- Did I really mess up buying silver rounds? Buying or investing in 1-ounce silver rounds! We can buy pretty much any type of silver that we want as long as we have the funds to pay for it. I’m saying we have choices. And in my years of stacking, I have bought a lot of rounds. I want to tell you what I learned and what I feel is the best part of buying one ounce silver rounds over everything else and I want to tell you what I think are red flags to look at when you buy round and some of this is even for buying coins.

When SHTF, an ounce will be an ounce......In Venezuela right now they don't give a sh1t what it is. It's Gold, Silver, they check it, weigh it and you leave with your items!
Same will happen here. Stack for weight!! Cheers
Good points! Thanks!
YES!!! silver is silver and gold is gold. NO CRAZY MARK-UPS for numismatic purposes. Put those in a museum!!
@@ChristopherWilk-w2d Bingo! ;-)
Silver 10- oz bars mmx
I say that to everyone. 999 is 999 and rounds dont carry government gouging premiums
I bought Tons of Silver Rounds for $24+ to $25 Ounce & just sold generic rounds to my Local Coin Shop for $31 Ounce. Made nice little profit & I was very happy. Invested in little Pre-33 Gold & Sovereignty Gold for my Portfolio. That’s the reason I been stacking silver to be in control of my own saving account & for the Long Haul.
Nice!
Buying silver at fair prices is never a mistake.
When I first started stacking silver I bought pretty much anything silver. I bought coins, rounds, bars, junk silver, poured and even commemoratives. After a while I came to realize that rounds were the best buy for 2 reasons. As a rule, you get more for the buck, and they don't have the higher premiums that the others have. When you try to sell coins and some of the others, it's hard to recoup those premiums. Another thing I noticed is that I used to be able to buy the older rounds a little cheaper but now dealers are calling them art or vintage and charge a higher premium for them.
Silver is silver
Personal preference.
I'm a fan of the Aztec's, the art work is awesome
Me too. Those are some nice rounds. Thanks.
I always buy rounds, the good, the bad, and the ugly. All valid points! Same mistakes here, but I feel I’ll keep on making them. Can’t help it.
I totally agree, mistakes are so easy to make, what can we do? I guess it makes it more fun. Thanks and wishing you all the best!
I’ve purchased some Silver rounds thinking I liked them, and changed my mind, some lessons I’ve learned as I go, I’ve only been at stacking Silver and Gold for two and half years but have learned a lot from you and other veteran stackers along the way. Thank You Sir. Keep on Stacking. THE SARGE
We do learn from mistakes and I think those are the best lessons. Thank you and have a great weekend. I appreciate your comments.
I buy whatever is closest to spot.
I used to watch your videos during the pandemic. Good to see you are still going strong and doing great content.
Welcome back! Thanks!
Good stuff man. Any and all silver is good silver, long as it's real. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for stopping by.
I too stack mostly rounds. I want silver conten, not collectables. I also get carried away and buy more than my buget allows and have to tighten my belt strap until next payday. But I end up doing the same thing! I just love the unboxing!! Anyway good to know about E Bay I've bought thru them ( fre shipping) and will be testing them. Thanks for the information!!!
Definitely be careful with eBay. Thanks! Have a great weekend.
First time watching you!
Great show!
Ill be a regular watcher from now on. God bless you and your platform.
I mostly stack rounds, but i mix in Canadian maples, walking liberties and britannia's.
Thanks! A appreciate the comment. Sounds like a nice stack.
I like the look of the Buffalo Rounds I bought most from Spot Price deal's. Great information thanks for Sharing 👊
Thank you.
Whatever is the most affordable .999 silver is always a great purchase, rounds or sovereigns.
You can't change my mind 😁
I honestly wasn’t trying to change your mind. 😉😃
1 oz. Rounds & Bars , Go For It!
You know, Silver rounds make great gifts. I was just looking for a Silver German Shepherd. Well, Golden State Mint had rounds from 2018, the Chinese Year of the Dog, with a German Shepherd on the front. There are rounds for everyone, and may spark interest for people to start checking out metal.
True. Thanks.
Theirs nothing wrong with silver rounds think of it this way youve still got ounces of pure silver at a good price dont worry about it sir great video as usual and happy stacking from English Dave😆
True! Great points. Thanks English Dave! 😃
Your more than welcome sir i love your channel😃
@@DaveRichardson-v6f Thanks I really appreciate that. Have a great weekend!
@@CashAndCoinsYT Is their any chance i could buy one of your channel stickers off of you
Silver is Silver. It all melts the same. I still don't get what the big controversial particularity is about.
Some companies or dealers or even local coin shops are particular about the type of silver.
Great discussion Cash! Very few channels ever bring up taxes on rounds vs coins, so for those listening that part cold be important. Thank you for the channel mention my friend! 😊😊👍👍
Thank you for having an awesome channel!
I have some of the Highland Mint 1oz Morgan Silver rounds. Also some of the Aztec 1oz rounds, ... 100oz (3-4 different mints), 10oz bars, and various rounds that are a little over 1oz. Nice to have a variety, in my mind.
