Goblins are angry little monsters, usually eking out an existence raiding and stealing from the fringes of civilization. Each goblin is a tight wound little ball of spite and menace that lives for petty cruelty and selfish indulgence. But they have reason to be so angry. Goblins as a race are the butt of the joke and the runt of the litter and in a real cosmic sense the goblinoid people were left holding the short straw. Not all goblins seek petty revenge for their lot in life though and many goblin heroes have risen above their squalid origins. Playing a goblin can be a great excuse to be truly and selfishly chaotic, or it can be a powerful story arc as your little gribbly monster grows into something noble and selfless. Hold your valuables tightly and descend into the warrens as we go through everything you need to know about goblin 5e!

My trickster cleric goblin, Mordecai, was kicked out of his tribe for being considered a freak (by goblin terms he was basically an Einstein). He left the village and his first encounter with the outside world was almost getting eaten by a starving human soldier named Reuben. He had a rather in-depth conversation with his captor who thought that in general, the goblin race needed to be purged from society and that the act of eating him wasn't a crime. Since then, Mordi has become paranoid that all races are officially racist.
That episode backstory had a twist to it, Mordi turned the tables on his would-be diner and made him into the first Reuben sandwich...

My son crested a trio of goblin triplets that were sold to a nasty circus master at 5. The fat lady adopted them and taught them to read write and more. They became an acrobatic beast fighting team. During a fire in the circus they kill the ring master and rescued an owlbear cub and ran away . In combat they can act separately or stand on eachother and act as one stronger unit. They have armor that when they stack looks like a human shape in full leather. Also the fat lady gave them a help that when worn gives them a human face.
Goblins are my favorite race in 5e (along with halflings). I made a goblin glamour bard that was pure awesome as a character.
What makes them your favorite? NGL, halflings are up there with us!

Wow this was a fun video it's almost as if you're reading my mind Patrick. I do indeed have a goblin character in the phandelver campaign. His name is Erbic and he's currently the sous chef to the party cleric. But he aspires to greatness or at least to get his clan some sort of recognition. Erbic was part of the phraia clan. Luckily his cleric master took him away from that and is showing him the world. So he's a happier little goblin. Thanks for sharing this small glance into goblins and their culture. As always great video.

My goblin, Boffles, was a fire bomber alchemist (pathfinder) with a magic tattoo that allowed him to gain temporary hp from fire damage. More than one I had him spend a round to prepare all his bombs for the day, then grapple and have them go off.
I have a Goblin Warlock/Bard build with focus on college of swords and patron of the Archery. I have base more on a Mongolian theme with his preferred instrument of a Zulkoon and is a throat singer using scimitar as his weapon. He has a back ground of feylost with a story of him falling through a portal into this world. So I move around the grungy goblin to more of a fairytale/Harry Potter type goblin.
Griswold,my goblin wizard's whole tribe was killed for exotic pelts by the famous fashionista enchantress Mad Maude Modiste (the Merciless). She took pity on and adopted Griswold as an infant after he was found amid the rubble of the massacre. Maude made him work in her magical sweatshop and orphanage for wayward youths and other undesirables turning monster hides into the latest fashion accesories. He was terribly mistreated there but learned a decent amount of magic and became quite learned for a goblin by stealing books and scrolls. He escaped with a handful of scrolls and lived as an urchin until he fell in with an adventuring group. He uses groveling and appeals to ego to garner pity to get what he wants and often plays dumb to gain the upper hand through surprise. He knows his life is short as a goblin and he wants to attain a sort of lichdom through transmutation instead of necromancy. Long story short he thinks he can pickle himself to mimic the longevity of his favorite snack. PickleLich! He has a very high intelligence but lacks even the most common of common sense. He's fairly hardy and very nimble. He's been a favorite of mine and our table loves him.
PickleLich is incredible, i have a Goblin called Ratbag Boilguts and he's an old af goblin and he got fucked up in an alchemist lab when it burnt down and he breathed in all the burning reagents, so he's currently searching for a cure and he's convinced he needs a great wyrm heart to brew an elixir that will fix his lungs

Grzzzzzzt - Fighter - Champion - slasher feat. ( starting at 5th for a con ). Grzzzzt was adopted by the local police who used him to infiltrate the Goblin gangs.. Torn between his pride in service, and shame in his origins he has gone adventuring to prove himself and all Goblins in the eyes of the world. His opinion of Goblin-kind was hardened as all he ever saw was the underworld and criminal enterprises. Wearing a cloak over his breastplate Grzzzzt appears to be an ordinary goblin, if you don't notice the nasty scimitar, and the shield. A +1 shiled - defensive fighting style, and the armor gives an AC of 20. Grzzzzzt will be moving in, slashing twice, the backing off most every turn. Taunting and insulting the monsters as he goes - depending on the table vivid descritpions of what a small goblin would slash at may be included.
I've been thinking about making some kind of scout/ranger character with one (no magic at all, I prefer a low magic setting)

would love to hear about other playing goblins I only started playing Gore tooth I just want to hear about other goblins and their human(players) *yrs I listen other people playing goblins but I would like more even listen about hobgoblins I watch the goblin slayer I only really watch for the goblins on how they act
