That looks so unresponsive, he was turning completely around yet the game would take like a 10degree turn. Also he was aiming straight up like the entire time yet his gun was only pointing forward
As of now you aim with the turning of your head, not the gun. However, it is very possible that could change in the future. I saw a bf4 gameplay with this thing and it looked phenomenal.
They need to make a game for it not just take pre made games. If they were to make a game specifically for the treadmill then it would work better, this is only the first few steps into virtual reality, expect even better things in 3-5 years
This thing was on Shark Tank. It's a cool concept, but it probably wouldn't do well as a mass consumer item. For one thing, it takes up too much space. And secondly, the majority of people don't want to exercise while playing their Call of Dutys and Halos. That would get strenuous after a while. It might do well in arcades or in those movie theater lobbies.
TheBrazilRules I'm not saying that people shouldn't do it; they definitely should. It's a great idea, but my feeling is that it won't be sustainable. In my opinion, it will end up like the majority of Nintendo Wiis: purchased along with one or two games, played for a little while and then shoved into that cabinet under the TV and forgotten.
Alomoes No, like, a virtual reality dome. Like the things in Avatar, (The one with the blue alien dudes) where you just go into like this thing, and everything becomes the game you're playing.
Omni yes it not realistic crouch but a slight bent knew and lean foward the sensor understands your trying to crouch, i just bought this baby it amazing saving up for Alienware come with oculus, xbox one controller the works about 2k+ 0.0" but worth it. i do like the omni better then the ones tha allow you to crouch and fully jump the games dont look as good etc the gun pyshics dont point where you point its funny yet its better, just cost way more than omni
I love SAO as well but I dont want the oculus and omni JUST like SAO u know with the dying in real life if u do in the game thing. Im not tht good at games yet. But yeah a good game and workout it kicks Wii Fits Ass!
Holy crap! Lets play ANY FPS with the Rift, The walking thing, and the suit that can let you feel objects! That's amazing! Technology is SSOOOOOOOO KEWLLLL
if you get the omni with a vive pro headset and the valve index controllers it would be like the most perfect control because you would have an oled headset for the best colors, controllers that can sense each individual finger, and then a way to walk around “freely” in a tight space to give you the full immersion
Gosh. Even though it's only been 7 years, this method of motion paired with that headset look very retro-like in design and functionality. I remember thinking this video was the future.
Captain Klyde well omni just released a video on their channel playing gta 5 with this it looks pretty cool even tough gta 5 was never meant to be played with this equipment so im not sure how stupid the controlls are xD
Also a problem that Oculus said they are just focusing on the seated experience and are using a camera setup now that isn't going to work with the Omni very well..
Wow, I can not believe how advanced gaming has been getting. That's insane. You are such a lucky guy Mark, I bet you felt like you were actually in the game lol. I wonder what Five Nights at Freddy's 4 would be like with this if it was possible.
This is really interesting to watch this today when we have things like the Valve Index and the Oculus Quest are here. Omni treadmills still aren’t really a thing, but VR has expanded in so many other unexpected ways.
This would be how I work out. It beats going to the gym, and you burn calories while doing it. So, yeah. Plus, if they make HL3 compatible with this....... *HL3 CONFIRMED*
I would actually work out in this, it'd be so great. You could play games while you move, I'm sure it's just as good as a normal treadmill, aside from you maybe not being constantly jogging. Sigh... If only it wasn't a 900 dollar combination _without_ the gun.
Devin Lucas it will improve in time, and once they get the lag down to maybe 1 or 2 frames (on both devices) it'll feel a lot better, i mean the oculus DK2 is already so much better than DK1 was, and these technologies are still VERY new compared to... say... even traditional gaming controllers (sure the concept of VR is much much older than oculus rift, but the underlying technologies have taken a long time to develop to this point and were generally only really suited for lab conditions up to that point)
it's surgeon simulator, other than pulling the eyes out of the patient you would also be slapping them in the face with a kidney and making them eat it
Miller Animations Yeah. Like, take the other pieces OF the portal gun from the model, and put them on. Of course it'd possibly look like a fat portal gun, but..
I just realized that the gun doesn't do anything. It's unmodded Half-Life 2; it's just using the foot movement as input, and the headset for mouse aiming. He's aiming it and pointing like he's gonna use it to shoot the FUCK out of the Combine soldiers, but all it's good for is the trigger/fire button. Oh what a long way VR has come.
