Hello it's Emma here! This is my original performance from my time on Fool Us. Thank you all for the support it means a lot. Just the likes and shares are really helpful so keep it up!
I was so rooting for you. That was an amazing magic trick and you had me fooled. There is no doubt in my mind that you will go far in life with your performances. Do not let gender be an issue at all. You have a great stage presence.
Hi Emma, fool us is mine and my wifes favorite show on Friday nights. I have to work every other Friday so we have the series recording on dvr. We saw your original performance a few weeks back and loved it. We feel you're going to go far. Keep it up sweetie and we hope to see you again in the near future.😊
I think that's really cool too. Although I never click on the videos that spoil whether they're successful or not. Part of the enjoyment of this show is that final reveal and if the title tells me they did I skip it.
Another performance that clearly demonstrates that winning the trophy is not the main goal of this show. The true purpose is to witness amazing magicians perform even more amazing magic acts. Your stage presence is incredible; you're confident, professional, and it is clear that you love being there and performing magic tricks. You even handled Penn professionally. You didn't let him look around and carelessly touch things at the end. No, you placed the piece of paper in his hand and essentially said, 'Here you go, you can examine this as much as you want. Now, go back to your chair and sit down.' Great job!
@@randallhunt9170I, for one, was entertained. Very much so. In fact, I was literally saying out loud several "wows" throughout the performance simply because of how well executed it was.
The real magic is solving the face of the cube while simultaneously talking to Penn, without looking like you're solving the face of a cube. Emma, you're obviously a very experienced cuber. Most cubers I talk to can't maintain a conversation while solving a face.
It's not really solving the face. It's really just getting 8 pieces around a center. If it were a solved face, there would be 3 consecutive colors on the bottom row of each side.
@@Ricky.Moszer Except I think she was lining up the bottom as solid yellow while AVOIDING solving the side, because if the bottom row didn't look "random" on the four adjoining sides, it would have tipped off what was happening too early.
Anyone know why her cube had non-standard colors? The white and yellow faces should be opposite but they're touching on hers. I don't think any cube trickery is needed for the trick so why not use the standard color scheme?
@@manusoftar you are dead wrong. the main part of the trick is that she was able to solve the side a normal cube half way while looking at it, and then the rest while looking away and talking to Penn
@@Wright1331 I know, I was just saying it looked odd to see that color pattern... The trick is no mistery, there are a couple of options for some parts (like, how did she managed to know which color did Penn choose, because it was clearly not a force, she could have done that by memory like knowing the original orientantion of the cube and keeping the order on her head as she turned the cube around or even by having some kind of tactile assitance on the cube itself to help her know which face she was touching) but it pretty straight forward.
@@Autoskip yep, it's not a gimmicked cube, it's just odd that she didn't use a regular color scheme for it... there are many ways in which she may have known which color did Penn choose... she may have memorized the orientation she started from and keep a mind record of how many movements she did on her back until Penn asked her to stop to know exactly on which color she landed, or even have something on the cube, like something she could feel by tact to know which face Penn choose. The rest is just solving the first face but disregarding the other of the cross and corners so it is not that obvious that she, basically solved that face. The block part is a commercial thing that has been used for years (Like, the bowling ball from a paper block, and even David Copperfield has a trick where he draws a landscape and then makes the moon rise on the paper and lastly he rips the page and gives it to the spectator).
Solving a face while making it look like she was just mixing it up some more and chatting him up. Brilliant! Incredible solving skills raised to a level of confidence that allows you to pull that off on a stage with cameras and a live audience. This is not a trick that just anyone can do and therefore exclusive to cube masters only. Bravo! 🎉 🙌 🎉
I saw yellow all over the cube the whole time she manipulated it that I never expected a full yellow side as the final reveal. I had to go back and rewatch. The last couple turns of the cube were so effortless that I still didn't catch it on the 2nd time through. Then I watched that part a couple more times. Unbelievable skill!
Yeah I had to watch a couple times. At one point you could tell the yellow was close to being solved and she just did the final couple turns with yellow down to not show. Very smooth. Only true cubers would truly understand. Not me that’s for sure.
