When I was 15 I went and saw DMX live back 98. He was the first man that I saw cry. Not the man that I saw cry in public. But rather the first grown man that I saw cry.
That did a lot for me. It was am eye-opening moment. To see the toughest dude in the rap game shed tears and still be seen as a man.
    RIP Earl Simmons

He was such a passionate soul. You can tell his pain ran deep and situations like you’re sharing shows it. But even as troubled as his life was, his spirituality carried him. A lot of people wouldn’t have made it through his situation. Much Love to brother DMX, even though it’s sad to see him go... I’m glad that he can finally find peace.

I think it's high time we admit "we don't know God" like we think we do! And there is no established pattern we can DICTATE and ask him to "step in and follow". For God uses "whom so ever he chooses" and the SPIRITUAL AMONG US ought to recognize the anointing - without attempting to "chasten and correct it" while it MOVES in front of our face! Missing it is one thing, and trying to glaze over the fact you did is another. With great humility and respect - I hold the work of Iyanla Vanzant! She is gifted and anointed as well. But let's be clear: we are but "a vessel" and God himself directs the flow. We are to "flow with it" if in fact we seek his wonders to be performed. Nobody dictates the flow of "spirit" but "spirit". You can if you choose but you will only get "your results" not "spirits". So let us strive for that which will serve us all.

HE WAS A MC / MASTER OF CEREMONIES OF ONE OF OUR ADOS NARRATIVES FROM THE FRONTLINES OF THE HOOD!!!

DMX FOUND A HIPHOP NICHE STRUCTURE OF GAGSTER RAP!!!
DMX PROFITED, WORKED AND FLOURISHED IN THIS GENRE OF THE WHITE GAZE MUSIC BUSINESS!!! CO-OPING AND SELLING OUR RAGE BACK TO US!!!
I BELIEVE THIS NOT ONLY PERPETUATE THE RACISM OF OUR BLACK HISTORY AND EXPERIENCES THROUGH STEREOTYPES OF OF THE LOVE /HATE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN WHITE SUPREMACY!!!
WHITE AMERIKKKA HAS ALWAYS HAD A FETISH /SADOMASOCHISTIC , SOCIOECONOMICAL AND POLITICAL INSIDIOUS PLEASURE OF OUR EXPRESSIONS IN MUSIC, ART, AND CULTURE !!!
BUT ALSO PERPETUITIES THE WHITE SUPREMACY AGENDA AND THE EPITOME OF COGNITIVE DISSONANCE IN HIPHOP MUSIC AND ETC!!!
THE ICONIC DMX WAS A STORYTELLER OF OUR PATHOS, TRAUMA, DRAMA
WE WATCH SONG AFTER VIDEOS AFTER NEWS CLICKS ABOUT HIS BIKER GAGSTER AREA BOYS IN NYC!!!
WE SAW GLIMPSES OF HIM BEING A JOYFUL DEVOTED FATHER AND HAPPY FAMILY MAN!!!
WE ALL KNOW A MAN LIKE HIM!!! HE WAS NOT PERFECT, HE WAS FLAWED AND BRUTALLY HONEST WITH HIS GIFT AS A WORDSMITH!!!
HE SPOKE FRIM HIS HEART JUST LIKE OUR FAMILY OWN ADOS MANCHILDS, NATIVE SONS, MENS, MENFOLK, FATHERS, UNCLES, COUSINS, BROTHERS, SONS & FRIEND OF THE FAMILY DUALITIES IN BLACK MEN CONSCIOUSNESSES,
DMX LIVED THE LIFESTYLES OF THE RICH AND FAMOUS IN A SNARLING MAD, BLACK MAN'S FACE!!!
WE WHO GREW UP OBSERVED HIM TRYING TO OVERCOME GROWING UP IN THE SYSTEMATIC RACIST SOCIETY ESPECIALLY TOWARD BLACK MALES!!! WITH ITS SCHOOLS TO PRISON PIPELINE, DOUBLE STANDARDS IN THE INJUSTICES SYSTEM AND DOES NOT BELIEVE IN THE OUR STRUGGLES, TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS DESERVE REPARATIONS!!!
BUT HE STILL WANTED, NEEDED AND SEEKED OUT HELP FOR HIS MENTAL ILLNESSES OF DEPRESSION, SUBSTANCE AND SEXUAL ABUSE TO FIX HIS LIFE!!!
HE OFTEN APPEARED TO BE A ANGRY BLACK MAN, UNSTABLE AND DYSFUNCTIONAL!!!
AND YET LOVING, LAUGHING AND LIVING FOR THE SEX, DRUGS AND ROCK AND ROLL OF A ROCKSTAR!!!
HE IS WE!!! WE IS HE!!!
MAY DMX BE BLESSED TO TRANSITION TO A PLACE OF REST AND PEACE !!!

He was given crack mixed in his marijuana as a child by the person he looked up to. Learning this is just too sad. But it made me understand that it wasn't something he just messed around with during his career. He had never known another way of relief...He knew God and im grateful for that. Rest in Love Earl

I watched that episode with DMX on Fix my life and one thing I notice more than anything else and that I notice again now with all the tributes pictures and videos that his love ones and fans are showing of him on social media is that he was a man a human being that Loved So Fiercely! He wasn't loved enough by those who raised him with the exception of his grandmother she was his saving grace. But X he is a man who always wanted to be Loved and give Love in return. I know this for sure this is why I always resonated with X I brought his first album when i was 16 years old and im not a person who has been through the kind of extremes that this man has but I can relate to the anger he felt the loneliness he felt the displacement cause I experience those things in my life as well during that time and i would listen to his words and his prayers on that album because his love is what brought me through. God Bless this King I don't care what this man did or didn't do X will always be pure perfection to me because despite how life and people treated him. He Valued Himself Enough ! To Do Right By Himself !!!!! by being 100% authentically himself. And always gave God his due along the way. Cause in the end.... That's the only thing that truly matters the relationship with your Self and the relationship with the God you serve. RIP to DMX peace love light and healing to his family. Love ones and his fans
