I saw quick progress by collecting the trash, dishes, laundry, things with a home and things without a home. I still need to work on relocating 3 items and decluttering 3 items. We love your videos!
I taught my kids to do laundry. They learned sorting very, very young. Pushing buttons was exciting to them. We did it all together, folding and putting away. My sons are adults who can cook, clean, and do their own laundry without complaining. Delegating any job is all good and well, but kids will do it without a problem if Mom is doing her basket at the same time. Who can get it done first?
I do this with my 5 children. It's so much more enjoyable to do it all together, and I found that my children are happy to help if they are encouraged along the way. 😊
Love this! Gives me hope for the future 🙏🏽 Since my young girls, 6 and 8, have started folding their own clothes, I found that they are more likely to put them away where they belong
My house is decluttered however had illness in the house and low energy levels. Things are massively bad but want to reset a bit so I'm going to do this now thanks for the motivation xx
Great advice! I love how you know first hand the “danger” of clutter. It really does effect our mood and we end up wasting time and money on stuff we barely use.
I always have everything covered so to everyone else my home is always super clean. But the things without a home category has been driving me nuts for the last year since moving.😂 My goal this summer is to make sure everything gets a home no matter how small the items. Sometimes I tell my spouse that I just want to get a dumpster truck and toss everything we own. He like good grief😮.
Girl!! YES!!! I have SO BEEN THERE!!! Finding homes for all the teeny things is such a pain!!! Just remember, "where would I use this item most often?" If the answer is kitchen, it goes in the kitchen and so on!! Also, declutter whatever you forgot you even had or haven't reached for in months! Good luck!! Let me know how it goes!
I love all of your videos and thoughtful content! I completely agree - trash, dishes, laundry and clear kitchen counters are my daily non-negotables! All part of daily home reset!
Great tips for reclaiming spaces! I recently moved into my Granny Flat, and am in the finding places phase. Had my daughter make me a chart for chores, as i enjoyed being part of the family flow (3 tweens / teen still at home) and found it helped keep me on track
Great advice! I've been binge watching your videos and they are so helpful! This past weekend, I decluttered my kitchen and enclosed patio! Hubby took a huge donation load to the Goodwill. I can't wait to implement todays video advice. I finally feel motivated again. Thank you! ❤😊
I pretty much do this if I want a quick tidy. The things without a home is the hardest thing to deal with and those just end up being thrown in a corner! 😂 And I have trouble getting the stuff out of the house.
And everybody can help in the house including the husband ,and the children they can clean there own room starting at age 5 ,early you teach them everything in life and older they will be responsable .
I have a suggestion: why not to require the kids and husband to put used clothes in a laundry basket directly instead of everywhere on the floor? It saves time and looks tidy.
Take a look at Dana K White’s channel. She has the most effective, “no-mess” method. Her book, Decluttering at the Speed of Light, is the best book I’ve ever read to get your home in order. And it’s a very quick read. I tried everything before and her method finally worked.
my laundry is in one place unless one of my cats maks=es a mess but even then i clean it up and put in washing machine. I never found the recipe for the dishwasher cleaner
Why not put dirty clothes in the hamper when you take them off, Put dirty dishes in the dish washer, Touch something one time and be done. It takes 10 seconds. If you are wasting a whole day cleaning up the mess you need new habits. I'd rather be doing something fun.
The video is all about creating new habits! Not everyone has a system down to keep their homes clean. And I more than anyone know how unexpected life events or the birth of a baby can turn your house upside down before you know it!
Cleaning your house is never a waste of time in my opinion! But I know how hard it is when you don't have much time...that's why this method is so perfect. It allows you to do a LITTLE every day, broken into categories!!
I meant the piles. Just put it away. I work nine hour days then have to do these things. I agree with the ladies that said heck no! I wish all I had to do was walk around piles in my house but don’t touch or do anything with them, that is what seems like busy work. I usually agree with most you say but not this one.

Girl I've tried for YEARS!!!!
I am trying to do this piles every where here. I am a workaholic; however buy the time I get home I am to tired to clean my home

That can be exhausting!! But remember only a few minutes a day can make a positive difference!

Thanks for watching, Sandra!
cats do not make as many messes as kids
They also come potty trained

Seems like a waste of time… this is nit something I’m going to do. I work 9 hour days so this won’t work for me.
