Your point on the New World Translation reminded me of something I've thought was strange for a while now. They're willing to reject all the other Bible translations and say they translate things wrong. They'll even use material like the dead sea scrolls as a basis to remove later insertions. My PIMI sister even went so far as to call all other translations "tainted". But they never question the canon these Bibles use. The New World Translation has the same canon as any other protestant Bible even though it only began to solidify after the first century, when they would say that apostasy had at least begun to set in. Then some of the accepted books were removed by other parts of "apostate Christianity" centuries later. They're putting a lot of faith in "apostate Christianity" to trust the canon established by it.
Yes, and while, on the one hand, they affirm that God did preserve the "correct" text of the Holy scriptures, on the other hand, they claim that the name Jehova initially was written in the Greek scriptures (thus justifying their inserting it in the NWT) but, was later removed by scribes who copied the original texts. One can only wonder how and why God would not prevent this from happening...🤔😏
I've recently started watching exJW channels and it's been such a big help in healing from the trauma of being a born-in JW. I never got baptized because I knew I wouldn't be able to live a perfect life and I could never understand and agree with shunning family. I was finally able to distance myself in my 20s from this cult but still suffered from mental, emotional and sexual abuse aka religious trauma, something I didn't know was a thing. I want to say thank you for your courage in speaking out and exposing this "religion" for the grotesque cult that it really is. 👏👏👏👏👏💜💜

I never thought there were others that felt the way I did and had doubts about what they were being taught. Realizing I was raised in a cult has been the biggest WTF!? I've ever experienced at almost 50 yrs old. But learning the truth about the "truth" has made me feel lighter. I've been able to let go of residual guilt and fear that I was steeped in as a child. The last conversation I had with an elder, he and his wife came to my door with flowers. I asked him how he became an elder, was he chosen through holy spirit? To which his wife said YES! I was watching him. He looked at her in shock and said no I wasn't. So I said, or did you become an elder because you followed the requirements of Timothy? He admitted that was why. So I said then who chose the COBE, who chose the CO, who made the choice of the 8 GB? Then I showed them the Feb 2017 WT showing they are not inspired, which means that God doesn't talk to them. So if they give false direction from the top, and we follow it as we are told, we are following men and not God. His wife was stunned. He had to pull her off my porch...Not a one of them has ever come back. Mind you, we do have them all blocked on our phones and social media. We put a no trespassing sign on the porch. Then CV came and they stopped all meetings just months after. We did get a letter last summer with no return name but my husband could see it was from them, it was the PO Box # of the hall but no name. He put return to sender on it and mailed it back.🤣

What I like about many of your videos is that you are analytical, logical and present clear reasonings concerning the topics you speak about. This often helps me think of points to raise when I have discussions with my JW family. Make this your aim, to equip people with rational ways to interact and converse and promote critical thought with current JWs and you won't go wrong. Some exJWs give themselves over to bitterness and then foolish talk or behavior which is clearly seen in their videos and this will turn off the on the fence JWs. Crisis of Conscience, page 157 states there has to be at least two thirds majority vote from the governing body to make a change. If there are 9 on the body, and say 6 show up to vote on the change, than all 6 present would have to agree, in order to make the change (this would be the two-thirds of the total number of members.)

If not the person has disassociated themselves. So this 'NON JUDICIAL' Committee actually JUDGES whether the person is repentant or not. If not they say that the person disassociated themselves (Not DF though the same outcome. Shunning). Therefore IT IS IN FACT A JUDICIAL COMMITTEE! So they Lied! And it is proven in the very paragraph they wrote. The reason they Lie is so they can tell Non JWs & authorities... "We don't DF people for accepting Blood, joining the Military, or joining another Religion". They lie for legal reasons in this case.
I don't know which video clip I saw (yours or someone else's) but in that clip the Governing Body member said that they will be Kings and Priests reigning with Christ and only when they get to heaven they will be Priests. This shows that they now view themselves as Kings only lacking a priestly position that "they will recieve when they get to heaven." The Governing Body are Jehovah's Witnesses King 😕

Its presumptuous of them to think of themselves as kings already. In 2014 there was a talk stating that former GB members who had died faithful were now sitting on thrones in heaven as kings. However, earlier In 2013 there had been new light regarding the appointment of the FDS over "all the Master's belongings", which refers to their being rewarded with authority as kings in the Messianic Kingdom. That date is FUTURE, when Jesus supposedly returns. So how can the GB be kings already, whether on earth or in heaven, when (according to their own "new light") they have not received that final appointment from Jesus yet ?

