Hi Everyone, thanks for watching. As there appears to be some confusion over what part of the HDMI port I am referring, I have attached a close up picture for your ease of understanding: drive.google.com/file/d/1nYwZaYcaKrAbYL6Nsrgn1AA8T0TmL-53/view?usp=sharing
Handy dandy, i wanna ask u smth, 2 years ago i went to a guy who repairs ps4, and he repaired my hdmi port, can the hdmi port be repaired twice? I wanna know please cause my hdmi port needs repair again, can it be repaired again?
@@keegan4713 Hi KeeGan, thanks for watching and sending me your question. I would say that most likely the HDMI port can be repaired twice; however, I would qualify that by saying it depends on how well it was fixed the first time. If the HDMI port was replaced by a qualified tech that did not overheat the circuit board (overheating can delaminate the thin copper etching) and properly soldered it, then it can be replaced. I think, though, that it is odd that it would need to be replaced after 2 years--typically most repair depots replace the OEM HDMI port with a much better after market port to ensure longevity. This leads me to speculate about the thoroughness /qualifications of the original repair depot. Maybe contact the same repair center and see if they will do a free customer service replacement or give you a discount for the 2nd replacement. Hope the above helps you; all the best to you, H.D.H. Alright man thank you, i delivered it to the repair man so he can fix it, he is gonna take a look if it can be fixed, so i hope it will be fixed pray for me🙌🥺

Hi Hamid Osman, thanks for watching and sending me your results. That is great news that the fixed worked for you (despite the initial skepticism). The HDMI port connection, while compact is very finicky, so the slightest changes in how it is held within the port can make the difference between a good connection and a poor one. RUclips remains UNDEFEATED!! Thank you so much, after searching thru a bunch of nonsense videos, THIS did the trick...I bet these are the types of simple fixes ppl are getting ripped off for at their local repair shops. Thanx again! 🥳💯🏆
i just took mine to the shop to get the hdmi port replaced for $150. i tried the things in this video but i think my port was completely shot. coincidentally i was getting a video signal until i took off the bottom of the ps4 to blow all the dust out of the fan, and as soon as i hooked it back up i couldn't get a video signal. the guy at the shop still thinks replacing the port will fix it, and i only have to pay if it works. considering i have like 90 ps4 games, $150 is kind of a small price to pay.
This worked like a charm! The only thing I did different was that I used a sewing needle instead of a toothpick or metal pick tool to prop up the "prong pieces" in the HDMI port because it was thinner than the pick tool, and stronger than the toothpick. The toothpick wasn't strong enough, and it was breaking at the tip when I put to much leverage on it. The metal pick tool wasn't thin enough, and I couldn't slip it under the prong. The sewing needle worked phenomenally! I was back to playing it that day. Thank you so much for making this video HDH. Literally saved me from buying a crappy used PS4. 👍👍
Hey man, i got the same problem, looked at attempting an hdmi port replacement, then saw your vid. I thort would that really make a difference? FIXED! I didnt have a suitable tool, a sewing needle was too thin and flimsy, so I opted for a piece of garden twine with the end filed off at an angle. Bingo! @@PatsFN Hi J X N, thanks for your further comment. I would suggest trying the fix outlined in my video. If that doesn't work, I would recommend trying to shift the HDMI cable while the PS4 is on to see if the slight adjustment improves the signal (you get something other than just a black screen or 'no signal' on the TV). If that does work, try duct taping the HDMI cable in the best position while leaving the PS4 on for 4 or more hours (the heat may help the solder on the HDMI port), then turn off the PS4 and unplug it for 4+ hours. Try turning the PS4 on again and see if this helps. If it does--great. If it doesn't then, I am sorry but the issue with the PS4 may be more advanced. You may want to try contacting Sony and requesting a warranty repair of the unit, as many people have reported similar problems. Thanks, H.D.H. [: { ].