I would so play S.T.A.L.K.E.R. with this. Imagine being behind cover, and leaning to shoot a bandit and running away from bloodsuckers, and moving across anomalies. awwww yisss
The problem with advancing this type of technology is that if you take it too far the body will believe what is happening is real and as such if you die in a game your body could think it was actually killed. This reason is why it's important to maintain some form of disconnect between the mind and the game.
Matthew Heart I think it's nearly impossible to get that level of realism in video games. In current games your brain already 'believes' that you are the main character in the game, without that, jumpscares wouldn't work. But let's just see what happens, it's hard to predict.
lets just say, this is much better than that big hamster ball thing, this should go on the market, its not to big, it could be in the family room, and imagine playing Sunset Overdrive or BO3 Freeruns with this thing, this would change the world of MLG, and just a normal family room gamer!
+Minkais I did read that recently. but Vive has a 15ft radius you can walk around to touch objects in virtual space. not sure how that works while being plugged in. you have any idea how they will keep it from tangling?
What they need to do for this is to add in a 'run' button, so that way you can walk normally but as long as you're holding the sprint button on the controller, it still reads it as running. Also another thing is they need a more natural controller, cause I dunno about you, but I'd feel weird playing skyrim with a gun controller.
you already lose calories every day. in fact most of your caloric loss comes from your bmr which is the rate at which your body burns calories while resting. caloric deficits are super easy. eat less
So... Virtuix Omni is a type of motion thingy to help get the feel that you're in a game? ...It's fucking official, I don't give a da-- WE'RE MOVING INTO THE FUCKING FUTURE PEOPLE! WE GUNNA HAVE DE FLYING CAAAAAAAAAARS, DE FACKING VIRTUAL HOLOSCREEN COMPATERS AND... IT'S GONNA BE FOKING BRILLIANT! NOW IF ALL OF YOU FOKING MIND, I AM GONNA HAVE ME SOME FOKING TEA!
m8 We already have the capabilities for holograms, and probably computers as well xD Flying cars would just be an even bigger waste of fossil fuels, and hardly even give us an advantage over driving on a road, so I don't think that would actually ever happen.
***** Imagine not only being able to build your own house, but to feel as if you are actually in the house you built. Plus, slap on a few hundred mods and Minecraft gets a lot more interesting very fast.
Handsome Jack Can it have a 6 meter tall glass pillar filled with lava in the living room? Can it be built on top of a mountain? Can it be made entirely out of melons? In Skyrim, I think not.
I know this is super old but you've got to really give some credit to the guys that made this! This really is a super awesome idea. The fact that they really made something that could let you physically control your character with your own body is ground breaking. I'm sure there is other things like this in the world but it doesn't dampen the idea. Yeah, it looks a bit stiff and probably not good for long gaming sessions but this was the first version of this that they made public I bet. Give the people who made this a break! Stop focusing on what's wrong with it and just enjoy the fact that virtual reality gaming is 100% a thing now and with time it's only going to get better and better. Everyone in the comments is acting like they bought this thing and is leaving bad reviews on it. Just enjoy it, and if you can't enjoy it then just focus on how silly Mark looks! :D
Its hard to imagine how fast time would go in a virtual reality thing like this, youd truly be so immersed that youd not even notice time passing. Also when exercising your body is physically working but if you can tune your mind to other places you can actually relieve yourself, increasing the time you can go. (This is why when we run or go to the gym its popular to bring a source of music or a friend with us, mind occupation). That being said, a gaming experience that offers physical work with the mind task of playing a game would work wonders for a gamers fitness, and time would feel as though its flying. Kill like 4 birds with 1 expensive stone.
I would love to try that thing out. Play battlefield multiplayer with it. And what would be even more amazing is if this could be used for Skyrim or something. Cant wait for this to be really afortable.
Personally I think this is better than HTC Vive. You can actually move around while being in the same spot, instead of having to stay in a certain area.
Cant wait to see the Virtuix Omni on MMORPG's. It would almost be like SAO but sadly, without the actual smells or your sense of touch.... or dying haha.
