Just in time for the wave of these hitting the second hand market, as Piko has released the first new version of this in ages.
The only surviving example (of the second series) is being restored to running condition.

Agree . Once model railroad enthusiasts purchse the new Piko version , I have a felling we will start to see more of these become available in the 2nd hand market . Besides the unique motor arrangement, I think these old Riva units were pretty good for their time .