@@xzoticcarts Hi AshtonIsVibin, thanks for watching and sending your question to me and the community. If your PS4 fell and the HDMI cord was connected to the port it is likely that the HDMI port connection itself has been compromised. My fix is more directed towards HDMI ports that just stop providing a video signal over time. You could try my fix, it would not cost you anything and it takes only about 5 minutes, and it may or may not work. Before you attempt it, however, just try using your finger and see if the HDMI port wiggles or shifts. If it does, then likely the solder connection that connects the port to the circuit board has cracked and needs to be re-soldered. Look for a Sony authorized warranty depot and see if they can trouble shoot it for you. Hope you get it working. All the best to you, H.D.H. [: { ].

Hi Elijah Montas. Just to confirm, you unplugged the PS4, nudged up the flattened pins, you cleaned with isopropyl alcohol the HDMI cable head, you checked to make sure the PS4 HDMI port on the back of the PS4 did not have dirty lines on it (use a flashlight to make sure) and you used a new input in your t.v.--is that correct. Last, when you plugged the PS4 back in, you tried resetting it twice--is that correct. Hi Electric Powerade, thanks for watching and sending me a summary of your issue. Yes, the 'no signal' on the tv is a sign that the HDMI port on your PS4 may not be operating as well as when it was when the console was new. I guess, its worth a shot if you are experiencing the Blue Screen no signal issue. You might want to try resetting the PS4 (hold power button for 10 sec until 2nd beep and then unplug power supply for 10 seconds and see if the reset helps). Apart from that, you might want to contact Sony for a warranty authorized repair depot that might be able to diagnose your console for you. All the best to you in 2021, H.D.H. [: { ].
My boyfriends old OG first ever PlayStation needs the cord to be propped at an angle like earbuds. He said one of the “prongs” are splintered from taking the cord in and out for four years straight taking it to his grandmothers and back. I’m not sure how to fix that because that’s gonna be my PS4 soon.
Hi wonderland, thanks for watching and sending in your question. Yes, I have heard from other viewers that shifting the HDMI cable can help in ensuring a better connection. If one of the metal strips along the outside perimeter of the HDMI port is damaged/broken, then altering the angle of the HDMI cable entering the port may assist. Fixing this particular issue will likely require a HDMI port replacement, as one cannot easily repair/reattach the damaged metal strip. Sorry I couldn't provide you with better news. All the best to you, H.D.H. [: { ].
Hi ItsAmarYT, thanks for watching and sending me a summary of your problem. We should confirm a few things: First, when you are connecting your PS4 to the TV, you are connecting a HDMI cable from the PS4 directly to the HDMI port in the TV--is this correct? Second, when you are connecting your PS4 to a monitor are you still using the same HDMI cable/port to connect to the monitor's HDMI port or are you switching to VGA with some sort of adapter. If you are switching to VGA with an adapter, it may not work unless you have a specific adapter designed to convert HDMI signals to VGA or RCA outputs. Please let me know and I will try to help you out. All the best to you for the new year, 2021, H.D.H. [: { ]

Hi lxlspooky_ , thanks for watching and sending me your comment. I am not sure what could be causing the black and white lines. It could be a poor connection between the TV and the PS4. One way to test this is to hook up a laptop to the same hdmi and see if the problem persists. If it does, then replace the hdmi cable and retest, if it does not then the problem may be with your PS4 hdmi port. Hi Everyone, I received a comment from rached Marri asking a question about which specific area of the PS4 to pull out at 2:54. For some reason, I am not able to directly reply to rached Marri's comment so I am doing so via this public comment section. Rached Marri: The area that you need to pull out are two tiny metal strips that are located on the metal piece that surrounds the HDMI port. At 2:54, I have a metal pick pointing to a piece that I have already pulled out (look to where the metal pick is pointing) and a RED arrow pointing to a piece that is still not protruding outward. In case you are still not sure, just look for the only two slits in the outer metal casing (as opposed to the thin, horizontal piece in the center). If you look at the neighboring AUX port, you will also see two pieces of metal sticking upward, the HDMI pieces are like that but not as high. Unfortunately, I tried to film this repair with a regular video in real time, but the camera couldn't pick up the very small detail; I need a special lens that can pick up the small detail. I am still building my channel and hopefully I can get monetized one day (2yrs hopefully from now Oct 2020) at which point I will have extra money to buy more equipment. Thanks, hope this helps even though I couldn't directly respond to your comment. All the best, H.D.H. [: { ]

