+Anne-Marie Rosado More Bluegrass than country and you are right; her voice is sublime. I'm not much of a fan of country music either but some of the women in country are amazing. Emmylou Harris IMHO is the best voice in country music. If you go back farther Patsy Cline was just wonderful and no doubt she would have made a lot more great music if she didn't die so young at 30. Sadly all the great country is overshadowed by crap like Garth Brooks and Shania Twain.

I have ever sense I 1st Heard her sing.

That's one good obsession.
She has not just an amazing voice, but she really puts herself out there. Almost every time I hear her voice it is almost as if she is opening a window into her soul. Giving you a chance to catch a glimpse of what she feels and how she looks at things. But, it just seems deeper than most attain. She is one of a kind, set apart from the rest. It isn't that I would say she is better, but more so she is in a different category than most artists I hear.

Some music has that affect on me. Music often stimulates my mind. It's kinda hard to describe...but when I hear voices like hers it sends a chill through me. There is just a pureness to her voice that I absolutely love to hear. You can tell she is singing from a special place. And that's worthy of a few tears, I say. When you just allow yourself to listen.

this song made me cry today on the train... I really didn't expect that to happen, I have heard it before, but today it just did speak to me. I can't stop listening to it again and again. There are loads of comments about how good Alison is and how amazing her voice is. It is true, but guys, come on, listen to this song and its lyrics, it is a MASTERPIECE!!!

Her music and voice are the zenith, the epitome of classic Americana. I've driven cross country solo several times and listened to her music only on several of those drives, through Iowa, Nebraska........the sights and sounds were so congruent with each other. Thanks, Alison Krauss and Union Station, for all the great music all these years.

Heard AKUS do Paper Airplane live on the TODAY show, and Alison just tore it up, especially that last chorus- made the track seem like a tame rough draft by comparison. 'Our love will die, I know'... and I just sat there and bawled like a baby! Once in a generation voice, simply incomparable.

She's so good. When I was younger my parents took me to see her. (Like mid '90s, I think.) I swear she hasn't aged a bit either, she's still just as beautiful as she ever was. Her voice is just...beyond words.

This song is so poignant. I have friends who recently have decided to call it a day after marriages of 30 years or more. The words of the song just express the hopelessness. for some people, of finding true and everlasting love. Her songs have a universal message . Hang in there, C and G!

This here's what happens when you combine the voice of an angel with quite possibly the greatest musicians in her genre
Her voice is golden, her technique is so polished and spot on, and last but definitely not least so beautiful on so many levels, but very easy on the eyes. Would love to write music with her as I lost my son at the age of 17, just a few months before his high school graduation. There are some sad lyrics to be written which would fit perfect with her style of music. She has stayed true to what's made her so popular with some deviation but returning to her roots and not dashing off to what's popular. Sounds like some of her talent is being passed on to her son. I too was given a talent to play by ear on many different stringed instruments ands its a true joy to hear you play. Love ya Alison.....you go girl.

Put it on shuffle, and during the song's intro I couldn't identify it. Then Allison's vocal came in and I was like, damn, what a consummate artist she is. :)
The fact that these people are together in the same place in time is a pure and amazing act of nature... the God given talent of each of these musicians and the supernatural healing power of Alisons' voice is something to be truely loved and treasured....

I have been following this remarkable group of musicians for a long time now and...they just keep on getting better, higher. Music of this calibre, touches every little part of me that really matters. Moves my heart and soul, gives me gooseflesh, and tells me that only the heart and what it feels is what ultimately means anything worth having.
Alison has the voice of 10,000 angels sent down from the heavans above. she just gets better as time passes. wish i could have seen alison back in 1987 when she played at the Rogers Bluegrass Festival in Rogers, Ohio when Bill Monroe played there as well.