The last two moves before she puts it in his hand were the whole trick, and I don’t know how she did it. I can solve a cube the slow “baby cuber” way. Knowing the color and working the notebook are clearly the “easy” parts of the trick. Talking to and guiding Penn while handling the cube and making it look mixed up until the very last moment are the deep skills. I’m sure Penn could pull this off, but Teller could never.. because he’s so bad at talking to people.
Her solving technique without making it look like she is solving is the real trick here. The rest is unfortunately no secret to any attentive observer.

Not only is this a very entertains, engaging and clever trick, but how she hid how she did it from all but the most trained eye is magic in itself. I watched it back and I think I’ve worked it out, but that only makes it that much more impressive - to call this a mere ‘trick’ does not give true justice to what is required to perform it. I therefore know Penn wasn’t lying when he said he and Teller could never learn it. Knowing how it’s done is one thing, but being able to actually do it is a whole other story. The speed you completed that yellow face without looking or even making it obvious was really clever! When I realised where the trick was going I had to rewind the video to rewatch it!
She looked at the cube on three occasions as she solved it. As with all skilled magicians, you have to be very alert to spot such things - I only saw once of the looks the first time through.
You are a genius four times. She rotated the six sided cube so that only four sides were available based on how she was holding it. This is not magic in its typical form. This is 100% skill that most people do not have and will never have and some easy and basic magic routine. Still impressive and certainly worth respect. The act was smooth and the audience loved it. Flawless performance.
@@Dayvit78 Some skills require specific mental powers that cannot be learned. It needs to be a born genius to be able to master them. I do not claim that other magicians use real magic, as there is no such thing as real magic. While I fully understand the steps, I would be incapable of performing them nowhere close to that speed and confidence as I saw in the video (and most likely I would make a mistake somewhere). Many "magic moves" do not require special skills, just practice. But this is not just practice, it is about being a genius. Comparable to top musicians who master their instrument in a way that the vast majority of fairly good players never achieve, even if they practice for decades. Some people have a gift to play the violin like nobody else, some people have other gifts. Some of us, like me, have none. 🙂 But that does not mean we cannot enjoy and appreciate performances by those who have them.
@@erikziak1249not trying to discredit i myself think the trick was nice. but there ins't anything difficult in this trick. the most complicated part is 3:00 where you need to solve one face of the cube
Its great that Penn uses code to express that they know how the trick works without revealing the secret to the audience. A true professional. Dont worry, im sure you'll get them next time.
Well done performance and what is MUCH better than that is the fact that you are very likeable as a person so people will enjoy watching you. Thank you for a fun watch. 😄
I have to say well done. Performing to a large audience can be nerve wracking. As a musician it's something I appreciate. I can't say how you did the trick. Although the way you manipulated the cube so casually was fantastic. I have no idea how the pen bit works. You have a bright future ahead of you.
The conversational cube face solve is so impressive! I’ve put in a bit of time with a cube but I cannot and probably will not ever get to that level of expertise. Very well done!
I just saw this performance for the 1st time and WOW! Was really impressive! I have no idea how P & T solved it, especially with the picture of the cube turning yellow before our eyes, bravo!
I mean these folks who go on this show might be well practiced, but I'm still always impressed how people keep it together and even bring these masters on stage with them. I could never do it. I know I'd eat sh-t.
Great performance! I did magic when I was a young person (long ago) and had the opportunity to come up on stage with a very famous magician of that time. Looking out at that huge audience and experiencing that feeling of knowing I had helped entertain them had an incredible impact on me that lasts to this day. I just wanted to say that I hope this, and your other successes, has the same kind of positive impact for you! Well done.
I am so impressed by this young magician! And even more impressed with how Penn and Teller can keep coming up with these clever ways of saying they weren't fooled.
That’s a cool trick! Don’t feel bad for not fooling them, some of the greatest magicians I’ve seen didn’t fool them. These guys have been around this stuff for two times longer than you’ve been alive. Great job
There wasn’t anything remotely good about this. She put it behind her back and rotated it the same way, knowing between the 4 colors by turn. Then she just cubed. This is maybe the dumbest “trick” I have ever seen

@@3dmagictricks The yellow face was not even properly solved, but that actually works better in the trick because there's no telling from the four adjacent faces. - It's easier as a cuber to stick all one colour on a face disregarding the adjacent faces (but still takes practice to do it so quickly as part of this act).