Hi bora Demirbulakli, thanks for watching and providing me with a summary of your issue. It is a real drag that trying to add a VR Headset to your PS4 has caused such an issue. I am not sure my video will directly address this issue. My thinking is that the VR Headset setup/download caused some of your native video/audio settings on the PS4 to change. The problem is how do you alter/switch these settings if you can't see anything on the screen. While this is going to be hard, this is what I would recommend: 1) find a friend who has the same PS4 model as you (i.e. Slim/Pro/Reg etc.), 2) Set a video chat with that friend where he points his/her phone at their TV as he turns on he PS4. At this point turn on your PS4 as well, 3) Ask your friend to pretend like s/he is about to adjust his/her settings and follow his controller movements exactly (i.e. if he pushes up on his joystick, you do so as well, if he presses O or X or triangle, you do the same) Your friend should be asked to go to Sound and Screen > Audio Output Settings > Primary Output Port > HDMI, 4) After this ask your friend to follow the procedure to safely shut down the PS4 and follow those steps as well. Unplug your PS4, wait 10 seconds, and plug in your power cable, plug in a HDMI cable, and turn on the PS4--see if it works. If it does, great you are now in business. If it does not work, you may have to deactivate your PS4 and Reset your PS4 while mimicking your friend's controller gestures. Note that resetting your PS4 is known as an initialization and will erase everything from your PS4 (i.e. Harddrive will be completely erased). This will take a few hours so leave your PS4 on for the full day to make sure the reset is complete. I don't know if the above suggestions will work, but that is where I would start. Sorry, in advance, if this was not helpful to you. I hope you get your PS4 working. Please let me and the community know what does eventually work. Thanks (and Merry Christmas to you), H.D.H. [: { ].

@@larrywilson3904 Hi Larry Wilson, thanks for watching and sending me your question. I assume you are referring to the 2 USB ports on the front and one port in the rear of the PS4. If this is correct, then no, I don't think this will work as while they are USB 3.0 they are not designed to emit the necessary video signal. They are more tied to simply charging your controllers or adding external storage . But...hey...you can still try it and if it does work, please let me and the community know (it should not harm your device). I have heard of some people trying to use a HDMI -->RCA adapter on old school TVs and then use the Digital (optical) port for audio, but this only works if the HDMI port in your PS4 is giving a partial signal that your HDMI receiving TV/monitor can't properly pick up. Hi james her, thanks for watching and sending me your question. My son's PS4 worked initially for about 6 months then stopped (without us moving the PS4, but with my son removing the HDMI cable) because the PS4 froze. We did the fix and I told him to never remove the HDMI cable and the fix has been working for over 11 months now. I need to know, do you move your PS4 often or do you remove the HDMI cable and re-plug it in to different monitors? This may be the reason why the fix works but then stops working. If after repeated successful tries, it stops, working, I hypothesis that the HDMI port on your PS4 may be experiencing metal fatigue and the thin strips of metal are not able to 'bounce' back as resiliently as they did in prior fixes. Sometimes heat can give metal back its resiliency, but trying to get a heat source close to the HDMI port is going to be challenging without opening it up. You could try a very thin, micro soldering iron, but only provide the heat for a few seconds, as you don't want to melt anything or de-solder the component. Hope the above helps. All the best to you, H.D.H. [: { ].

Hi Zack Floyd, thanks for watching and sending me your results. I am sorry the fix didn't work for you. One last ditch attempt you could make is with our PS4 off, hold the HDMI cable on the back port and after you turn on the PS4, try gently shifting its position (do not do this aggressively), this might help you trouble shoot if it is a loose PS4 port or if indeed its a connection issue, but the fix was not sufficient to bridge the gap. Hope you do get your PS4 working again, if you have any questions, let me know. All the best to you, H.D.H. [: { ]
Hi LOKES SUPERNOVA, thanks for watching and your question. My fix does not address this issue. If, however, this is your only issue, then there may be a simple solution. First, check to make sure your TV/Monitor is capable of running at 1080p or the higher, desired resolution. Second, turn on the PS4, go to SETTINGS> [SOUND and SCREEN]> [VIDEO OUTPUT SETTINGS] and set the appropriate resolution. By default, PS4 is designed to select it automatically, but for whatever reason, if the auto select is not working, the manual selection above should help you out. Hope this helps, if it does, please let me know with your appreciation. All the best to you, H.D.H. [: { ].