I just finished SAO on netflix, and the idea of a piece of technology that intercepts commands from your brain could happen. However, staying alive could prove to be a problem. :P
Hey I'm not trying to be mean or anything but I hear a lot of talk about how these Japanese anime cartoon things are "sooo good" and I'm from the south so really nobody really watches it there are a couple not not alot and I'm just confused at the whole concept and what's so good about'em so if yall could maybe fill me in a bit that'd be nice
Cody Heflin It's mostly about the art style and story of most anime that sets it apart from western cartoons. In fact, anime is pretty much more like an art than a cartoon. Another thing is that anime is for all ages to watch as it spans many different genres known in the east and west. I could be missing some things so I'll let some of my fellow anime fans fill in some gaps. Btw if you're interested in watching I'd recommend Jormungand or Black Lagoon if you wanna start watching anime I prefer the dubbed versions.
As crossing these concepts with what was mentioned in "VIRTUAL REALITY HAMSTER BALL | Virtusphere Review" and "NEW Oculus Rift 2! Head-Tracking + 1080p, Playing My Neighbor Totoro!", why not make cloves, elbow pads, knee pads, and anklets to allow for motion sensing, realistic, in-world experience? For hips, instead of a belt (one size won't fit all), have a front, back, and two side attachments that can hook into pants, or something. If you add a backpack that contains the electrical systems and such, you should be able to avoid most of the wire issues by having the wires flow along with your natural curves, giving plenty of slack to compensate for your motions in full range. This way, you don't have the wireless problem, cord caught while moving problem, and gamers can gt WAY more exercise. For longer gaming and video uploads, a thick "tether" cord could be attached to the backpack and extend vertically to a standing system that is kept off the floor to avoid tripping. The thickness is for durability of cord, and most of the thickness will come from a cover slip that will take the strain of a pull so the inner wiring doesn't have to. Also, since the other wires from all other extremities are tied into the backpack, the wires won't have to extend very far or overly compensate. The important thing to remember is to leave as little of that extra length dangling out into the room as possible, hence the extra buckles on the extremities for a follow line to the backpack. Humans are over-complicating their social and technological developments.
i think its amazing how far vr has advanced in these past years i've been watching all of marks vr videos from the rift all the way to the vive and oculas quest its so amazing how we've gone from just looking around to moving and then physically interacting with the sorroundings in the game.
I'm sorry, I know this is cutting-edge technology, but I keep thinking the rig they've got him strapped into looks like one of those things you put a baby or toddler in. You know, the ones with the wheels?
AnotherCrazyCanadian Because if I buy this thing and I spent my hard earned money on it, I don't want people who visit me and sees the Omni, to say: "It looks like one of those you put a baby or a toddler in. You know, the ones with the wheels?".
Why are you worried about what others think about you? Your the one getting exercise and your the one who's having fun doing it. If people are making fun of that, you need better friends.
AnotherCrazyCanadian I didn't mean it like I was worried about what people would think about me, I would just be afraid of getting my excitement ruined :) Here, i'll make a weird-ass example: If you find this giant di*k-looking thing and ride on it's back like it's a horse and you think it's sooo awesome, then suddenly someone comes up to you and says: "Dude... that's a giant di*k", then I can bet you'll be like: "Oh... it actually looks like a di*k..." and wouldn't think it's that awesome anymore. And yes. I Censored the "c" instead of the "i" on purpose, so people wouldn't think it was "duck".
I mean, SAO is popular among weebs nowadays and that is proper VR, apart from the viewing screen. Although that gets better later on in Accel World with the neurolinker of course. :p The Matrix itself is a good example of VR too. :o Attaching a screen to your face where you look from the eyes of the character, although I've seen game play for oculus so many times with different things, and it all looks so horrible. And then having a controller that isn't special, it's just a controller that isn't in your hand, does not make it VR. :S
Or Team Fortress 2. We going to lose a lot of weight if playing as Scout. As Sniper, not too much different with normal. One more thing: It would be so good if the gun you hold actually control the gun the the game. So you are not just shoot at the center of the screen all the times. Even better is you have more thing attach to your arms, legs so you have full control to your character body. And now you can do any taunt you want.
This is a way to stay in shape AND play videogames. It's perfect XD
It's good to know we have such capable warriors to protect us in the case of a zombie outbreak.
HAHA
I KNEW I WOULD LIVE TO SEE THIS
BEING ABLE TO EXERCISE AND PLAY GAMES AT THE SAME TIME
YES
***** Well he meant while having fun.
Silverand Moon lol "exercise".
Silverand Moon ever heard of the wii? look it up
But you can't play shooting games, Minecraft, (just ones off of the top of my head,) can you?
