it took me over three hours (of browsing random YT ) to finally find your channel... THANK YOU for sharing all this - I found a lots of good music flows for myself here. this is a real 'well of music'
Love every episode. Didn't find anything from this batch at my favourite Japanese mega store, but always informative. I have to say, I'm generally partial to Bobby Timmons' Prestige releases. In particular, I have been put off buying "In person" (1975 Japanese reissue) for $25 CAD.(with shipping) I know: herassy! 🤣 I had just bought Japanese first pressings of "Chun-King" and "Little Barefoot Soul" for under $25 CAD prior to this episode. I don't have them yet as I'm waiting until I have enough of my wishlist accumulated at that store for a good bundle pricing on shipping. Can't wait to hear them, but they are sitting waiting along with "Introducing Roland Kirk" for at least two to three more of my "must haves" to show up.
Those are great albums by Timmons. Bulk shipping from japan is definitely the way to go. Coincidentally on a trip in Japan now and it’s pretty astounding what is casually in record stores here and affordably so (aided by a weak yen). At some point I’ll show what I got if I can fit it in a suitcase and get it to North America 😬
Love your channel. Thanks for showing lots of records (plus needle drops sometimes!) in bite size pieces. Perfect balance.
Thanks for the vote of confidence and the feedback - I do try to keep it moving and… to the point

John Handy live at Monterey 1967 is also everywhere for super cheap
Agreed. Great record - costs next to nothing. Will feature it soon
Bohannon's Beat, wow ! , thanks
Appreciate the info and the tips! Some great stuff to look out for.
Appreciate it. Thanks for the comment
Love Sunflower
My favorite on CTI
It would help if you took the sleeve off, so we could see the cover more clearly, without all the reflections.
Yep. Will take that advice going forward
Also on Denon is the fabulous duo of Archie Sheep and Abdullah Ibrahim.
Wow Archie with Dollar brand?? I’ve got to check that out
David Pike- jazz version of Oliver with Jimmy Raney
CTI and ECM are definitely not obscure labels. Also agree with you that M Davis is over-rated.
I don’t actually think Miles is overrated but understand why some may think so
Not Miles is not overrated Period.. end of paragraph
@kylealsberry8602 ...The Electric Miles is overrated!
@brucescott4261 🤷🏾 Miles created that genre of music. Weather Report, Return To Forever into the next phase of Electric music.
@@brucescott4261sounds more likely to be underrated by you.