Hi AyuMaster, thanks for watching and sending me your issue. Many issues could have occurred when your PS4 dropped onto the floor. One thing I think you should check is the HDMI port. Sometimes (depending on how the PS4 lands) the HDMI port can be jarred or twisted by the cable. Check it by removing the cable and using the finger next to your pinky finger (the weakest finger so you use the least pressure) and see if the HDMI port wiggles or moves. If it does, then there is a chance that this is the cause of your video output issues. Some viewers have used a toothpick or wadded up paper and placed it between the outside HDMI port metal and the PS4 case to make the HDMI port stable again. This can work in some cases, but it is not a guaranteed fix as it depends on how badly the HDMI port is damaged. If you do try this fix, please let us know your results. All the best to you, H.D.H. Hi SauceLord006, thanks for watching and sending me your question. If the thin needle is not thin enough to get in-between the metal prong, try taking the back side of the needle (the rounded part--not sharp part) and gently push the metal prong from the bottom up. You might try something thinker like a pin head to get more surface area. Just make sure it is long so that you can get a good grasp of it. Hope the suggestion helps you. All the best to you, H.D.H. I finally got to pick them up but it's still showing no signal I probably have to just go get the whole HDMI port replaced thank you for your assistance though
@@saucelord006-5 Hi SauceLord006 -, I am sorry the fix didn't work for you. Do try replacing the HDMI cord and gently shifting the cord when it is in the PS4 port to see if that helps. If that fails, then, yes, replacing the port may be the only option; however, do try to contact Sony and see if they will cover a warranty authorized repair because this is an issue that has affected a lot of customers. Please someone help me. I’m not sure if this is normal. But that little thing in the middle of my hdmi that holds the gold pins can be pushed all the way upwards
Hi Pablo scripts, thanks for watching. I assume you are referring to a loose PS4 HDMI port. A loose HDMI port typically signifies a loss of connection between the port and the circuit board. This could mean a circuit board crack, a cracked solder joint, or HMDI port metal strip/solder joint break. All of these issues are best addressed with a port replacement. If you don't mind a temporary fix, then try the following: plug in your HDMI cable, then turn on the PS4, once it is on and you see the video input error message, get some duct tape pieces ready, then gently start moving/shifting the end of the HDMI cable closest to the port in a circular motion and stopping briefing at the 12, 3, 6, 9 o'clock positions and see if any of this movement helps re-establish a video connection (if you are working behind your TV, having a mirror or a friend tell you if there is any change in the video reception will be helpful as well). Should movement help, then try to tape the HDMI cable end in that exact position so that it is maintained. This jerry-rigging may work, but I am not sure for how long. Hope the suggestion helps, all the best to you, H.D.H. [: { ].
Hi Pc Joe, thanks for watching and trying this fix. If you tried all my steps and it still doesn't work, I am sorry to say that the fix may not work for all situations. Have you perhaps tried seeing if the HDMI port is loose (just try using your weakest finger and gently try to shift it). This may be why it is not working. If you have any further information, that would be helpful in me others providing further suggestions. All the best to you, H.D.H. [: {].
Hi guys, I thought my HDMI was gone for good. I tried to pull out the metal prongs, all that, nothing worked. At the end, I simply used a Q-Tip to clean the hdmi port. There wasn't very much on the qtip when I removed it, only some black dirt or something. But once I did it, the PS4 HDMI worked perfectly. So try that guys, it really worked and now I am playing the PS4 every day!