That is quite a nice stack!
Little more than my body weight at this time.
Thx Cash. Great vid
Thank you. I appreciate your comment.
I like the 3 different buffalos in the beginning.
Thanks
You did not make a mistake buying silver rounds. Silver rounds are cheaper by a few dollars compared to bullion coins which have higher premiums. Buffalo silver rounds are very popular. There are other rounds like Silvertowne, SD Bullion Cowboy rounds, US silver trading units, generic Morgan and Mercury rounds
Thanks, but remember mistakes are good, the are great teachers. Have a great weekend.
Back in the day,1985 ,just started stacking.rounds were dirt cheap, culled morgans and 90% .was the way to go.nowdays a bit older more toner junk and pre33 gold....and cc morgans.
Nice.
You must buy in person with cash from a reputable dealer
Always do what works best for you. I have had some hiccups purchasing online so I do understand. Thanks.
I live in a place where there are no local places to buy. I can only buy online that is my only option. I have been stacking since 2017 on a small budget, but feel I have a pretty good little stack now. I bought only from reputable online dealers. I don't buy rounds though. I was trying to buy same dollar amount in gold and silver, but ended up with more gold as the silver takes up too much space.
@@Dakiniwoman always do what works best for you
No, you MUST not. Great prices out there on reputable sites
@@detroitgator1 leave the trail of breadcrumbs to your door
U.S. centric answer. One eaches high premium for a stackollection? That’s OK. For stacking, if going with the cheapest for stacking, it’s best. That pretty much excludes sovereign bullion. Today’s market makes it clear. Except for ASE’s, you will be lucky to get spot when you sell if everyone else is selling too.
Timing and shopping around is definitely a good idea. Thanks.
Buffalo generic rounds are very popular, Cash and Coins. They are made by various companies - Golden Eagle Mint, Sunshine Minting, Quality Silver Bullion, Silvertowne etc.
They are the most minted from what I have read.
Those cowboy rounds looks nice. 9999 rounds are my weakness
They are nice! Thanks.
Some states are charging taxes on rounds and bars they consider them bullion instead of legal tender aka sovereign which can’t be taxed
It’s nice when the laws change to our favor
Silver is worth what a buyer will pay. Most buyers want coins not rounds. Still you can make money on rounds…i own some.
I too have made money off of rounds. If you look you will find. 😁😉
The problem here is your premise that you need to “make money off of” silver (rounds, coins, bars, or whatever). Precious metals are not for speculation, and they’re not even investments. They are one means of preserving your buying power-that’s it. If someday you sell your silver for more dollars than you paid for it, that doesn’t mean it’s suddenly “worth more”; it means that your country’s currency is going down the toilet.
Brilliant video mate ⚓️🧲👍
Glad you enjoyed it, Thanks!
I’m even finding in some cases that 1 ounce rounds ( and 10 1x ounce rounds) are a little bit cheaper than 10 ounce bars, but I’m looking at both
That is a good comparison. Thanks.
SD Bullion is only offering $1.75 in back of spot or less if you sell less than 700 ounces. Huge negative.
Oh wow. Definitely shop around.
There are some great silver rounds Cash and Coins - Elemetal silver rounds - Grand Canyon, Cleopatra, Pearl Harbor; Zombucks rounds; Privateer Series rounds; Pegasus rounds ( made by Mike Maloney's company); Silver Shield rounds (made by Chris Duane"s company): Scottsdale Lion and Stackable rounds; Monarch precious metal silver rounds
I have bought from most of those you listed. they do offer some nice silver. Thanks.
I love silver rounds ..especially against werewolves ... and some vampires
😅😂😅😂
I only buy rounds when I'm knowing the design I'm getting. I'm funny that way. The round has to aesthetically appeal to me. If see 'design or our choice' in the add and I see a silly little Christmas tree on the obverse of one of their offerings, I pass.
I can understand that. I’m pretty choosy too. Thanks. Enjoy your weekend
I started buying metals in 2017, but I watched at least 100 videos from stackers BEFORE I started to buy. Right from the start, even though the rounds were less costly, I did not trust that they would be as easy to sell if ever I had to cash in... I do have one silver Buffalo round and maybe a couple of other rounds, I have that freedom round and a prospector bar, but mostly I have coins with Queen Elizabeth on them. I do have coins of many different countries, not many from the U.S. though because of the high premiums. I am not in the U.S. and there is not so much available here in Canada. I have never found anything at spot price from any Canadian online dealer and there are no local coin shops where I live. I hope you didn't get too many that you don't think were a good purchase. At first I did not buy any bars but I did buy some over the past couple of years. I only buy from reputable dealers. I do like beautiful designs on coins, and you have some lovely ones, so I may decide to buy some more rounds.
It sounds like you have a nice stack with lot of variety! I don’t really know how it works in Canada but wishing you all the best.