I love when a magic trick is not just a trick, but you actually have to be really good as well. There are a lot of tricks that can be learned in a few minutes. Those are fun and all, but this is not something you can learn without being proficient in cubing as well. Great job
Realizing how this trick is done makes it so much more insanely impressive. This might be the most impressive display of skill I've ever seen in a magical act. Not just solving for yellow, but solving for yellow while acting like you're not solving it, while HOLDING A CONVERSATION and often not even looking at the cube. And having to time it out, leaving it X number of steps unsolved until you put it in Penn's hand, so that it's still showing yellow on multiple sides while it's in there. And having to do those final steps of the solution as slight of hand, making it look natural. Such a tremendous, staggering amount of skill on display.
I've been cubing for a decade and couldn't solve a face as smoothly as you did! It is so difficult whilst talking and nervous in front of a crowd, but it looked so effortless. Amazing job
I'm so impressed! Just like with the Card Mechanic, how you can do that, it's crazy! And such an entertaining act around it. It was a great performance, and although it didn't fool me, I enjoyed every minute of that performance!
At first glance, when you started coloring in the book, I thought you were drawing the exact pattern under Penn’s hand, matching at least the visible sides on the book with the cube itself. I’m very impressed!
It wasnt. It was even quite obvious while she arranges the cube by herself before giving it to penn. I get that nobody wants to break her heart but come on. The sooner she knows this trick wouldnt fool a 12 year old the better she will be at progressing towards magic tricks.
@@JoHn-if6wy well she got me lol I forgot she “scrambled” the cube herself a little - she successfully misdirected me! And the paper changing color was cool to me!
Great job! You have a bright future ahead of you. The most impressive parts actually weren’t cubing or magic, it’s your ability to articulate and present your show in front of the big audience. And most importantly, you have a great attitude. I’m sure you’re do great things in the future. Keep it up! (Btw, I’m a cuber and was a magician too back in the day, and your trick deeply resonates with me.)
Very slick and entertaining presentation. She was very careful and precise in the way that she handled the cube while it was behind her back, so she always knew what colour was facing Penn, and that colour could not be white. While Penn was mixing the cube she was colouring the bottom face in the drawing with a pen carefully chosen from the pot. Setting one face (just the face, not the whole layer) to a single colour is very easy, easy enough to do with only three glances to check, and the way she completed the face with a last turn immediately before she handed the cube to Penn was very neat. I don't know how she made the drawing turn yellow, I'd guess heat from her fingers or from a source inside the pad, which was quite thick.
I am very impressed with your cube handling skills, especially being that close to Penn's ever-watching eyes. Fluid hand movements and Penn distraction moments came together perfectly!
She started rotating on her own, knowing she was only choosing between four colors. She knew where she started rotating it bc she chose where to hold it when she put it behind her back. So she easily knows his color. After that, it is just normal cubing. This is lame af
@@raresaturn She already had the image of the cube drawn in the notebook prior to coming on stage with the white spaces of the bottom of the cube cut out. I have a Rubik’s cube tattoo of which the pattern was taken from a cube magic act, so I always love seeing cube magic make it to the big stage! Awesome trick!
This was great. I think I know the method (only after thinking about it a while) but it's sick and it only means you're insanely good with the cube, the magic and the performance--and if I am wrong, you're even better. Most magicians impress me but do not amaze me. You did both.
I have a pretty good idea of how you did this, and I'm more impressed because of it. Keeping track of the colors and then casually solving the cube while chatting up a giant of a man (literally and figuratively) took nerves of steel. I don't know how the color reveal works, but I've seen enough of those to know that it's some kind of well-known trick.
@@rick5078 I suspected that must be the case when Penn mentioned Martin Lewis. I'm not a student of magic, but I've seen the show enough to work out how Penn encodes things.
I thought one of my markers might be like writing in invisible ink on a delay, and then I just thought she must have huge sack to get the timing right. The idea that it was regular paper they could examine and not an insert being pushed up by a finger definitely surprised me. Dig her confidence.

This young lady is awesome ! ! !
She will be more famous from now on.
Absolutely outstanding Emma, very well done on your smooth moves, confidence and presentation 👏🙏
You had such confidence preforming in front of a crowd that huge. If I was in your shoes, I'd defininately freeze. I hope you keep up with your craft and improve you skill. Absolutely amazing.
