons son was throwing Snowballs at him. Who knew what would happen 7 months later? I’m sure Nicole Brown preferred getting hit by her son’s snowball than her husband’s fist 🤛.

Leon Lett proved in this game that the dumb only get dumber! No wonder why the Cowboys have always sucked! Thank God for MY MIAMI DOLPHINS!!!! Lett never learned from his Super Bowl mistake the previous year.
Watching this because of the winter storm in Texas. And its the only home snow game I can remember for my Cowboys. Certainly the most memorable.
I miss the old Texas stadium AT&T stadium doesn’t provide the same home field advantage for the cowboys like Texas stadium did.
The playoff win percentage was higher in Texas stadium than in the current one.
As JJ woukd say, the Ca-boys.
Wonder why he didn’t have them close the roof?
This game forever will be legendary I was 1 years old when this game was played and my dad loves the Cowboys he was young lol
5 years later, a 45 year-old Steve Deberg would be the 3rd string QB for the Falcons.

@@danlford Injuries decimated the 93' Dolphins. They lost Offerdaul in this game. Can't lose your best player on offense and defense and go far.

at the end of the game he fails to get an interview with Pete Stoyanvich and yells awwfuuuck into the camera probably damaged him more :|

The 93 Dolphins had a pretty decent season considering they lost their Franchise QB for 11 weeks of it. They were 9-2 after this game, but stubbed their toe in the month of December.

This game is always described as the "snow" game but it was actually ice. It was accumulated sleet and was so much more slippery than snow.
The recruiting by Dallas , like the Boston Celtics. Legendary.