I've been stacking for the better part of the last two decades (2003), and 90% if not more is stuff that is minted by governments, in the last 10% is rounds but those rounds are mostly just Buffalo, but, they are the premium type of buffaloes with the SI mint mark.. I also have a mix of germanium mint as well as the old school ones you're talking about in this video that I can't spell😂... I don't really prefer rounds because usually if prices are going way up they can turn you away saying they're only coins.. and years ago during a run-up people were not even taken the rounds saying they were unable to move them but if I was willing to sell them $4 under spot they would take them.... I also have the same problem with 90% they always tend to be right at spot which is fine with me but most of the time it's a few dollars back of spot... Thusly, I stick with coins now lol... but there are some collector pieces that are very highly sought-after so those are more of a private sell type of situation... anyways I use Voice to Text due to my disabilities sorry if anything didn't turn out quite right but I'm sure you get the point.. Thanks for your time and perspective on this topic, best wishes 😎✌️
I just learned something new. I appreciate that. As of yet I haven’t be turned away selling rounds… wow. That blew my mind 🤯. Hopefully it never happens to anyone. Wishing you all the best and hope you have a great weekend. Thanks
@@CashAndCoinsYT yeah, no problem, anytime... I find rounds to be good to sell during normal economic conditions When comparing it to coins.. long story short my rounds are my emergency fund that I I use in case something comes up or I'm short on a bill, my coins is for my retirement fund, although I'm already retired still raising kids though... then I have all my collectibles which are my pass them down to my kids and family kind of Life Insurance Fund... and then my gold that's a whole nother situation which is my generational wealth fund which I've already explained to each one of my family members how it's used and when to use it... basically have a 100-year plan😂... I'm a third generation stacker and hopefully my kids become that fourth generation and so forth... ✌️

I have mostly rounds
I doesn't matter it's the silver in them some coins may be worth more but the premium issue also
True. Thanks
If I sell a silver round 1oz. Or say a 1oz. American eagle they're both still 1oz.of silver so they should both sell right?
They should. Definitely depends on where you live. What they want to pay for it. Buy back on the eagle is usually higher than any other bullion from what I’ve seen. Wishing you all the best.
Usually, when it comes time to sell, you get spot price regardless of the design. So why pay high premiums? It's all silver on the inside.
Some dealers don’t see it that way but I do get what you’re saying. Always shop around. Thanks.
Rounds are cool ! FJB 💕😺😺 Thank you for your video. FJB !
😅. Thanks
No doubt! FJB!
How much have you invested in a good safe for your stash? How much should I spend on a safe if I have 400 silver rounds?
I say do what works best for you. I spread my stuff around in different areas. You can watch different videos on creative places to hid it. If you trust your relatives you can easily put it with them. I would say it’s better to have an actual safe that is well rated than getting a gun safe or something like that, if you’re going to use a safe. I hope that helps.
Silver is silver! Never expect more than spot back!
Rounds are nice. Buy from a good LCS😊
That’s a good point. I have found some nice deals there. Thanks
If you're buying pure silver I don't see how you can go wrong

@@CashAndCoinsYT I do prefer rounds though Buffalo's to be pacific
Rounds are the smart way to buy other thenbullion of coarse I don’t understand this infatuation with Maple leafs, etc Silver is silver So no you didn’t mess up bro
Thanks.
Silver is silver is silver
Most coin dealers will only give you spot price on silver round even those rare and unique rounds in your collection. I try to stick to graded Silver Eagles and proof coins graded 70.
Wow. Only graded. Hey always say do what works best for you. Thanks for the pointers.
no, just no *facepalm*
Unless you really want & can afford them, I think (especially beginners) need to stay away from numismatic coins. They’re overpriced & hard to sell. Stay with .999 rounds or bars.
One definitely needs to know what they are doing with numismatics. Good point! Thanks
I only buy 100oz bars. Cheaper the better
Yeah. But one definitely has to have the cash to buy it. Thanks.
Who is your buyer when an emergency comes up ?
@@junglemarineI only buy 100oz bars and never a problem selling them. Just have to know people with money.
Silver is silver an an once will go up if it’s round square or triangle if u are just buying silver to sell silver
I know the Royal Canadian mint sells their maples at .9999 fine, but who sells .9999 fine rounds?
Pamp sells .9999 bars and ingots. I hope that helps.
I only exchange fiat for constitutional silver. Anything else is a toy.
Sunshine Mint rounds sell the fastest
Lot of Chinese Eagles on eBay you can see 99$ for 5 eagles is a real give away.
True, Thanks!
Yes great advice for the insane
They are most likely fake!!!
Wait a few months..this will all be insignificant
Hopefully buy them without all those fingerprints.
Yes! I did forget the gloves. Thank you.
NICE
Thanks
You very seldom ever get premiums back
That’s why spot deals are great! Also remember it’s a long term game. Good point though. Thanks.
❤
You messed up by paying a premium you won't get back. Stick to uninteresting 1 kilo bars.
Oops 😬😅
Rounds are gay
And, two weeks later, it's Pride month

I've only ever gotten spot when I've had to sell either so I try just to get the most metal for my money !!! 💰 🪙
