- Join Acoustic Sounds CEO Chad Kassem as he dives into some interesting and unique items from his private collection and shares his passion for vinyl. The cool stuff from Chad Kassem’s personal LP collection includes rare originals and Analogue Productions choice reissues from historic jazz labels like Prestige and others. The distinction is in the details: Tip-on jackets from Stoughton Printing, glossy front covers, and flat-profile and deep groove label vinyl. Sound is phenomenal. It’s the Analogue Productions/Quality Record Pressings way.

Another awesome vid Chad Kassem, enjoy seeing and hearing about what's in your collection, and the future of what's to come, That smile creeps in showing the pride you have, in the album you have! Keep on truckin Bro!!
Thanks to him for starting high end back in 1995 ,reissues. he deserves most of the credit for the vinyl revival.and quality is still second to none.simply the best.
Thanks so much for sharing these great and rare examples with us. Just to see and hear about them is such a privilege.
Nice collection, Chad. I want to say thank you for putting out a great company and keeping it going. I know there are many things to consider (repressing, new records to logistically figure out, as well as putting out fires in the fact you run a company). All in all, AP is my favorite company, because you are consistent. Now that, is a very respectable thing to obtain. Thank you.
Well said.
This is great! Thanks for sharing Chad!
Simply amazing! Thanks for sharing, Chad. That Lightning Slim was 🤯
Chad, these videos are really cool, keep 'em coming!!
Chad. I just wanted to thank you for all the great vinyl pressings you and your team have produced. Though Ive been collecting vinyl for years, I was only recently introduced to your company and pressings. My first purchase was Pet Sounds. WOW.
Ive missed a quite a few of your releases unfortunately as a result of just having learned of Analogue Productions. I am however trying to prevent that from happening again. Lol. Anyway, thanks to Mike at The In Groove Records and Michael Fremer (probably mispelled that, lol) both here on RUclips for turning me on to Analogue Productions, I am now a devotee!!!!

I'm glad you got to hear one of our reissues and liked the results! We put a lot of heart and soul in all of them.
Excellent. Really enjoyed this video.
I went down a ligntnin’ slim rabbit hole after this video... he was epic!
that's some next level stuff Chad. Well played!
I am amazed just to see so many rare stuff in Near Mint condition, as they look like for me on this video.
I really hope AP do more of the Mercury Living Presence reissues, so many gems in that catalog that are so hard to find in clean condition.
The first 2 we did sounded and sold very well. We will consider. Right now we're having a hard enough time repressing our current in-print titles, but thanks!
I think we need a tour of Chad's system next to see how he enjoying all these records...
That Howlin Wolf is his best record!
👌
Very much enjoying the new video series Chad.
Could be me, but I think this one was better "framed" - the records seem larger and easier to see (And what records they are!)
The definition and sound seem slightly improved too maybe?
Keep 'em coming.
Hola Chad, me podrias informar donde se consigue la caja negra de Blue note que se ve en el mueble que esta atras de ti. Gracias, Saludos.
What are your thoughts on Acoustic Sounds reissuing Rooster Blues? That would be incredible.
i bought the pepper from you when you first issued it on LP --and I also bought the 2 gold CDs you issued of it with G and S suffix serial numbers (grundman and sax) --never could really tell the difference in sound
Boy, you go way back! We appreciate the support. Financially that wasn't a good experiment, but yes, when you have 2 of the best mastering engineers in the world working on this title, they both got the best results - it's hard to distinguish! The reason we let Bernie cut it - his first job in LA was working for Contemporary Records.
@@acousticsoundsks yes I remember that is what you wrote in the flier (you did not have catalogs back then, and it was pre-internet) -don;t remember if i bought it from you, or music direct -- I never cared for later pepper but it was his pre-incarceration stuff that I liked --recently I bought it again as a blu ray japan only release --but I did get your 45 issue and sacd as well
Hi Chad, we have a little something in common brother, back in high school in the early and mid 80's i used to hustle vinyl records to make some extra scratch for lunch money, concert tickets, clothes and buying my own music and extra things in life, brings back a lot of great memories going to all the record stores in central Indiana looking for the best sounding pressings, etc. for friends and folks not knowing anything about it. funny thing was that a lot of times i ended up knowing more and/or kinda educating some of the store employees at the record store counters who didn't care to much about anything, let alone the great music. but it was fun digging for nicer copies than i could afford or had and making a little extra money for life necessities and such. love your content brother and i've purchased a lot of vinyl from AP when i can save up some funds to purchase. do you ever have any kind of coupons or anything like that available? thanks, Jerry
Those were the days!
I'm too jealous to be envious. You got that Art Pepper and Chet Baker "Playboy" from The Jazz Record Center huh?
Yes I did! And Fred hooked me up with a very reasonable price of $50 for it. I have a lot of respect for Fred, he is so nice and very reasonable, and is always a pleasure to do business with.
@@acousticsoundsks Now that I have your ear, is there any intention of a new batch of Living Stereo reissues? How about a special 45 rpm edition of "Blues And The Abstract Truth" or some of Monk's Riverside stuff? How about some of that great Contemporary stuff on 33, or some of those great classical records on EMI?
Hey Chad. Will there ever be a repress of The Blues and the Abstract Truth?
Yes, soon. I've already heart the results. All I can say, is put on a diaper before you play!
But Chad, do you have the -1 mono cut of Revolver with the alternate mix of Tomorrow Never Knows?
I do, but it’s VG at best :/
@@JeffersonDD Still lucky. How does the mix compare to the -2 cut?
Chad, Please do Art Pepper Meets The Rhythm Section again!
Any update on the schedule for the acoustic sound series for 2021????
Coming soon!
Wow..$500.
first
"Only $500"....!!!!!...... What kind of delusional Universe are YOU living in.....What is striking when watching you and Fremer, is the distortion in your faces and voices, evoking the Twilight Zone episode: The Masks.
In my house, Jazz is illegal.
