- Do you want to know how to fix the solid white light on the ps4 and ps4 pro console? This is very easy to do. There maybe an issue with no video signal, the wrong resolution or the console may have froze when it's shutting down or gaming! There was an issue in Warzone when playing the game would freeze and you have to unplug the ps4 from the back of the console and then plug it back in! Also, unplug your TV for about 1 to 2 minutes to power cycle both the ps4 and tv incase there is an HDCP issue. Also, you can try powering your PS4 into the safe mode menu. ...

I opened it up, cleaned it, checked all the soldering, replaced heat gel, sacrificed a virgin, nothing would make the white pulsating light of doom go solid blue, untill you suggested flipping the hdmi cable, now it is alive again, thanks to you.

I have a PS4 pro that has been laying around my house for about 3 months, unused. I decided to go play some f1 and then was scared why my TV wasn't registering the console. I unplugged everything even my TV, and switched both ends of the HDMI cable. I just got a new cable and taadaaa! it worked. If all of them doesn't work, it's either the console's broken or its the HDMI, consider getting a new one and plugging it. Helpful video.

Thank you for the video to help trouble shooting. I had already attempted the power button suggestion (but did not hold it long enough to do the first two troubleshooting you explained. Pressing it once made it go from white light to orange light. Waited a bit, then pressed it again, it appeared to be powering up with pulsing blue and went back to the solid white light. Then I went to search and found your video to try first.) Your explanations concerning the HDMI cable surprised me, but it sort of made sense. I had seen odd things with “no video” before on one of my Samsung TVs’ source inputs with other devices. I switched Source input to two other sources and confirmed they were working. I then switched back to the PS4 Source selection and it was showing the “press the PS4 button on your controller” screen. Everything worked normally again. I have not tried unplugging the HDMI cable to see if that will force my PS4 into the solid white state during power-up, but I will some day just to see how things work. I didn’t know about “safe mode”. I see where that could be helpful in the future. Thanks again!

I only use my PS4 4 times a year to get PS Plus packs. I really didn't want to have to ask a friend to claim them for me, so I'm really glad I managed to fix it.

Thank you! I disconnected my TV and PlayStation then I reversed the HDMI cord from the TV to the PlayStation. Plugged it all back in and got to safe mode then I check for updates and I needed a newer update so I downloaded that and let the PlayStation do its thing. And then went through two different restarts and now I’m playing again! Thank you very much.!!!!!!!

I am now a BELIEVER. I plugged out the the ps4 as well as the tv. Left it unplugged for the slotted time and the plugged backed in and it worked. My issue was white light with no signal on TV!!! Thank you sir.

This actually worked and really quickly. I went the extra mile. Unplugged the entire ps4 and my TV for 1 minute. Flipped the hdmi cable. And reset my video output. But it worked. Thank you for this!

So, I got a question, when the PS4 Pro is still on but doesn't have any video showing up and the controller is disconnected and unable to connect, does any of this still help fix the problem? And how does the TV have a problem when it still shows it's working? And does taking off the cover on the PS4 Pro will do anything to it if try to see if there is dust inside it? Also does keeping it on 24/7 all day/night effect it and how badly would it be?
Cause here's what happened to my as I was just watching RUclips on it and it suddenly the TV screen goes black with a display showing on it saying can't find HDMI 1 as it's normally does that when I turn off my PS4 Pro but it was still on and had a solid white line. No blinking or different color and also my controller disconnected from it, is that something to be really scary as I'm worried about my PS4 pro to be broken or ending up losing it and this is used to. Does it matter if it's new or used? And this happened before but it shut off fully with a weird sound, but I couldn't tell if it's my console or if it was the place that I'm living in as my mom's alarm clock shown something too when that one happened of my console shutting off. Also, can it actually be the TV having problems as this one that I have was my oldest sister who I think also got it from someone else as it's a smart TV too, but the TV still look like it's working and isn't showing any sign of having problems besides the part when not having the remote controller facing the right direction or something blocking the corner part where the button is on. Also does being on app's effect the consoles as well? As I've always been on RUclips a lot, also kept on pausing and unpausing a lot on there while also rewinding videos and changing videos a lot and fast sometimes, does that do anything to it as well? Also does having more then one game and app on there effect it? Also does any light touch as I did when that happened did a light slap but not to hard or strong as I didn't know it something would happened. Also does having a cord stay connected do anything to it as well? As I also been having it connected to it for a long time and been also stepping on it while also moving it around and the place that I am living at has carpet, will that do anything or cause something for moving that around as well? As I haven't a clue if it will create static by moving it around or if stepping on the cord as it's connected to it for my controller to charge. And does a cord with a damage part where the controller connects to do anything to it as well? Also sometimes on RUclips and when going onto apps it'll have some of them to be blinking before fully being solid and I don't know if that's a bad sign too or not if my console is not good.
I'm sorry if you had to read all that as I'm just really worried about my console to be having problems as I don't know who can help me or to call as I have autism as my oldest sister and her boyfriend used to live with me, but they been gone for a very long time as they moved far away and are unable to help me as they was able to help me with problems that comes onto the consoles. As this would be my second one as my first one was messing up as I couldn't get onto RUclips and Netflix as it may also not let me onto Twitch as well as it kept on saying something about license and error as I tried to follow what others said to try fix it myself but wasn't able to do anything as it wasn't letting me. Also, I did take it to a place to get it fix but they kept thinking it was the internet problem as before it was having problems staying connected to the internet while also, I've been doing that thing of testing the connection and didn't know if that'll effect the system or not as they didn't really tell me a whole lot. As that kept working of it reconnecting to the internet, but it wouldn't stop does that as the other devices that I have are able to connect just fine without problems. It also was running 24/7 all day/night without rest and nothing was telling if it was bad or not while also places not telling me if it was bad or not. Also, I don't have many places that'll help me fix this where I am at as most places ether moved business out of town or went out of business, so I only have limited type of choices. And I don't think they really look at it very well as the place that I take it to just connect it to something and did a software thing instead of looking into it as well as I think they didn't open it up to see if anything was not looking good inside of it. But they told me only to just bring it back if still having problems and I don't know if I should or not.

And I the power cycle doesn't work? left it unplugged over night, cleaned it, checked TV and hdmi clabe with other devices and booting into safemode