Need help ps4 works and turns on but when I try plugging it into tv it says no singal I tried different hdmi cables as well but it might be the hdmi port on my ps4 but idk how it could have broke
Hi Damien Salazar, thanks for watching and sending me a summary of your issue. The symptoms you have described are, unfortunately, common among PS4 consoles. I don't know if it the design or the type of HDMI port that is used. What I do know is that the PS4 and especially the PS4 pro run very hot (just try standing next to one while gaming and you could use it as a space heater). The heat contributes to many issues including the melting of solder and of expanding and contracting metals which makes them more pliable (bendable) and--potentially--more brittle. With regards to your specific problem, please let me know if you have tried my fix. Sometimes the prongs on the PS4's HDMI port become flat and can't hold the HDMI cable centered or properly connected to the center piece and you get 'No signal error'. If that doesn't work, try cleaning the HDMI cable and the metal pieces inside the HDMI port with a thin cotton swab and rubbing alcohol [BE GENTLE] (heat increases the oxidization of most metals so sometimes oxidized connections can cause the no signal error). Last, see if moving or shifting the HDMI cable while it is plugged into the PS4 improves the signal. If it does improve the signal, then try using something to prop the cable into the position that provides the best signal and then leave it on, after 4 hours, turn it off and unplug it, and let the PS4 cool. This may help shift the solder next to the HDMI port pins enough to re-establish a better connection. Last, if nothing else works, use your finger and see if the PS4 port wiggles when you put pressure on it. If it does, likely you need to have the HDMI port replaced. Hope my suggestions help you, let me know if you need further help. Thanks, H.D.H. [: { ].
I bought a new cable and did the 7 second reset and and changed the resolution. I hit automatic and it goes back to no signal. Tried different inputs as well
Hi Pat Barry's Son, thanks for watching and sending me your question. Did you try bending the thin strips of metal in the outer metal surface of the HDMI port? Hi Rat King, thanks for watching and sending me your question. The metal pick can be found at Harbour Freight or most automotive shops. You can also repurpose a long pin or needle. Hope the suggestion helps, all the best to you, H.D.H. [: { ].
Hi 999squirt, thanks for watching and sending me your concern. Sorry about your toothpicks breaking...perhaps try a plastic pick. If that doesn't work, you may have to use a long needle or a long pin, if you don't have metal pick like the one I used in the video. You will know if you have 'propped' them up enough when you can see them protruding about 1-2 mm away from the metal that surrounds the HDMI port. If you want to be really precise, you can look at prongs in the port next to the HDMI port (AUX) and prop up the HDMI port prongs about half this height. Hope this helps. All the best to you, H.D.H. [: { ].
@@ELMstreett Hi The World, thanks for watching. With reference to your question, let me give you a bit of an overview. The HDMI port has a metal casing (grey colored) with a center bit (black or dark colored). The center area seats into the HDMI cable. There are two tiny metal strips that are supposed to provide a bit of tension to the HDMI cable when it is placed inside the PS4 HDMI port that are located on the outer casing. Sometimes (more like typically) these metal strips bend towards the outside (i.e. away from the center of the HDMI port or away from the HDMI cable that you stick into the port). My fix in the video explains how to gently move the strips back in place so that they can provide the friction to the HDMI cable that has been lost. Note: be gentle, use a pick, or a long pin and only push up until you see a little hump for the HDMI cable to slide against (DO NOT push the strip all the way up--this will mean that the HDMI cable edge will snag on it). Just push up the curved area of the strip. Hope this helps you, please let me know if you have any other questions. All the best to you, H.D.H. [ : { ].
Hi A Potato, thanks for watching and sending me your issue. If the HDMI port is loose than the actual electronic part that affixes itself to the PS4's electronic board is most likely compromised/damaged in some way. If the PS4 works, then it may just be the pins that hold the HDMI in place (not the soldered pins that carry the video/audio signal to the rest of the board. All the best to you, H.D.H. [: { ].
Hi ALCHEMIST, I am sorry to hear that my fix didn't work for you. Its a shame...if the thin metal strips look like they are now positioned properly, then you can try using the HDMI cables that you have and try to wiggle them gently in one direction or another and see if that re-engages a signal to your TV. If still nothing, then go to a Sony authorized repair depot to get an estimate to repair your PS4. Thanks, H.D.H. [: { ].