It seems that most other Christian denominations I have encountered don't believe that being kings involves one class of Christian actually ruling over another class as part of a government like the jws do. There are scriptures that make it sound like this is the case, but also those that make it sound like something else. I wonder if you could include a comment in your video about the New Jerusalem (NJ) in the book of Revelation. We were taught that the NJ represents the Lambs bride (and along with Jesus makes up the government) and it comes down out of heaven to the Earth (figuratively) after Armageddon. We were told that the only ones in it are literally 144,000 anointed co-rulers and that blessings flow OUT of the city to benefit mankind. However when you read the verses it says that the gates are never closed and that the nations flow INTO the city . The waters of life and the trees for healing are INSIDE the city not outside. Only the "dogs" and filthy, etc, remain outside the gates. So my question is: what does this mean for the teaching that only 144,000 will rule over everyone? (If NJ represents the government and everyone is invited into it there is no one to rule over) Read chapters 42 and 43 of the Revelation Grand Climax book to see how they misrepresent what the scriptures actually say.

So, just to be clear, they are willing to die based on a group of men saying “that segment of scripture is not an illustration like the illustrations around them, it’s actually a prophecy talking about us”! Further on in Jackson’s testimony, he is questioned about corporal punishment and goes on to it’s not a physical thing.When I was in it was expected of you to take your kids out into the small room and beat them.The elders lead the way in this beating their kids harder.Have things changed , Jackson would remember kids getting whacked at the meetings so was it another untruth?

Religions in general can be very compilated. Over time, I listed to Many Jews, Arabs, (men and women) about their beliefs of what they thought the Bible says. These both Christians and non-Christians, and for some reason none of them agreed with Jehovah's Witness. A lot of these guys told me we don't force people to come to us it should be a free choice.

If you are wondering about correct translation, you should look at the Septuagint. The last conversation I had with an elder, he and his wife came to my door with flowers. I asked him how he became an elder, was he chosen through holy spirit? To which his wife said YES! I was watching him. He looked at her in shock and said no I wasn't. So I said, or did you become an elder because you followed the requirements of Timothy?
He admitted that was why. So I said then who chose the COBE, who chose the CO, who made the choice of the 8 GB?
Then I showed them the Feb 2017 WT showing they are not inspired, which means that God doesn't talk to them. So if they give false direction from the top, and we follow it as we are told, we are following men and not God. His wife was stunned. He had to pull her off my porch...Not a one of them has ever come back. Mind you, we do have them all blocked on our phones and social media. We put a no trespassing sign on the porch. Then CV came and they stopped all meetings just months after.
We did get a letter last summer with no return name but my husband could see it was from them, it was the PO Box # of the hall but no name. He put return to sender on it and mailed it back.🤣

Hey. The strangest quote from an official watchtower publication I found throughout their history was when sometime pre '70s they said that God was communicating with them through angels, but that that were not sure how the Angels were communicating with them.
The Revelation Grand Climax book also said that anointed Christians who have been resurrected to heavenly life may be communicating truths to the anointed on Earth !

Make this your aim, to equip people with rational ways to interact and converse and promote critical thought with current JWs and you won't go wrong. Some exJWs give themselves over to bitterness and then foolish talk or behavior which is clearly seen in their videos and this will turn off the on the fence JWs. Crisis of Conscience, page 157 states there has to be at least two thirds majority vote from the governing body to make a change. If there are 9 on the body, and say 6 show up to vote on the change, than all 6 present would have to agree, in order to make the change (this would be the two-thirds of the total number of members.)