Goin Game Crazy ever heard of "waving your arm at the screen a little bit isn't fucking exercise"? look it up
Oh wow, imagine playing horror games on this beast....
I'd probably shit 😂
I'd be screaming my head off.....
You'd be dead before you are born in the game.
+RandomStranger_3 IF YOU DIE IN THE GAME YOU DIE IN REAL LIFE! (It's snowing on Mt. Fuji.)
+Josh Riley LMAO. Reminded me something about a rule 3 years ago.
It's times like this that you appreciate the stamina of video game characters
Lol did some dad watch his child in a baby walker and suddenly decide that it would be an awesome gaming device!!
Oh how I'm so happy that we can finally have a good virtual reality system. Just imagine what could be done with RPGs with this type of technology.
this was the first markiplier video i ever saw, and to see how far he’s come since then is nothing shy of incredible.
There will come a time when gamers are the fit ones.
😂😂😂😂
That looks so unresponsive, he was turning completely around yet the game would take like a 10degree turn. Also he was aiming straight up like the entire time yet his gun was only pointing forward
As of now you aim with the turning of your head, not the gun. However, it is very possible that could change in the future. I saw a bf4 gameplay with this thing and it looked phenomenal.
Hmmmm.

They need to make a game for it not just take pre made games. If they were to make a game specifically for the treadmill then it would work better, this is only the first few steps into virtual reality, expect even better things in 3-5 years
in half life you cant aim and look separately. he is using the oculus to turn not the omni
+Tails377 with just the oculus u can
This thing was on Shark Tank. It's a cool concept, but it probably wouldn't do well as a mass consumer item. For one thing, it takes up too much space. That is why people are fat...
Man i would LOVE to play video games like this. Get fit and game at the same time, yes please
Brandon deCathelineau If you're like most Americans, you would get tired of it pretty quickly.
*****
That is true about all kinds of exercise. Is that a reason to never doing it?
TheBrazilRules I'm not saying that people shouldn't do it; they definitely should. It's a great idea, but my feeling is that it won't be sustainable. In my opinion, it will end up like the majority of Nintendo Wiis: purchased along with one or two games, played for a little while and then shoved into that cabinet under the TV and forgotten.
all gamers who own this or will own it they will be rally fit
*really
Sell it it would be great. You can play video games and get fit
Would be playing all day.
+Jose Rivera Think about Playing it with the Six Sens :D would be Tooo Nice
+Jose Rivera how to get fit of nerd gamers
Forget going outside, you could get your exercise just by doing this.
well you can go outside and have a nice tan and a bath every now and then I guess :D
This aged pretty well.
Markiplier, breaking anything that can be broken since forever
Imagine playing skyrim with that. Exploring the forest and getting less fat all at once.
VioletFlame My God, I'd finish that game with a twelve pack.
If we played Skyrim with this... Obesity would be solved
I'm waiting for the day that someone makes the gaming dome...
Niki Same
Niki I think you mean a.....Gamesphere! #GameshpereMasterRace
Eamon Woods me too it will be so cool
Niki Combine all three? Oculus True Motion Omni.
Alomoes No, like, a virtual reality dome. Like the things in Avatar, (The one with the blue alien dudes) where you just go into like this thing, and everything becomes the game you're playing.
I bet when someone said Jump and Mark actually tried to, the Developers almost had a heart attack.
jumping works on virtuix as of now.
Though I'm not sure about crounching.
probably not proning either
Extra data:
Crounching does work, It's just not very realistic. You pretty much sit.
This,is the begining.
SWORD ART ONLINE HERE I COME!!!
I love SAO!!!
Me 2 i was looking for virtual reality whole day just becouse Sword art Online XD cant wait ^^
Were All Like YEAH SWORD ART ONLINE IS POSSIBLE WOOT WOOT But in reality we are all gonna die within like 20 minuits of that ever happening
UltrosGaming Noo :C
I love SAO as well but I dont want the oculus and omni JUST like SAO u know with the dying in real life if u do in the game thing. Im not tht good at games yet. But yeah a good game and workout it kicks Wii Fits Ass!
IMAGINE SKYRIM WITH THIS AND OCCULUS
I would probably just walk around instead of playing the game. XD
i think someone already did it, and it was a fail, the scenery not as big as you'd expect.
