I saw them this past week in Charlottesville, Va. OMG so good. They did some Zepplin in a new light. The Battle of Evermore and When the Levee Breaks also In The Mood from his solo career. It was fantastic.
Robert Plant & Alison Krauss concert canceled in Cuyahoga Falls, OH at Blossom Music Center due to Canadian fire smoke. So sad. I so longed to see these talented singers & musicians.
I can't over-emphasize how much this does something for me. Of course the vocals are superb, and all the musicians, too, but that lead guitar just makes it so special for me. That tone! That execution! That understated, not too much, not too little quality. Maybe it stands out to me because I am a guitar player.
These are two musical geniuses who have taken impeccable care of themselves and their voices over the years. They sound incredible separately and create transcendent harmonies together. Robert plant is amazing because his voice is so incredibly unique.. for him to still have the incredible multitudes of variation in his voice is indeed not a learned approach at entertaining voice but a gift he truly is blessed with..nobody has ever come close to his vocal ability.

We just saw Robert Plant & Allison Krauss in Vancouver last month! We were Row 1 at the Queen E Theatre and let me just say the show was nothing short of amazing! Robert is still the ultimate musical "God" and he looks & sounds amazing! I was beyond giddy the entire time and JD McPherson's band opened for them and JD also played with Robert & Allison for the entire show and he was also amazing! It was truly a magical night to remember!

Just Wow! It took me some time to truly listen. I grew up on Led Zeppelin and as I got older, and Much mellower, I found a great respect for 'true hardcore basic music', bluegrass and the wonderfully talented Alison Krauss ( and the Union Station ). When I first saw that these two people from totally different ends of the world were collaborating to do an album I could not fathom the idea. OMG was I wrong! They are Wonderful together!! Back in the day we called this "Hillbilly Rock".
Dear Axl Rose, Please take note. Robert Plant lost some power and some of his signature voice as well, but he found a way to work around it and still both sound great and instantly recognizable. Sincerely, A fan of both these gentlemen. Love this performance and I'm genuinely impressed with Plant's performance at this point in his life and career.

The first time I heard Robert and Alison sing Can't Let Go, I was hooked. I added it to my playist. Then my wife (Stella) and I were watching Christmas movies, last night. We were watching Jack Frost (1998), Michael Keaton was in the lead role, driving in a snow storm, listening to the radio. The radio was playing Can't Let Go, sung by Lucinda Williams. What a surprise! Check it out!

This is the first 'record' that I had to play again directly after listening to it the first time, since your days with Zep ('Hey Hey What Can I Do' on 45 rpm in particular back in '69) !! I have to hear this tune daily, and several times a day at that. I dunno if thats a compliment to you or a sad comment as to how uninspiring so much of todays pop/rock music is?
