Looks like a solid combo. I’ve always been interested in a telescopic rod for my kayak. I always forget my rods when I go under trees, and I have actually knocked them in the water. Thanks for sharing. 😎
Hey GirlFinFishing. I just took it out to the bay yesterday trolling for halibuts. So far it is holding up pretty well. Video of that will be coming soon. Next test will be jigging for rockfish & lingcods. Definitely a product to consider for your kayak. Thanks for watching

The plastic line that goes through the eyes, at the bottom it has a hole for you to put your line through and pull it up and out of the eyes which will line your rod as well.

It does look like a Penn, is the reel made of a aluminum frame? I never heard of Kingswell. I had a Shakespeare telescopic combo. Lasted for about a year under light use. The reel was corroded from the inside and the rod eyelets as well. For sure not saltwater grade.....😂
Hello FishingDNA. Yes, it has an aluminum body & metal bail. I plan on taking this rod & reel to the ocean and battle test it for halibuts, rockfish & ling cods in the next few weeks. So far, it's looking pretty good.

I love the idea of the telescopic rods and how portable they are but I have just not had much fortune with them.
Hopefully your luck changes in the future. I plan on putting this telescopic combo to the test for bigger fish and methods.

Shad have too many Y bones but the meat is really sweet.
