Once I buy some amount of metal, whatever I paid for it is 100% irrelevant. It’s mine forever till I die, then my kid will inherit it. Thanks for this video by the way, it’s very encouraging!
Stacking proper for about 1 year. I started with 1oz Silver rounds, then gold nuggets.. got 30 grams of nuggets and sold the lot in small batches 2-4g at $130g (I’m in Australia) sold the lot and bought my first Ounce. Also when I can afford it I’ll buy fractional gold. 5,10,20grams bars.. anyhow, the last week when silver was up and gold was coming back down I offloaded 40Oz of silver and bought more gold.. all up I have about 150Oz of silver and just about 4 1/2 grams of 24 K gold bars all in assay cards. That’s about $16000 Australian dollars. I’m doing well I think?
My wife asked me to stop buying silver when I reached my body weight (200 lbs) way back in the 80's, she said if we had to bug out I couldn't carry that much, to which I said "Watch Me, Baby". Still can't pass up a good deal though like the estate sale I hit during the height of the Cov Pan Panic, got over Ten pounds of US Mint pre-1964, 90% silver halves, quarters, and dimes for.........$325 cold hard cash. Melt value today about $4 Grand, Oh So Sweet ! ! ! These days I don't tally my silver stack in ounces, it is in Pounds, many, many pounds. I am working on my gold stack, though the price point has gotten higher than I like, close to a kilo now. Keep on Stacking...^ ^ ^ ^
Have you heard about At Cost Metals? A system has been developed allowing us to skip the middleman and buy precious metals at cost without the premiums. Example: 1oz gold Krugerrand is less than $5 over spot.
I started just a few years ago and , bought primarily while spot went back and forth between 17ish and 28 but with premium included inwouldnt go pay over 30 an ounce. With a few exceptions with eagles, which i paid more than i shouldve. I do feel, based on the few times ive sold , i shouldve been a lil more cautious about what i shouldve bought. Not because of the price i was able to sell for but the reason more so being what a shop was willing to buy in the 1st place. I found generic stuff was way more difficult to sell. Constitutional and eagles would have been easy but i choose to hold on to those. Where as when i went to sell generics the reason was more that places not being so interested seemed to be mostly cause of the amount they had in stock behind the counter. I only sold to see what it was like and what may be involved in doing so.
That’s a great experience and not one everyone tries. I think you are richer in experience by selling some items. That can only help you in the future in the buy and sell round trip.

So encouraging thank you! I work hard for my money and just started November last year. I see stacking channels with stacks of 1oz gold. I just can't commit to that much at this time in my life. Tieing up $2000+ is just not realistic but spending $200-$300 is. That is what I do. One item you didn't mention is learning to buy on the dip. I have had multiple times when there was a dip and I just did not have the money to buy. So I have kept a small reserve.
It’s great to put things in perspective and always good to get some encouragement! I love the idea to compete with others and not others. It’s easy for us on the internet to compare ourselves to others in completely different situations than us!
Not sure! I looked around and couldn’t find any. I’ve gotten the British Britannia gold tubes from APMEX in the past but they’re sold out. Britannia and US eagles are 16.5 mm for 1/10 gold. Maples 1/10 are 16 mm diameter. So Britannia or eagles for in Britannia tube. Holds 25. Apmex has product 18431 1/10 gold tube US mint holds 50. Not sure if it will rattle but 16 < 16.5 so maples would fit.

I've been stacking silver since Covid started, 4 years later and I have a substantial amount including Gold. I sleep easy at night know that. Some would say I've been stacking since 1986, since I've collected 1 Silver Eagle each year from 1986-2024, I started when I was in high school.

Bought 5 tubes of silver eagles from Costco and am looking to buy some 90% since it is dirt cheap now. Note: Sold off most of my gold to pay off debt, move, and take a vacation. Harder to stack gold so I'm sticking with silver.

