Yep, if that idiot owner Jerry Jones wouldn't have chased off Jimmy Johnson, I seriously believe that Cowboys team would have won 4 Super Bowls in a row instead of the 3 in 4 years that they did win.
This was a special season. The first half was amazing. The second half was a diffrent story. I was watching with my roomate who is a Giant fan. I knew this team was good after these first two games, but damn did they show how great they really were. I have been a fan since the early 80's. So I saw some good ( not great teams ). This team was a pleasure to watch. The whole dynasty was a pleasure. It was a total shame what transpired between Jerry and Jimmy. They were good enough to win 4 championships in a row. They were. Ugh. So frustrating. Fast forward close to 30 years Jerry and his son hasnt won since. I miss the early 90's
Back in 1992 I was 11, this was the first cowboys game I've ever watched, I become a big fan that day of the cowboys. I actually recorded this game on a vhs tape and watched it all the time. I'm 43 and still a big dallas cowboys fan.
I want to make an observation about Bill Bates, one of the players who doesn't get the credit he deserves 👍.Thank you Bill for being a monster on the field. Newark NJ, Cowboys Nation.
Bill Bates and Jason Witten were both standouts for my Tennessee Vols. To be fair, there is a clip of Herschel Walker laying Bates flat on his back straight on. Then again H.W. did that to a lot of defensive players in 1980.
@@starshiptrooper7670 your absolutely right when HW came to play for the NJ Generals i called him the brother like no other and I had a brother-in-law who played with him for the Generals and I met him then he joined my Cowboys and if not for the trade we wouldn't have won the 3 superbowls which should have been a 4 peat thank you Jerry

a cowboys fan since 72 i love seeing how great my boys were back in the day , hoping that one day the Cowboys will return to championship form, and dominate just about everyone
After taking down the last two Super Bowl champions (Washington to start to start the season) & the Giants back-to-back that's when I knew these '92 Cowboys were for real.
Everything just went wrong for the Giants that season. LT would go down late in season go down due to the injury. Both Phil and Jeff as QB's would get hurt and by season's end the old guard on defense would be gone like Carl Banks, and Leonard Marshall. For the Cowboys it was just another notch to an eventual Super Bowl season. It was big that this was the first win in the Meadowlands since 1987.
Never forgot this game. We seemed to be a team of destiny (and it turned out we were) but the Giants put one heck of a scare in us by scoring 28 unanswered points after we put up the first 34’
Was living in Shreveport Louisiana during this game wasn't shown in my area probably showed saints game in those days didn't show every cowboys game like these days Noone knew how good cowboys would be in 92 just remembered seeing score and heard cowboys held on after up 34 to 0
The sarcastic cheers from the Giant fans were hilarious, moreso after they finally punted with out getting blocked the 3rd time🤣🤣..but I do remember them cutting away from the game after Dallas was up 34 - 0 and I was feeling pretty good, then watching another game they kept showing the highlights of the Giants coming back and when it was 34 - 28 I was thinking oh no😵💫...but luckily the held on..👌🏽
After every touchdown, the Cowboys gather and congratulate the guy that scored, as in TEAM. Now days, the guy that scored has to do his touchdown dance, as in ME.
Side judges are SUPPOSED to be watching for offsides on defense, false starts or illegal motion on offense. That last 3rd and 7 conversion for Dallas should have been nullified. Michael Irvin CLEARLY should have been flagged for either a false start or illegal motion, but the officials decided to ignore it!
1:14:03 -- This game was becoming so lopsided, CBS decided to switch the majority of its national doubleheader audience to the Atlanta-Washington game, leaving only the DFW and NY/NJ markets with the remainder of Cowboys-Giants.
The Giants weren't a good team in 92 6 10 record. But they started their season playing literally the 2 best teams in the league Niners Cowboys. 90 percent of the league would've started the year 0 2 with that schedule even with both games at home.
Have to disagree with you there. 99 percent of teams would've started 0-2 with that schedule, even at home. They were the two best teams in the league for the better part of five years until Green Bay finally crashed the party in '96.

Oh hello JK. This is GREAT! My first time seeing this game. It doesn't look like a lot of "double team" what I see is a NY coaching adjustment using an ineffective washed up taylor to only hint at a pass rush. He couldn't cope with that freakish Dallas O-line.
Here in 2024 I am watching the Cowboys hit their stride in the early 90s. This is the second game of the season and Aikman has been very inconsistent. Amazingly the defense got a stop, the offensive line stopped holding yet provide some blocking and the receivers stopped dropping catchable passes. If Aikman had been more consistent the Giants wouldn't have been able to make this a close game. It consistently amazes me how long it took the owners to force the league to rely on instant replay. In this game and the prior Cowboys game the officials were wrong on several key plays. The video quality was incredibly poor at the beginning of the game but improved as the game went on. I suppose that could be because the original VHS tape had already been recorded on many times? But hands down the absolute worst thing about this game is John Madden. Sure he managed to win one Super Bowl but compared to modern announcers like Tony Romo Madden is full of hot air and just like the officials is dead wrong about several plays in every game.
Actually Irvin just scored it's 34-0 this is boring at this point. At this point me Dallas 1st & 2nd stringers & coaching staff is gonna head back home to get ready to beat down the Cards. There will be imposters in the Cowboys starters jerseys Emmit & Company are on plane back to Dallas.
Idk about that, especially Denver. I think the cowboys was smoked them honestly. The rest of those teams, including dallas are all time, great teams imo. I won't disrespect any of them although I hate the cowboys.
Diehard Cowboys fan watching this and nostalgically wishing our current team had even half the effort and heart of these 90s teams.