If not the person has disassociated themselves. So this 'NON JUDICIAL' Committee actually JUDGES whether the person is repentant or not. If not they say that the person disassociated themselves (Not DF though the same outcome. Shunning). Therefore IT IS IN FACT A JUDICIAL COMMITTEE! So they Lied! And it is proven in the very paragraph they wrote. The reason they Lie is so they can tell Non JWs & authorities... "We don't DF people for accepting Blood, joining the Military, or joining another Religion". They lie for legal reasons in this case.

I don't know which video clip I saw (yours or someone else's) but in that clip the Governing Body member said that they will be Kings and Priests reigning with Christ and only when they get to heaven they will be Priests. This shows that they now view themselves as Kings only lacking a priestly position that "they will recieve when they get to heaven."

Its presumptuous of them to think of themselves as kings already. In 2014 there was a talk stating that former GB members who had died faithful were now sitting on thrones in heaven as kings. However, earlier In 2013 there had been new light regarding the appointment of the FDS over "all the Master's belongings", which refers to their being rewarded with authority as kings in the Messianic Kingdom. That date is FUTURE, when Jesus supposedly returns. So how can the GB be kings already, whether on earth or in heaven, when (according to their own "new light") they have not received that final appointment from Jesus yet ?

It seems that most other Christian denominations I have encountered don't believe that being kings involves one class of Christian actually ruling over another class as part of a government like the jws do. There are scriptures that make it sound like this is the case, but also those that make it sound like something else. I wonder if you could include a comment in your video about the New Jerusalem (NJ) in the book of Revelation. We were taught that the NJ represents the Lambs bride (and along with Jesus makes up the government) and it comes down out of heaven to the Earth (figuratively) after Armageddon. We were told that the only ones in it are literally 144,000 anointed co-rulers and that blessings flow OUT of the city to benefit mankind. However when you read the verses it says that the gates are never closed and that the nations flow INTO the city . The waters of life and the trees for healing are INSIDE the city not outside. Only the "dogs" and filthy, etc, remain outside the gates. So my question is: what does this mean for the teaching that only 144,000 will rule over everyone? (If NJ represents the government and everyone is invited into it there is no one to rule over) Read chapters 42 and 43 of the Revelation Grand Climax book to see how they misrepresent what the scriptures actually say.

So, just to be clear, they are willing to die based on a group of men saying “that segment of scripture is not an illustration like the illustrations around them, it’s actually a prophecy talking about us”! It’s that simple.

I was a practicing Church of England member for a number of years but became disillusioned with scripture content and interpretation. Hey welcome to the thunder dome and glad you enjoyed. The elders are appointed by the equivalent of a regional manager called a circuit overseer. The circut overseer is appointed by the equivalent of a branch manager who are in turn appoint by the Governing Body. Basically it all goes back to them

The last Watchtower President to have full control was Nathan Knorr and he fought but lost this power; albeit he was terminally ill during this fight to maintain absolute power (a great time for a coup).
Further on in Jackson’s testimony, he is questioned about corporal punishment and goes on to it’s not a physical thing.When I was in it was expected of you to take your kids out into the small room and beat them.The elders lead the way in this beating their kids harder.Have things changed , Jackson would remember kids getting whacked at the meetings so was it another untruth?

the only problem for Jehovah's Witnesses is not to take as an example what Jesus instituted in their memory, which was to eat and drink the emblems in the Lord's Supper! for it is one baptism and one hope of eternal life. Ephesians 4: 4-6 note 4- There is one body and one spirit, just as you were called in a hope to which you were called; 5- one Lord, one faith and one baptism; 6- God, unique and Father of all, who is above all, and through all and in all.

Religions in general can be very compilated. Over time, I listed to Many Jews, Arabs, (men and women) about their beliefs of what they thought the Bible says. These both Christians and non-Christians, and for some reason none of them agreed with Jehovah's Witness. A lot of these guys told me we don't force people to come to us it should be a free choice.
