      Because facing the truth is hard to look at. Especially when you have been trying to hide it from yourself and others. People don't like to own up to their hurts and when they hurt others or even heal. They rather continue to ignore it then keep living but eventually you have to

      I think because she gets up close and personal with the root of their issue and they don't like that. I heard her comment once that people don't expect the intensity of what she does for them so it is a shock. Then internally they have to decide to swim or get out of it.

    Iyanla said that at the end! People are easily willing to diminish and dismiss women who are well trained and qualified to do what they do, whereas if someone with a different color/gender/training (or lack thereof) does it, no questions are asked. A sad, but very true statement

      Tamar has childhood trauma and PTSD. Why didn’t Iyanla speak about this without bringing up her being molested 🤔 it doesn’t matter who Tamar disrespects. She’s not a child. She literally said “what about me-what about my feelings. What about how I feel. No one ever cares about how I feel” or something like that. This only shows how mentally unstable and damaged she was.
      Tamar even apologized to her sisters and Traci thought it wasn’t sincere enough...

    I have the utmost respect for Ms. Vanzant. I first learned of her when she became the 2nd life coach on season 2 of a reality show called Starting Over in 2004, and the couples boot camp 2005. All 3 of the life coaches were amazing. Their expertise and techniques not only helped the women and couples they worked with, but they also helped me. Ms. Vanzant loved working with the men. She had a natural repour with them. I remember Simon in particular from the couples boot camp. He had a lot going on with him. Ms. Vanzant reached him in many ways. The coaches were serious, qualified in their fields and did not play. Learned a lot from that show. Became a follower of Ms. Vanzant. She is the real deal.

  • @TheeCoachg

    As someone going to school to be a therapist,integrating spirituality in her work is mandatory for Black People. I personally have a therapist and it works for me HOWEVER a majority of black folks issues are rooted in confusion of spirituality. This is by no means a racist statement but its easier for White ppl to lack empathy imo. Black ppl are raised and constantly taught to be compassion and empathetic and like family,White ppl can easily separate logic and emotion with no problem and thats a task for us. When Iyanla says she had to make that girl mad,she is right because that baby was denial about her pain. She forced herself to accept being kidnapped and for the greater good suppressed her anger over it. Even on the show,the biological mom wanted it her way but the kidnapped mom was manipulating through jail communication then the day and his way...nobody cared about what she wanted and Iyanla knew that.

    • @MarquesTheProducer
      @MarquesTheProducer 3 года назад

      I can agree. It’s important that black people have black therapists. Accountability is important and I’m glad Tamar owned up to it, however, people still expect Tamar to be accountable for what WEtv does. Iyanla triggered Tamar by bringing up her molestation. That’s why Tamar went off on Iyanla. She suffers from childhood trauma so it should only make sense 🤷🏽‍♂️ Iyanla is literally using the fact that she’s an elder against Tamar...being an elder means nothing. I get disrespected by my parents all of the time and they make it seem like because they’re elders, it’s okay. The same applies to Tamar. Tamar was her respectful of Iyanla the first half of the episode. I don’t think I seen her speak about childhood trauma which is one of the leading factors in the relationship of The Braxtons. Tamar is so childish obviously because of the way she was raised. She was abused, molested, spoiled, and mentally broken (because of her mother/father) ...

    Iyanla you're the best I wish I could have you to help me but I don't want to come on TV I heard TV can add 25 lbs. I love you I watch your shows alot and they still help me you remind me of my favorite aunt and I was her favorite niece.

    Have folks ever seen her show? What do people expect when they call her for help? I’d imagine they don’t even show the real grime of it all. It’s painful for sure, but be ready to be stripped and know the more you resist, the harder it will be. Get well!

    I question Dr. Phil and everyone else who I think is off. I don't know what type of feedback you have experienced. You have done some great things in helping people. That does not mean people will always agree. All the education in the World does not mean you cannot say or do something wrong or something which others will not agree. People will always have an opinion about those whose professions put them in the public eye. It is not about you being a woman or a black woman. Use your own advice to others. Do what you do. Most of the time people are helped by you.

    Talking about Tamar, Both the Pace sister and Iyanla both said they will pray for her and what goes around comes around...it came around. She disrespected both elders.

    So much to learn from Iyanla. Unless you identify and face your demons you will continue on the downward spiral. I like her positive brutality. It humbles you, and only then, can you own up and reinvent yourself.