@@robertkirkscoverchannel. Hi Rk Production, thanks for getting back to me with the additional information. @@lilboigo0se100 Hi FireCh1ld, thanks for getting back to me. Another tool that you might try is a long pin or a thick needle--either should be much stronger than a wooden toothpick. If you don't have either, you could also try getting some plastic tooth picks. The last item you could repurpose for this fix is a metal dental pick, but those are not typically found in most households, so you will have to purchase it. Hope the suggestions work out for you. Hi OsamaBonJovi, thanks for watching and sending me your experience with the PS4. It is shocking that you have replaced the HDMI port 3 times. Typically factory authorized repair depots replace the HDMI port with something much better than the OEM. The fact that you say that 'it just falls apart' makes me suspect that the repair center is either not securing the port properly to the board or is soldering with cold joints. You might want to ask them what type of soldering station they are using and/or if they also use a solder reworking tool (that blows hot air). I would definitely take the PS4 to an alternate repair center. Sorry that my fix didn't work you though man. Hope you are able to get a proper fix done to the PS4 so that you can once again use it. All the best to you, H.D.H. [: { ].
Hi Cbandz, thanks for watching and sending me your question. Try to find a metal pin, or a needle and gently prod the metal up. Sometimes it will bend back over time, but in my experience this happens maybe every 6-12 months. If it is bending more quickly, try experimenting with either a higher bend or a lower bend and see if that changes the timeline over which it bends back. The metal in the HDMI port is flexible to a point, so be careful that you don't do it so much that it cracks or breaks. Also, make sure you have lots of ventilation around your PS4 as the heat generated from the console can warp/bend the metal as well. Hope the above suggestions help you out. All the best to you, H.D.H. [: { ].
@@carloosss1845 Hi Cbandz, thanks for your further question. Be very careful when sliding the HDMI cable back in. It appears you may have bent the metal strip so much that the strip edge may be exposed and when you try to slide the HDMI cable into the port, it catches. Gently put the very tip (the edge that is closest to the opening of the HDMI port) down. Make sure that both strips of metal are flush at the opening and then gently rise up so that the entering cable head can gradually fit snugly. Again, be gentle and don't force anything. Hope the above suggestions help you. All the best to you, H.D.H. [: { ].
Hi Cameron Brown, thanks for watching and sending me and the community your question. If you are referring to the tool/device that you use to help bend the thin metal back into position, use an awl, or an automotive pick (like the ones sold at Harbor Freight). If you don't have that, then try a long thin pin or needle or a strong toothpick. Hope the above suggestion helps you. Let me know if you have any other questions. All the best to you, H.D.H. [: { ].
Hi Cameron Brown, thanks for the reply. That is great that your family helped you out. I hope that got your PS4 working and that it works for many more years. All the best to you, H.D.H. [: { ].
are all the oinds in the HMDI port supposed to be protruding? because all of mine are flat.. i have issues where my PlayStation displays pictures SOMETIMES.. but not all the time. I was thinking that this could be because the pins in the HDMI port are flat like you explained.. any suggestions?
Hi Jasmine Poullard, sorry for the late reply...have been away from my channel for a bit. To be clear, note that the pins/metal strips that I am discussing are the ones within the metal casing that surround the center pin. Do NOT touch the center area of the console HDMI input. The two thin metal strips/pins along the outside casing should protrude a little, like two small hills on an otherwise flat landscape. If you can't see these protrusions then bending them gently back until you can see the 'hills' will help position the HDMI cable into this port. If you need any further help, let me know. All the best to you, H.D.H. [: { ].
Hi Hotboii Trey, thanks for watching and sending me your question. The silver metal pieces should be protruding about 2-3 mm (by comparison you can look at the adjacent 'AUX' port and you will see similar metal strips, but these protrude much more than what you need the HDMI port strips to protrude. Also, remember to reset the PS4 multiple times after the fix. I hope this suggestion helps you, if you have any further questions, please let me know. All the best to you in 2021, thanks, H.D.H. [: { ].
@@HotboyTrey63 Hi Hotboii Trey, thanks for providing your further input. If you are looking at the back of your PS4 you are going to see the port that is labelled 'HDMI OUT'. This port has a metal shroud or outer metal cover and a plastic/metal inner piece that is thin and sits horizontally in the center of the port. The two metal pieces are below this center horizontal piece. Only pull up the metal strips a little--only 1-2 mm, they should NOT be pull up as much as the AUX port that is next to the HDMI OUT port. When you plug in the HDMI cable, make sure you are placing it correctly against the port on the PS4--it only fits one way so you have to make sure the pattern aligns. It will be more snug, but I have not experienced anything to block it completely. Just remember to make sure that metal strips need to just come out a little otherwise you might break them if you force the HDMI cord into the port. Hope these suggestions help you. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks, H.D.H. [: { ].