Holy crap! Lets play ANY FPS with the Rift, The walking thing, and the suit that can let you feel objects! That's amazing! Technology is SSOOOOOOOO KEWLLLL
arandomtopic I think that the Cyberith is better than the omni because it has crouching and all that.
alot has done, like jacksepticeye.

same shit
***** Maybe they edited their comment?
rickyteen Joe yep
***** Their original comment said "exersize".
rickyteen Joe Yeah,he/she did edit it.
Now we don't have to worry about not getting exercise when playing games.
Gosh. Even though it's only been 7 years, this method of motion paired with that headset look very retro-like in design and functionality. I remember thinking this video was the future.
you can buy that thing (Headset included) for 1.5k now
i mean its not that cheap but its like half of what a pc would cost like (In these times is a 3070 lol)
@@Upioti If I had a sister, I'd sell her for it lol
@@wittymchitty same
Oh my god, I want to play portal with this so badly

IT IS NOW MY LIFE GOAL TO DO THIS
+Kassy Chateauneuf Which direction am I throwing up in?!
I swear i was thinking that, just two seconds before i saw you comment!
*sighs* VR is coming, people.
Yea it has xD Lol
Ladies and gentlemen. The very thing that will make every game super fit.
this would be sick for GMOD and minecraft...
My life will be complete if this works with GTA V
imagine it in the special dance in the strip club
See their most recent vid as of may 6th.
Ty The Potato on the virtua omni yt page
Captain Klyde well omni just released a video on their channel playing gta 5 with this it looks pretty cool even tough gta 5 was never meant to be played with this equipment so im not sure how stupid the controlls are xD
You'd be faster than Usain bolt when you're level 100
WAIT!..THERE'S ONE PROBLEM!!!!!!
YOU CAN'T CROUCH!!!!!!!
You can crouch ive seen it on shark tank
How?
You bend your upper body down
Also a problem that Oculus said they are just focusing on the seated experience and are using a camera setup now that isn't going to work with the Omni very well..
WAIT..................
OMG YOU CAN.... so fuck you
Wow, I can not believe how advanced gaming has been getting. That's insane. You are such a lucky guy Mark, I bet you felt like you were actually in the game lol. I wonder what Five Nights at Freddy's 4 would be like with this if it was possible.

Lag must be very disorienting.
True that, the delay on that shit is no joke
Lag is disorienting with the oculus alone, the treadmill just makes it worse.

Imagine surgeon simulator with like interactive gloves so you could feel the blood as you pull the patients eyes out of their sockets!
HELL NO.
hell yes
Surgeon Simulator for the HTC Vive is coming out in a few months, so maybe?
Why the hell would a surgeon pull out the eyes of the patient??
it's surgeon simulator, other than pulling the eyes out of the patient you would also be slapping them in the face with a kidney and making them eat it
I hope this works with Portal 2.
Miller Animations You'd need to take one of those models that they sell that light up, just make it to work with the game you are playing, bam.
Miller Animations xD
Or just shove random boxes everywhere on it.
They'd probably have to make their own.
Miller Animations Yeah. Like, take the other pieces OF the portal gun from the model, and put them on. Of course it'd possibly look like a fat portal gun, but..
Yes they should!, I so want it! (when it comes out or if its lit, unless they cancel wich they mist likely wont)

He's aiming it and pointing like he's gonna use it to shoot the FUCK out of the Combine soldiers, but all it's good for is the trigger/fire button.
Oh what a long way VR has come.
u just blew my mind

Oh, gosh. Imagine if Shadow of the Colossus could be played with these...

WHERE IS THIS TECHNOLOGY TODAY CMON PEOPLE!
It was supposed to come out past year but got delayed because of Covid
How do you stop the Oculus cable from getting wrapped around your body when you've been turning in circles?
Or you could use a wireless vr headset like the vive.
Easier said than done
+Trevor Cobb Vive isnt wireless
+Minkais I did read that recently. but Vive has a 15ft radius you can walk around to touch objects in virtual space. not sure how that works while being plugged in. you have any idea how they will keep it from tangling?
+Minkais look up NODE, it shows they have a wireless vive
playing dayz with the Omni would be the worlds hardest workout
Haha
You could like run a 5k around cherno XD
uziel simion omg yes
It's not called DayZ anymore it is now called running simulator 2014
What they need to do for this is to add in a 'run' button, so that way you can walk normally but as long as you're holding the sprint button on the controller, it still reads it as running. Also another thing is they need a more natural controller, cause I dunno about you, but I'd feel weird playing skyrim with a gun controller.
that is amazing! Exercise and gaming at the same time, fantastic.