This is not magic in its typical form. This is 100% skill that most people do not have and will never have and some easy and basic magic routine. Still impressive and certainly worth respect. The act was smooth and the audience loved it. Flawless performance.
I think all magic is skill. It's not like other magicians are using real magic ;)
I don't think it's 100% skill, the trick with the invisible ink is a magic trick. I suspect the secret is when penn says blown away
@@erikziak1249not trying to discredit i myself think the trick was nice. but there ins't anything difficult in this trick. the most complicated part is 3:00 where you need to solve one face of the cube
It’s cool because we know how it’s done, but can’t replicate it, since we can’t “solve” the cube for the presentation.
@@danwarrjack thank you 🙏
Love the way Penn gives so much encouragement & honour to a young promising and a genius magician.
She's very impressive. Her hair is wonderful too
I just saw this performance for the 1st time and WOW! Was really impressive! I have no idea how P & T solved it, especially with the picture of the cube turning yellow before our eyes, bravo!
Thank you!!
I think the presentation of the performance was even better than the trick itself, very enjoyable to watch.
I'm no magician...but love magic shows..and you young lady definitely fooled me 😊👍👏👏👏👏
I mean these folks who go on this show might be well practiced, but I'm still always impressed how people keep it together and even bring these masters on stage with them.
I love Rubik's cube magic and this was excellent. Well done Emma
That’s a cool trick! Don’t feel bad for not fooling them, some of the greatest magicians I’ve seen didn’t fool them. These guys have been around this stuff for two times longer than you’ve been alive. Great job
She didn't fool them because it was incredibly obvious what she did.
There wasn’t anything remotely good about this. She put it behind her back and rotated it the same way, knowing between the 4 colors by turn. Then she just cubed. This is maybe the dumbest “trick” I have ever seen
@@timcarter817 Completely agree. The only thing she was good at was casually putting the yellow on the bottom while talking to Penn.
@@ricardovela2455 How did she make the yellow appear at 4:45?
@@TommonSensePro She already had the image of the cube drawn in the notebook prior to coming on stage with the white spaces of the bottom of the cube cut out. Then, with her thumb, she slowly slid a piece of paper that had been colored yellow up into view through the cut out holes. She had a paper for all 4 possible colors. Notice, she rotates the cube so white is not a possibility, as that would ruin the trick.
Skill with Rubix Cubes is amazing to watch. Great job.
The grandmother comment made me snort laugh. LOL My son is OBSESSED with his Rubik's Cube. He will love this video!
That is amazing!! That's one of the best magic tricks I have ever seen on the show!!
I kept along with the trick, but the insane smoothness and confidence is astounding. Young lady you have an incredible career in magic ahead of you and dont let anyone tell you otherwise... 10/10 performance!
I have no idea how this trick worked. You rock!!
Huge respect for inviting one of the most intense magic detectives on stage to view it up close.
😅😅
Yeah! That means quite a lot.
Recently at my workplace I've been asked to speak directly to my crew. I'm so nervous. I'm bringing your confidence to the forefront to channel myself. Smile Big. Smile Big. :)
Indeed. Someone with less confidence in themselves chooses Brooke to be the assistant.
Emma, your poise and dedication was unrivaled and it was great to see you get the applause that you rightfully deserve. Don’t ever let anyone stand in the way of your passions!
The thing With cube magic is: the trick is solving the cube.
you mean the one side
@@3dmagictricks The yellow face was not even properly solved, but that actually works better in the trick because there's no telling from the four adjacent faces. - It's easier as a cuber to stick all one colour on a face disregarding the adjacent faces (but still takes practice to do it so quickly as part of this act).
Counting the flips at the beginning, easy. Solving the singular side while talking to Penn...nicely done =)
I love when a magic trick is not just a trick, but you actually have to be really good as well. There are a lot of tricks that can be learned in a few minutes. Those are fun and all, but this is not something you can learn without being proficient in cubing as well. Great job
As a magicians friend I was explained this and yes it requires significant concentration and genius
Bravo Emma!!!
Such a tremendous, staggering amount of skill on display.
how excellent to be so composed on stage at that age
I've been cubing for a decade and couldn't solve a face as smoothly as you did! It is so difficult whilst talking and nervous in front of a crowd, but it looked so effortless. Amazing job
I'm so impressed! Just like with the Card Mechanic, how you can do that, it's crazy! And such an entertaining act around it. It was a great performance, and although it didn't fool me, I enjoyed every minute of that performance!