My first "goal" was to fill a dime tube with fifty 1/10 oz American Gold Eagles. Looks and feels great in the hand! Took me about two years of buying one every payday, along with random silver purchases of course.
Im just starting im going 5 silver eagles to 1. 1/10 gold eagle. But ive heard of an interesting strategy of stacking that has to do with the gold to silver ratio. But like i said im super new
@SilverHeist thanks! I'm waiting for my 2nd set of 5 silver eagles right now. Pretty excited. I need to get a tube to fill, a good goal to shoot for. Full tube
The Gold/Silver ratio is key. It's currently 1:84. Many experts say when it's over 80 buy silver. But gold to silver mined ratio is 1:10 or less. Silver values are being suppressed. Store some gold, but silver will eventually explode at a much higher pace than gold.
Haven't bought silver for a few years, but just bought 50oz yesterday, at the bottom of the dip. It's like hunting, you need a lot of patience to wait for the right opportunity to strike. I think I did well - time will tell.
I started stacking in 1998. And I'm still buying. My most recent purchase was a week ago just before gold and silver went up. I got another half ounce gold eagle and a tube of 20 one ounce silver bars from the Scottsdale Mint. Beautiful bars that are four 9's fine. Gold was at around 2,352.00 and silver was around 28.00. I was surprised when they both went up so suddenly. I've got so many different kinds of silver than you can imagine. From coins and rounds to Lego shaped and Dice. And a Ten ounce cube which is really cool. Also different silver bullets. Graded stuff, proofs, pre 1933. You name it I prolly have it. And monster boxes. You buy a little at a time and before you know it, it adds up! I don't buy gold coins smaller than 1/4 ounce. Too small. I do have a couple though. But keep stacking, it adds up and it's a better savings than paper money.
I know I do things counter to what you say here, but I’m a coin roll hunter (half dollars), and twice I have sold at peak prices RIGHT BEFORE they have fallen. Basically (nearly) free money and my son (who gets half) turns around and buys more coins to both beef up his collection and to sell and make more money. All the while we collect more and increase our stash as new finds come our way.

When you realize that there is only enough silver on Earth for every human to have a couple of ounces and FAR LESS for gold, then you know. Make sure you have you family's share. At least.
Just did some inventory and found out I have 227oz, after a year and a half. I've got all the Dansco albums for constitutional back to Barber coinage plus some, and it was deceiving just how much I put in them, 94oz! Also have 1.58oz in gold, quite pleased with the ratio, if not a little light on the gold.
I recently thought about selling some of my silver for a Bahamas vacation with my wife. A local coin dealer is paying 50 cents over spot but he pays that for any sovereign coins. If I sell should I sell Britannia’s, Maples or Philharmonic’s. Paying spot on junk silver. Love your show. I live in Georgia but have two grandsons that live in Marblehead. Johnny Bryant
@ thank you so much for the info. One more question. I have 90% us coins that I bought at 17 times. Would I be better off selling some of those instead of the sovereign coins. Johnny Bryant

In my opinion, the best stackers reduce the Silver to Gold ratio gap as soon as they can afford it. When they can afford to add gold, choose low premium fractionals.
I should do a storage video soon. I like tubes. And album/folders if it is more of a collection. Certain baggies (zip locks) might damage a coin if kept in for a long time. Plastic decomposes and hurts metal.

Only one problem with fractional gold, the high premiums. Especially on the 10th ounces. I'll stash my cash away until I have enough for a full ounce or 1/2 ounce.
I buy full ounce Gold coins and fractionals. But nothing smaller than 1/4 oz. Those are just too small. I don't care about the premiums because Metals will continue to go up like they always have.
I'm thankful that I can afford to stack silver and gold. I must admit I didn't realize the amount of silver I've accumulated over such a short amount of time. I've also been stacking fractional gold over the last couple of months. Nothing to dramatic, but every ounce, even fractional ounces for that matter, counts in the end.

What If Fractional Gold Coin Premiums Didn't Matter? (2024)
ruclips.net/video/ZtKKM8F24QI/видео.html
I got my first silver and gold coins in the seventies from my father. He was a coin collecter. He hated banks and told me that silver and especially gold is more safe in your kitchendrawer then in numbers on your bank account. Its your pension fund that's always in your own possession. Got all seven points but i'm not a stacker, i love coins. Just bought another kilo of different silver dutch coins and just to go thru them for nice examples is a pleasure.
It’s great to enjoy your savings. It’s fun to see the variety of coins and admire the history too.
I very much appreciate and enjoyed your video.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching.
Since I am a stacker, I can relate to all 7, but 5&6 I was like, holy crap I can really relate to those!!!
The prices do move right after we buy for sure! Sometimes the wrong way!
Have you heard about At Cost Metals? A system has been developed allowing us to skip the middleman and buy precious metals at cost without the premiums.
Once I buy some amount of metal, whatever I paid for it is 100% irrelevant. It’s mine forever till I die, then my kid will inherit it.
Thanks for this video by the way, it’s very encouraging!
Good attitude and awesome future gift!
4 1/2 ounces of gold not grams. 4 1/2 grams of gold. Pfffft.
I've seen many of those signs in my own journey. One thing I haven't finished is filling my safe with gold. That one's going to take a while!
You bought a safe too big in size 😂😂😂
Very encouraging and positive!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!

