Hullo Captain. That’s me, Teik Yean, from Singapore. We were in Fred’s shop in September.
Like you, I’m a fan of Sam Records.
So very nice of you to remember. Enjoy your records in good health!

Hello, I’m a french fan of your RUclips channel. For your informations, Christian Vander is a famous french musician. He is the co-founder of MAGMA, a prog rock and jazz band. He is the drummer but plays piano as well

Thanks for the information of Christian Vander, Stéphane.
I’m not very familiar with the French jazz scene but can see that Christian Vander has been very active and also started a record label (among many other initiatives).
      Take care.

According to the Encyclopedia of Jazz, Waldron was born 16 August 1926 and was originally an alto saxophonist; switched to piano and worked around NY with the groups of Big Nick Nicholas, Ike Quebec '49-'53. In April '57 he started as accompanist to Billie Holiday, touring France and Italy November '58 and London February '59. His favorites, circa '60, were Bud Powell, Monk and Herbie Nichols. You've got a great channel.

Thanks for your kind word and the information about Mal Waldron. There seems to be some confusion about his exact birthday/-year. I got my info from Wikipedia, which is often (but not always) correct.