Keep going, Emma, and keep enjoying yourself along the way
she has such a great stage presence. calm and engaging and quick on her feet interacting with Penn
i like that you tore the page out and handed it to him, without that, i would've had too many doubts.
Emma the confidence !! 👏🏼👏🏼🙌🏼
What a delight to see your magic! Excellent!
At first glance, when you started coloring in the book, I thought you were drawing the exact pattern under Penn’s hand, matching at least the visible sides on the book with the cube itself. I’m very impressed!
Oh boy, Emma, this routine was mesmerizing. You have a great career ahead of you.
We live in NYC and we'll have to look around and come see you.
the magic of chemistry! i mean, with the audience, of course. 😇
Amazing! I love cube magic and this routine was brilliant
I appreciated the trick and thought it was great. Keep up the good work. Your stage presence is awesome.
That young lady has a career in magic.
Keep at it, Emma; you've got a very bright future ahead of you.
Emma's delivery is polished like bright chrome! ❤
Love this show and this trick was freaking insane.
Been doing magic for long long time now
This was incredibly impressive
You have a great future ahead with that kind of skill
Amazing! 👍😎
Outstanding and entertaining. I hope to see more of your magic!! Fantastic stuff :D
Wow! amazing performance, I'm always fascinated by young magicians performing on an adult stage.
I love when younger people appear on the show, magic is something that has to exist forever is so much fun
He repeated the word "genius" SEVERAL times. You know what, he's right. That was amazing.
This is awesome. I was smiling the whole time. Great work !
I am very impressed with your cube handling skills, especially being that close to Penn's ever-watching eyes. Fluid hand movements and Penn distraction moments came together perfectly!
Yeah, incredible she could rotate it where only 4 possible colors and count how many times she rotated it 🙄
She started rotating on her own, knowing she was only choosing between four colors. She knew where she started rotating it bc she chose where to hold it when she put it behind her back. So she easily knows his color.
After that, it is just normal cubing. This is lame af
@@timcarter817 How did she make the colour appear?
@@raresaturn try reading what I said slower this time, doofus

4:10 "now Penn" and tosses the marker over her shoulder lmao one of my favorite little moments. This was a blast and I watched it twice, not for the trick, but for the performance and confidence. Wow! So much fun. Geeze, just performing for them is an award all its own.
I mean, the trick was pretty obvious, but she's in the right track with how she kept the audience entertained and built the trick.
I couldn’t figure it out 😂
I couldn’t figure it out 😂
Absolutely amazing! Love seeing fresh magic like this over the same thing time and again
I have a Rubik’s cube tattoo of which the pattern was taken from a cube magic act, so I always love seeing cube magic make it to the big stage! Awesome trick!
That’s so awesome!
I don't know why RUclips recommended this to me but I am so glad, this was such a joy to watch! You're amazing!!
@@marissavillalobos thank you marissa!
Awesome performance. You definitely fooled me😂👍
You did a great job not only with the trick but with the keeping the audience captivated
This was great. I think I know the method (only after thinking about it a while) but it's sick and it only means you're insanely good with the cube, the magic and the performance--and if I am wrong, you're even better. Most magicians impress me but do not amaze me. You did both.
I am 99% sure I know how this trick is done, and I think they makes me even more impressed. Bravo
This is the type of trick that you could explain what you're doing as you're doing it, and it would still be impressive.
Emma is so sweet. Identifying yellow as the chosen colour was pretty easy. However the rest was very clever indeed!
I have a pretty good idea of how you did this, and I'm more impressed because of it. Keeping track of the colors and then casually solving the cube while chatting up a giant of a man (literally and figuratively) took nerves of steel. I don't know how the color reveal works, but I've seen enough of those to know that it's some kind of well-known trick.
martin lewis's cardiographic is the trick used. and its wonderfully executed too.
@@seancrandall1291 I thought the exact same, her demeanor seemed to change a tiny bit right at that moment as well.
Thoroughly impressed and entertained the entire time. That’s real magic, right there. You were clearly born for the stage! 🙂
Congratulations on a great trick & performance. I really enjoyed that.
