Mr. Plant has been voted one of the top all-time singers from England. Miss Krauss has been awarded by the President of the United States Mr. Trump for her contributions to art and music. I think it is a fairly great match and the song here is one of my favorites of the past ten years. I remember listening to Mr. Plant with Mr. Page back in the 1970's from their Led Zeppelin days and I first became aware of Miss Krauss in some of her collaborations some years ago. It's a remarkable match by two of the greatest singers on this side of the pond or the other.

Robert Plant is the most enduring, most creative Rock and Roll vocalist of the last 40 years. When the Yardbirds broke up, Jimmy Page and John Bonham recruited Robert Plant to be lead vocalist for Led Zeppelin. Whenever I want to revisit those nights of weighing my choices I just pick up the guitar and play this song.

Once I stood beside the well of many words
My house was full of rings and charms and pretty birds
Please understand me - my walls came falling down
There's nothing here that's left for you

Remember, baby, you gotta reap just what you sow
Please read my letter and promise me you'll keep
The secrets and the memory with cherish in the deep
Please read the letter - I nailed it to your door

its not about looks, its not about what bands they came from, it is the music that soars above all the ridiculous negative remarks. We're not deciding who lives and dies just if you love song great if not, great. To each his own.

They are a great duo these two. The beautiful Alison Krauss and the original rock god, Robert Plant.

Back in the day , I listened t o Led Zepplin over and over as my xx husband loved them and had a 12 hour reel to re that went on and on. So the next 35 years , I steered away from them. But hearing Robert Plant with Allison Krause, in gone gone gone, and now this, I have a total new appreciation for Robert,& his absolutely super unique sexy voice. GOES PERFECT WITH OUR BEAUTIFUL ALLISON. Great Duo

I saw Plant with LZ at the Fillmore East just about 49 years ago (!) & Alison Krauss 30 years ago at a small county rodeo in Utah ( I think back then it was just labelled "Union Station"), both shows were about $5-6 dollars, good value for $$$!

I first saw Alison Krauss in 1989 @ a Folk Festival in Hillsdale, NY. I went there to see Roger McGuinn, who was great, as usual, but Alison & her band was an unexpected surprise. An accomplished fiddler @ I believe 17 y.o.