Hi Yfiggs234, thanks for watching. I am sorry my fix didn't work for you. You may want to see if you can wiggle your HDMI port. If it does move, the entire port may be compromised rather than just the pins being bent flat. One viewer mentioned that he was able to use a toothpick and jam it between the HDMI port and the PS4 to stop the wiggling (if you happen to have this issue). Apart from that, you may need to have it repaired by a factory authorized repair depot. All the best to you and I hope you get your PS4 working again. H.D.H. [: { ].
Hi Dabi, thanks for watching and sending me your question. If you have 'prongs all over the place' you might have the middle/center area thin metal pieces moved out of place. My PS4 only has two thin metal prongs on the OUTER metal casing (not the inner area). If you issue is with the middle area metal pieces, my fix won't work for you. Likely an HDMI port replacement is required. As a last ditch method (hail mary attempt), you might want to try carefully bending the metal prongs to their intended position and adhere them to the center post with crazy glue--but this is highly risky. So only use this method if you have to replace the HDMI port anyways. I can provide further thoughts if you can send me a clear, close-up picture to my email address: thehandydandyhusband.info@gmail.com Look forward to hearing from you, best wishes, H.D.H. [: { ].
He TheRiseofTony, thanks for watching and let me know your concern. I am sorry to hear that the metal pin/strip broke before you could fix it. Considering the pin is broken, I wonder if inserting a thin paper wedge between the cable and the HDMI port might provide just enough friction to get it working again. You may wish to try this, but I have really no idea if it would work. Best alternative suggestion I can make is contact Sony and request a repair under warranty (regardless of when you purchased the PS4) as this appears to be a common issue with PS4s. Please let me know if either suggestion works. All the best to you, H.D.H. [: { ].
@@theriseoftony Hi TheRiseofTony, that is such a bummer. Maybe speak to Sony and advise them of the many issues you have had and how little you have had with Xbox. Maybe they might make a warranty exception in your case. All the best to you, H.D.H. [: { ].

Hope the above helps you; all the best to you, H.D.H. i just took mine to the shop to get the hdmi port replaced for $150. i tried the things in this video but i think my port was completely shot. coincidentally i was getting a video signal until i took off the bottom of the ps4 to blow all the dust out of the fan, and as soon as i hooked it back up i couldn't get a video signal. the guy at the shop still thinks replacing the port will fix it, and i only have to pay if it works. considering i have like 90 ps4 games, $150 is kind of a small price to pay.

@@HANDYDANDYHUSBAND I was looking around my house for hours to find something that was thin enough to push on of the metal pieces back up because one was flat , I succeeded in doing that , and my ps4 still doesn’t work
Hi Elijah Montas. If you did all those things, may I suggest using a new or different HDMI cord that you know works with another monitor or tv. Also, when you take the HDMI cord out of your PS4 this time, are the pins still up or have they reflattened? Please try and let me know when you have tried that, also let me know how old your PS4 is, what type of PS4 is it (PS4 slim/pro or other). My ps4 would only display something if it was on safe mode...
Hi trigsko, thanks for watching and your comment. If the PS4 is working fine only in safe mode, you should really check if your TV is properly able to display 1080p resolution. It may be that the higher resolution is not able to be projected to the TV. It could also be that the console is having difficulty sending a good hi res picture, but I would first check with the TV. but when i connect my hdmi cable to the ps4 it just says “no signal” on the tv.
i’ve tried using different hdmi cables and nothing changes.
Hi Electric Powerade, thanks for watching and sending me a summary of your issue. Yes, the 'no signal' on the tv is a sign that the HDMI port on your PS4 may not be operating as well as when it was when the console was new. Try prying up the prongs that should be protruding out a little. Once you have done that, let me know and I will try to help you out. All the best to you and Happy + safe 2021 to you, H.D.H [: { ].