Buying the dip with reserves …. You are advanced! 💪
It’s great to put things in perspective and always good to get some encouragement! I love the idea to compete with others and not others. It’s easy for us on the internet to compare ourselves to others in completely different situations than us!
I'm starting a tube of one tenth ounce gold maples. Problem is I can't find any empty tubes. Any idea where I can find them?

Good video & good advice... I'm selling off my "off-quality" silver Eagles & maples this week to take some profits and bring my GSR down a bit. This will also make my remaining stack full tubes of same year BU quality.
I've been stacking silver since Covid started, 4 years later and I have a substantial amount including Gold. I sleep easy at night know that. Some would say I've been stacking since 1986, since I've collected 1 Silver Eagle each year from 1986-2024, I started when I was in high school.
It's been my experience that buying fractional gold has crazy high premiums that you absolutely will not see again when you sell.
Good point. Even one ounce coins are being bought back under spot these days.
4 years of stacking sovereigns, 10 oz bars, 1 oz rounds, constitutional: dimes, quarters, 50 cent and 1 dollars. Pre-33 collector slab gold and U.S. gold bullion coins.

Started out with stacking silver to weigh my safe down as I had some gold bars I didn't want to lose. Bought generic silver rounds and then 5 oz-10 oz bars. Bought 5 tubes of silver eagles from Costco and am looking to buy some 90% since it is dirt cheap now. Note: Sold off most of my gold to pay off debt, move, and take a vacation. Harder to stack gold so I'm sticking with silver.

5 Successful Habits of the Gold and Silver Stacker Next Door
ruclips.net/video/3Zb0YsXbDT0/видео.html
I started stacking in 1996. My most memorable buy was 10 hundred ounce bars at around $4.20/ounce. Been buying periodically ever since.
Excellent!
Just started stacking a couple weeks ago. I really need to pull back the reigns a bit but it's so fun.
Balance is key. And so is repeatable pace.
My first "goal" was to fill a dime tube with fifty 1/10 oz American Gold Eagles. Looks and feels great in the hand! Took me about two years of buying one every payday, along with random silver purchases of course.
Great job! 👏
@@fu4616 I mentioned your success in this recent video.
Only 4 Days Left ...

Im just starting im going 5 silver eagles to 1. 1/10 gold eagle. But ive heard of an interesting strategy of stacking that has to do with the gold to silver ratio. But like i said im super new
That’s a great balance. You are on a good path !
I'm currently getting constitutional silver.Mercury dimes, for $21 x face value.I can get quarters, half dollars also for that price.
That’s great! I recently got a random roll of silver dimes (with some Mercury dimes blended in). And then another!
Haven't bought silver for a few years, but just bought 50oz yesterday, at the bottom of the dip.
It's like hunting, you need a lot of patience to wait for the right opportunity to strike.
I think I did well - time will tell.
Good day for a pickup. DIP + Premiums also generally low.
That’s fantastic! That is some excellent consistent effort over a long period of time.
This is great content!!! You share great advice/tips in this vid, THANK YOU Silver Heist!!!!
Thanks for the encouragement
Your very welcome.

Really enjoyed your post; fun and informative. I started collecting later in my life, but am having fun with it. recognizing all seven of your signs just affirms I'm on the right path. I might suggest one more sign: teaching your children/grandchildren the benefits of investing & collecting [similar, but separate]. Our kids, now in their forties, were taught the importance of investing; now its time to teach the grands by gifting them knowledge...and a coin or two. 8)

That’s very interesting about how many ounces end up in Dansco albums. Not to be overlooked!
If they get the same price, the order I would sell is Philharmonic, Brit’s, and maples last.

In my opinion, the best stackers reduce the Silver to Gold ratio gap as soon as they can afford it.
When they can afford to add gold, choose low premium fractionals.
What's a low premium fractional? most are way over 10%
Low premium fractionals 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣NO SUCH THING
Sorry newbie here ...Is it better to take the coins out of the baggies they come in and stack them in the holders?
I should do a storage video soon. I like tubes. And album/folders if it is more of a collection.
Certain baggies (zip locks) might damage a coin if kept in for a long time. Plastic decomposes and hurts metal.

Only one problem with fractional gold, the high premiums. Especially on the 10th ounces. I'll stash my cash away until I have enough for a full ounce or 1/2 ounce.
At shows they can be lower, dimes at under 10% and quarters at 7-8 can be found
