What a fascinating tour, I absolutely love my Perth mint coins and I have a big collection from them now and the quality is second to none, they put the UK mint quality control to shame. This has been my favourite bullion now video, well done guys, amazing stuff❤ Hats off to all the designers at the Perth mint too, I don't dislike any coin I've seen and happy to have them here in the UK
The tour was appreciated 🎉 I would appreciate further details, especially price lists and the specific requirements for purchasing Perth mint coins. Thank you.
This guy is so laid back and cool, "it's a dishwasher" ... "so these are some of the coining dyes, I dunno if you should film these cos, there's probly some new ones" !!!😮!!! This guy is the best person to take people through the mint! The tech guys and gals are second to none too, super conscientious and focused. Great vetting for these roles. I bet their employee retention is high. It is very difficult to house all of these different people in one place, cos the best artists are very low in trait conscientiousness. This vid is so genuinely 'on spec' it is unbelievable. A real reassurance for people buying from the Perth mint! Absolutely brilliant!
Thank you Perth Mint for allowing Michael and the crew access to your facility. I had all the images in visaged in my head as to what the insides of production would look like in the Mint but was blown away by the use of all the vintage machines. Your quality control is exceptional and I can see why you make a world class product. I loved listening to all those involved in the video. Thank you Michael and Bullion Now for organising this. I throughly enjoyed it. More please.
Those old machines were so fascinating to see! We're super proud of the fact we were allowed back there to film and share this, so thanks so much for your words!
Oh boys what a spectacular opportunity you have brought to us. I’ve always wanted to see inside the Perth Mint and without being able to get myself to Perth, this is amazing. Love NB. Awesome work on the content.
Thank you, Bullion Now. An excellent presentation/insight into all that happens in the formation of Australia's Gold and Silver coins. (And obviously the exported blanks or stamped as coins etc.) The mint representative seems like the right person to introduce permitted visitors into the dynamics through to the completion of The Perth mint bullion products. Well done.
Thank you for such an interesting video. It was very kind of the Perth mint to allow us to see all the intricate work that goes into the products that we love to collect. Many thanks to you and the mint! -John USA
Beautiful building built by our people. Locusts and Honey channel talks about having silver and our amazing people and Commonwealth of Australia. What a great video!
Fascinating insight, I always imagined it would be pretty much totally automated with robotics taking care of most of it, explains the premiums with so much manual work still done with human hands and eyes! Thanks for sharing 😍
Have been waiting for this video for ages, since you first mentioned you were doing it. Great video guys, seeing stuff that we wouldn't normally see. Great insight, thanks to you, and the Perth mint
Now I know why Perth Mint coins are the only ones I will order through the mails, sight unseen. All other mints' coins require inspection before buying.
This was great. I really did expect more of a mass-made production line with a heap of tech and very few hands-on workers. So this is eye-opening. Thanks Michael and Perth Mint.
I find it amazing that everystep of the way they said that this is the most crucial step. This is definitely team effort. Nothing short of work of art and striving for perfection. Only as good as the weakest link. Thanks for managing to get this footage. Definitely good PR for Perth Mint too. They should show this at their waiting room!
Absolutely! If just one of those links break you end up with a product that really doesn't work. Was super cool to be allowed to see some of the processes!
@@BullionNow they should do more marketing though and sound money education. It feels like the news are more rife of their scandals then their accomplishments.
Wow... Just amazing... True artists in that facility... I hope they have an apprenticeship program there, the wealth of knowledge & skill some of those folks have needs to be treasured & preserved for the next generations.
Absolutely hope that's part of their plans for the future. Tech is getting better and better and can do a lot of things, but it's clear people still really value and appreciate the skill that goes into making coins from some truly talented people!
Thank you! I don't think it's the kind of job where they can talk or show off some of the things they do normally (because of security and what not) , and so it was fascinating to be able to chat with all of them and see their skills!
I visited in April of this year. You need to "register" with them to buy bullion, even if it's under $5k. You need to "register" to make a booking for the tour. There were so many people in the line I just gave up and left.
WOW great tour, you would think melted at one end, poured and stamped as it cools down, BUT NO. Looks just like an engineering workshop. Amazing talent in there.
That was awesome ,seeing inside the perth mint 🤙I think you got the best tour through there ,and a big shout out to the team there they are doing an amazing job!👏👏😀
I think the Perth mint is hands down the best mint on the planet right now, the products they are producing are just truly top notch and they should be very proud.
Excellent video. Thank you very much. I'm in the states and I've never seen such a well-produced behind the scenes video of the US mint. They're so stuck up and arrogant I guess for whatever reason they don't let people in to do decent videos of the production. As if it matters if anybody sees how coins are made. Nonetheless, you Aussies do a great job sharing access to the mints. Aussie Aussie Aussie oy oy oy

I often see coin premiums as just a sales margin, but this video does make you appreciates the efforts into making these coins.
Agree. The process is very involved. I'd enjoy working in there.
Coins are a piece of art.

Wow I honestly can’t believe how much is still actually hand crafted by these guys. Fantastic video 👌🏻
It was so cool to see the different stages! Was fascinating to chat to some of the people behind those stages! Thanks!
Wow! thanks for the access to the Perth Mint.
We're pretty proud they let us go out the back and film!

Fabulous tour and insights into the processes. Love that some of the old machinery is still alive and well too.
The algorithm brought me here but damn that was great! Excellent and informative tour and well done on the video gents, first class stuff.
Glad you enjoyed it! Have to admit to liking it when the algorithm works in our favour!
Fantastic video would love to see more content like this and fantastic work on the videographer Bullion now just keeps getting better