If you have tried it and it didn't work for you, I am sorry about that. The fix isn't 100%, but it is free, and people have said that it worked for them in the comments.
when i conect my ps4 to tv it woks when i conecy my ps4 to monitor its say noo vga sinla i conect it w bga video cable

when I connect my hdmi to the ps4 and to the tv mine turns on but after there like a black and white line that is not letting me be able to play
Unfortunately, without more information, it is hard for me to provide any other assistance. Hope you try out my test and see if it works. All the best to you, H.D.H. [: { ].

I had my PS4 for 3 years and I never had a problem but when I tried to set up my vr headset nothing shows up on my tv I tried everything and when I hooked my PS4 back up normally nothing still shows up on screen when I used my vita via remote play and looked at the problem it turns out the the hdmi cable isn’t connected for some reason even though everything works fine I tried other hdmi cables even my Nintendo switch hdmi cable none of them work I even tried another tv and that didn’t work nothing I tried works 😞

My HDMI port is broken? Would a usb to hdmi adaptor work.
Please reply
It work for me 4 time but now it when back .to the blue light again...I wonder y I can't get it to work now again...anything more I can do.??
this didn't work on my ps4 I wish it did I could play it but it didn't I did everything you said and still nothing on my tv both tv i try see if was my tv but one tv says ps4 but still no signal and my other tv nothing still no signal
my ps4 doesn't run on 1080p its run on only 480
Hi LOKES SUPERNOVA, thanks for watching and your question. What happened is that my ps4 fell of the desk now is not showing in the screen when i turn it on
Hi AyuMaster, thanks for watching and sending me your issue. [: { ].

Hi SauceLord006, thanks for watching and sending me your question. If the thin needle is not thin enough to get in-between the metal prong, try taking the back side of the needle (the rounded part--not sharp part) and gently push the metal prong from the bottom up.
My ps4 is loose, how do I fix without getting it repaired or replaced
I’ve tried everything and my PS4 won’t connect to the tv
Hi theunown, thanks for watching and sending in your comment. That is a good tip and I will share it with anyone having issues that don't resolve with the fix I have already suggested. All the best to you and Merry Xmas, H.D.H. [: { ].

Everytime I try to prop up the metal pieces the toothpick breaks and how do I know if I propped them up
Hi 999squirt, thanks for watching and sending me your concern. [: { ].
@@HANDYDANDYHUSBAND I don’t know how to make them go up tho
My PS4 has the hdmi port loose and only works when at an angle. So usually I wrap the hdmi cable around my PS4

I tried all the steps, even switched HDMI cables and switched TV's but it's not working :(. I think i have to repair the HDMI Port

@@HANDYDANDYHUSBAND Yes that’s exactly what I’m talking about, is there anyway for me to fix that from wiggling around and get my ps4 pro displayed on the tv
I’ve got mine replaced 3 times and I don’t touch it and it just falls apart it’s pissing me off because I can’t see to extract the data from it
Hi OsamaBonJovi, thanks for watching and sending me your experience with the PS4. [: { ].
I cant find anything small enough so I used a knife but when I lifted it back up and plugged in the hdmi they went back diwn
@@HANDYDANDYHUSBAND I got a question I finally found something to lift them up but the hdmi won’t fit noe

@@sheluvsjass Thanks for the amendment. Please see my comment on your initial question. H.D.H. [: { ].
Me and my mom was doing everything in the video we just didn’t know what height to put the bottom silver things at and it still doesn’t work
Hi Hotboii Trey, thanks for watching and sending me your question. Another question sorry but every time I ride them a lil I can’t plug the hdmi cord into the port
Like the lil silver things are blocking it to where I can’t plug the cord in
@@HotboyTrey63 Hi Hotboii Trey, thanks for providing your further input.

H.D.H. [: { ].
How do you fix a ps4 that has its prongs all over the place
I can provide further thoughts if you can send me a clear, close-up picture to my email address: thehandydandyhusband.info@gmail.com
Look forward to hearing from you, best wishes, H.D.H. [: { ].
Sadly the pin broke before I could even do this. Happened when I removed the hdmi cable and then TVs died at the same time
He TheRiseofTony, thanks for watching and let me know your concern. [: { ].
