Each color had different scratch marks on the cub and by feel she knew which color was selected like a blind person would read it.

If I had to guess and try to ruin the magic, she did the following: 1) keep track of which face she started on when she puts the cube behind her back and start counting rotations while she waits for her assistant to pick a color 2) divide the number of rotations by 4 and the remainder will tell you which color it is 3) quickly solve just the top layer of the cube while talking to the assistant/audience 4) ~this is the part where I'm really guessing~ flip to a specific page (she would have one for each possible color) based on whichever color was picked and start filling in all the colors that were not picked 5) ~still guessing~ after showing the assistant/audience that you "forgot" their correct color, activate the (probably heat sensitive) "invisible" colored ink and reveal the cube face

She knows which color she starts flipping on, and the order they will flip into. So she knows which color he chooses, and just adapts her trick.

I mean great presentation but ultimately she just partially solved a rubix cube, not exactly a trick. Penn was playing along choosing yellow getting a hint from the yellow notebook and she makes sure to have a look at the colour Penn chooses when she turns around fully to "show the audience" and also have a look up at the big screen while she was at it. Like I said great presentation but ultimately it ain't a trick, or at least not a high level trick, I'm sure she's fooled a younger audience with it for sure.

Well, i just had my mind blown. Awesome trick.

Poise and presentation is what struck me first. She is like a seasoned pro but only 18. I wish I could present that way in front of others at more than twice her age lol. She may not have fooled P&T but she fooled me. Great job!

The first part was easy. Just count how many times you spin it and you know what color you end up on.

An uncle of mine did some time back in the seventies. By the time he was released he could do the Rubik's Cube in a minute and 20 seconds. That was a big deal back then.

The real trick is stopping Mr Penn from dropping the cube and ruining the trick😂

Good job. Very good job, for the last 95% of the trick. But it was very easy to tell you were counting the turns and simply remembered yellow the whole time. So, I kinda knew yellow was the bottom face the whole time… The real trick is to fool us in that first ‘behind the back’ scene - in a fully convincing way. The invisible ink… the graduation part… yeah, that meant maybe there were six separately prepared sheets for each colour? Catalyzed by a dummy pen or your finger? Maybe that’s the trick there?? The cube, didn’t seem truly drawn real-time by you… so it was a tip-off… : )

Okay Im a cuber and Im also a magician. I would tell you that this is a very beautiful trick. The subtleties and principles you use here is very impressive. And I know that youre a cuber so you know yellow and white are not adjecent xdd. But overall this is so much more beautiful and cunnning. Good Job. The use of cube 3 by Steven Brundage is very briliant too. It hides everything good job.