Look at how far vr technology has come.
People could actually get exercise while gaming with this thing. Like a dream come true.
I would rather have on of these than treadmill.
People think video games are addicting NOW! When all this becomes commercially available, no one will ever leave their house.
but they will be able to exercise.
5Delano Fair point.
Then hook up a machine to leverage the energy produced via the friction...
5Delano well, you could already exercise through video games tons of years ago, ye' know, the Wii
Virtuix Omni + Oculs Rift + Leap Motion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just imagine mkx on this thing

i need this so my mom wouldn't nag me all the time. :)
ikr, even though I'm quite skinny. :)
TaskMasterMLG Imagine how hard stealth games would become... crouch walking all the time...
IDied200YearsAgo
Workin' out those buns and thighs though.
Fuyu_Seishin12 Is that a spongebob reference I see?
Virtuix Omni + Mirrors Edge = where the hell is my money
You'd need special gloves for that....but, I'd SO do that!
Yeah....need something for the actions....right? Like the gun?
You know, for Far Cry that Markiplier played?
The beginning of the video.....you know, the gun that Mark used......it's just an example
This is seriously the coolest Virtuix Omni video out there! This is like fan-service, but just for us gamers!
You can tell this is long before the addition of tracking the controllers.
I'm going to get it, put it in my closet, and put a sign on the door that says 'Holo Deck'
Then everybody you know would make a joke about you coming out of the closet.
I'm willing to make that sacrifice.
That would be pretty awesome actually
We're truly going to lose him in the horror world… It will consume him…
Omg if I had this I would be losing calories every day
you already lose calories every day. in fact most of your caloric loss comes from your bmr which is the rate at which your body burns calories while resting. caloric deficits are super easy. eat less
Thank you captain literal
Malith x26 well a lot of people think that training is the main source of calorie loss. when in fact its the smallest amount
thats what diet is for...
isn't?
same. imagine if you could play gta v online with this
Anyone else here nine years later now that the consumer version is coming out?
If this could be combined with dishonored or shadow of the colossus I would throw all my money at them.
NOW IF ALL OF YOU FOKING MIND, I AM GONNA HAVE ME SOME FOKING TEA!
why dont you fucking shut up
'Internet'
m8
We already have the capabilities for holograms, and probably computers as well xD
Flying cars would just be an even bigger waste of fossil fuels, and hardly even give us an advantage over driving on a road, so I don't think that would actually ever happen.
L
I'm going to need... an oculus rift, an omni, some motion sensor gloves, and a turtle beach headset.
And once of these? www.nokenny.com/hentai-oculus-rift.html
I use the Rift, Hydra, Kinect and X12's on my PC gaming setup. All a great combo.
Daniel Campbell omg lolz when i pressed it, it was cool but opened of a website called fapbase -.- i got in sooo much trouble when i clicked it
Behold! The newest and best way to trick people into exercising! XD
Imagine using this for Minecraft. Of course, changes in hardware may be needed to simulate jumping and crouching, but it would be beyond awesome.
***** Imagine not only being able to build your own house, but to feel as if you are actually in the house you built.
Plus, slap on a few hundred mods and Minecraft gets a lot more interesting very fast.
Charles Jr. Pike Pixelmon, tekkit, space...
Imagine that!
+Charles Jr. Pike Also On Multiplayer Mode That Would Be So Awesome
In Skyrim you can build houses too...
Handsome Jack
Can it have a 6 meter tall glass pillar filled with lava in the living room?
In response to that, i think of sao...
Maddy Gyu Im unfamiliar with sao, who is that? Im curious
+TJJ Art sao=sword art online. its a pretty good anime and pretty popular
+TJJ Art sao=sword art online. its a pretty good anime and pretty popular
Maddy Gyu Ohh, Ive heard of it, always wanted to start watching but time would be hard to come by to get involved in a series
this rig needs to be the theme for a gym. I would be so thin and fit if I had this set up with Skyrim.
I would love to try that thing out. Play battlefield multiplayer with it.
And what would be even more amazing is if this could be used for Skyrim or something. Cant wait for this to be really afortable.
monster hunter!!!!!
naa i think thats more for fps games
your sprint meter wouldn't count for crap for Skyrim with this thing, lol
Stamina. my bad
lol true you can play skyrim on this
This is how games of the future should be! I would pay mass money for this!
talking with hindsight, how's VR going for you nowadays?
