    I saw quick progress by collecting the trash, dishes, laundry, things with a home and things without a home. I still need to work on relocating 3 items and decluttering 3 items. We love your videos!

    I taught my kids to do laundry. They learned sorting very, very young. Pushing buttons was exciting to them. We did it all together, folding and putting away. My sons are adults who can cook, clean, and do their own laundry without complaining. Delegating any job is all good and well, but kids will do it without a problem if Mom is doing her basket at the same time. Who can get it done first?

      I do this with my 5 children. It's so much more enjoyable to do it all together, and I found that my children are happy to help if they are encouraged along the way. 😊

      Since my young girls, 6 and 8, have started folding their own clothes, I found that they are more likely to put them away where they belong

    Great advice! I love how you know first hand the “danger” of clutter. It really does effect our mood and we end up wasting time and money on stuff we barely use.

    I always have everything covered so to everyone else my home is always super clean. But the things without a home category has been driving me nuts for the last year since moving.😂 My goal this summer is to make sure everything gets a home no matter how small the items. Sometimes I tell my spouse that I just want to get a dumpster truck and toss everything we own. He like good grief😮.

      Girl!! YES!!! I have SO BEEN THERE!!! Finding homes for all the teeny things is such a pain!!! Just remember, "where would I use this item most often?" If the answer is kitchen, it goes in the kitchen and so on!! Also, declutter whatever you forgot you even had or haven't reached for in months! Good luck!! Let me know how it goes!

    Great tips for reclaiming spaces! I recently moved into my Granny Flat, and am in the finding places phase. Had my daughter make me a chart for chores, as i enjoyed being part of the family flow (3 tweens / teen still at home) and found it helped keep me on track

    Great advice! I've been binge watching your videos and they are so helpful! This past weekend, I decluttered my kitchen and enclosed patio! Hubby took a huge donation load to the Goodwill. I can't wait to implement todays video advice. I finally feel motivated again. Thank you! ❤😊

      Take a look at Dana K White’s channel. She has the most effective, “no-mess” method. Her book, Decluttering at the Speed of Light, is the best book I’ve ever read to get your home in order. And it’s a very quick read.
      I tried everything before and her method finally worked.

    Why not put dirty clothes in the hamper when you take them off,
    Put dirty dishes in the dish washer,
    Touch something one time and be done. It takes 10 seconds. If you are wasting a whole day cleaning up the mess you need new habits.
    I'd rather be doing something fun.

    • @FancyThatwithCandice
      @FancyThatwithCandice  Год назад +1

      The video is all about creating new habits! Not everyone has a system down to keep their homes clean. And I more than anyone know how unexpected life events or the birth of a baby can turn your house upside down before you know it!

    • @FancyThatwithCandice
      @FancyThatwithCandice  Год назад +1

      Cleaning your house is never a waste of time in my opinion! But I know how hard it is when you don't have much time...that's why this method is so perfect. It allows you to do a LITTLE every day, broken into categories!!

    • @nancyfeeser4653
      @nancyfeeser4653 Год назад +1

      I meant the piles. Just put it away. I work nine hour days then have to do these things. I agree with the ladies that said heck no! I wish all I had to do was walk around piles in my house but don’t touch or do anything with them, that is what seems like busy work. I usually agree with most you say but not this one.