I wanna see a multiplayer version of this stuff. Give them all wiimotes, play some Zelda stuff.
Personally I think this is better than HTC Vive. You can actually move around while being in the same spot, instead of having to stay in a certain area.
LOL at the end "thats the outro that i do" lol mark xD. people won't think you're weird.
Cant wait to see the Virtuix Omni on MMORPG's. It would almost be like SAO but sadly, without the actual smells or your sense of touch.... or dying haha.
I love SAO!
yesssss sao ftw
I just finished SAO on netflix, and the idea of a piece of technology that intercepts commands from your brain could happen. However, staying alive could prove to be a problem. :P
And people think you can't play games and exercise at the same time, pfft.
That second one would be interesting to play surgen simulator with, heh.
Razer Hydra. buy that.
Ooh, tempting. :)
Walking interfaces would be cool. People would get a lot of exercise, no doubt. Navigating stairs would be weird, though.
This made me think of SAO.
At least this VR machine wont kill you when you try to manually log out.
Fuyu_Seishin12 yet
So true
Did they ever sell this to the public? I haven’t seen anything about it except for this video
Sorta, they did make a product for it, but its 5k
when mark tried to catch the butterfly, he looked like he was drunk! XD
Man, we've come a long way just in 7 years
If this replaced everything, gamers would be so fit!
I want one of these. Like- Me playing CoD Zombies or Battlefield would be SO FUN! ...And I'd probably get un-fat-ified!
Humans are over-complicating their social and technological developments.
patent this
i think its amazing how far vr has advanced in these past years i've been watching all of marks vr videos from the rift all the way to the vive and oculas quest its so amazing how we've gone from just looking around to moving and then physically interacting with the sorroundings in the game.
I'm sorry, I know this is cutting-edge technology, but I keep thinking the rig they've got him strapped into looks like one of those things you put a baby or toddler in. You know, the ones with the wheels?
Well, thanks for ruining 50% of my excitement for this thing xD
Why is that a bad thing?
AnotherCrazyCanadian Because if I buy this thing and I spent my hard earned money on it, I don't want people who visit me and sees the Omni, to say: "It looks like one of those you put a baby or a toddler in. You know, the ones with the wheels?".
Why are you worried about what others think about you? Your the one getting exercise and your the one who's having fun doing it. If people are making fun of that, you need better friends.
AnotherCrazyCanadian I didn't mean it like I was worried about what people would think about me, I would just be afraid of getting my excitement ruined :) Here, i'll make a weird-ass example:
If you find this giant di*k-looking thing and ride on it's back like it's a horse and you think it's sooo awesome, then suddenly someone comes up to you and says: "Dude... that's a giant di*k", then I can bet you'll be like: "Oh... it actually looks like a di*k..." and wouldn't think it's that awesome anymore.
And yes. I Censored the "c" instead of the "i" on purpose, so people wouldn't think it was "duck".
We'll all be dead or incredibly old before virtual reality is even being thought of.
Virtual reality was a thing like 10-15 years ago. It'll be done sooner than you think.
Except for the fact they're talking about VR in the video..
The singularity is near, m8
What part of it is virtual reality?
I mean, SAO is popular among weebs nowadays and that is proper VR, apart from the viewing screen. Although that gets better later on in Accel World with the neurolinker of course. :p
The Matrix itself is a good example of VR too. :o
Attaching a screen to your face where you look from the eyes of the character, although I've seen game play for oculus so many times with different things, and it all looks so horrible. And then having a controller that isn't special, it's just a controller that isn't in your hand, does not make it VR. :S
The dude's facial expression while chewing gum in the background after the 8 minute mark intrigues me.
Reminds me of Ted Cruz
I wanna be in a teen titty film
More vr than an actual vr headset!
Pretty kool tech.... that was never of or heard of ever again.... 😜
portal with this shit would be great.
Playing heavy :c
Fuck Portal, game sucks *_* and yes i have played it.
BakedDonut19 Fuck you :D Only TRUE valve game fans are allowed here.
+Reaper Panda only valve fans :(
Good luck playing games like assassin' screed. You'll be doing stationary parkour xD
***** That is fucking sadism at its finest.
Gamers would get so fit with this. Imagine how much walking/running you do in normal games.
