Vinny, thanks for sharing your story. I really appreciated it right now. I was a Bering Sea crab fishermen for 28 years. I lost dozens of friends over the years and came close to death many times. I was washed overboard by a huge wave during a storm one night in January. It was night, around 3AM and it was snowing heavily. I was behind the boat, watching huge propellors come completely out of the water a few feet in front of me. I asked God if this was the end. A warm audible voice told me "No. This is not your time." So I am still here, slowly turning into "fertilizer". My life has been hard and my body is wracked with chronic pain and problems, but my life has also been full of miracles. I have no doubt about the existence of God and an afterlife. In the temple, I met the angelic friends who watch over me. I am so grateful for the Savior and his beautiful atonement.
I love NDE'S and have listened and read hundreds. One aspect of the NDE experiencer I have noticed is they are always smiling and full of cheer. The transformation in these people is evidence of something amazing that took place. They are never the same. More and more of these stories are being told and recorded in these days. I think this is God's way of helping so many Godless people open up to the possibility of God and life after death. Vinnie's experience is full of instruction. THANKYOU so much for interviewing him! To be fair, believing in any god, is not necessary to having a life experience or to having a perfectly well functioning moral compass. We each hold beliefs that will help us move through the world and learn, experience and teach certain things. As an example, the Westborough Baptist Church people believe exactly what they're supposed to in order to best get them through their life here and to meet their goals. We have a lot of details to us like our birthplace, parentage, financial situation, level of education, sex, gender, whether or not we like cake, every single of the millions of details that make up a person. Each of these details are like a lens and combined or used separately, these "lenses" help us to view and move through life and experience very specific things in specific ways. Every experience makes changes to our spiritual resonance and those changes are permanent.
I dont care what anyone says, Vinney Todd Toleman and Dr. Mary Helen Hensley are hands down two of my favorites. I wish I could meet Vinney in person. Reading some of the comments here is disturbing. Why should Vinney change his story to your beliefs??. He had the NDE. Trust and believe. Lots of love.❤❤❤ edit...I could listen to Vinney over and over and over...it never gets old. For those that don't have his book... you should get it. It's beautifully written. Vinney, if you ever get your book in hard cover, please let us/me know. So cool to hear a near death story and learning all that he learned from his grandpa spirit guide that validates my whole life of learning everything I have learned from my family therapist and mentors and coaches, books and revelations! I never had an NDE, but I was abducted and had a lot of painful trauma. I was blessed to have a lot of spiritual guidance to help me and now I help others too! All that he was taught I was throughout my life! It's so great to know that this is universal! It's also amazing to know the Love of God, and how we all have spirit guides as our loving family members that are there helping us and we just can't see them. And to know that the power of our thoughts and mind is truly our creative power!
My father had died on the operation table and servived. I remember having asked him if he had an NDE and he had told me no. That was over 40 years ago, he died in 1993 . I now wonder if he didn't remember his NDE or if he denied it because he didn't want anyone thinking that he had lost his marbles. When he came out of the hospital he really appeared to of gone crazy . I recall him getting angry at me for not going out to the barn to milk the cows when he told me to but I couldn't since we lived in the city and didn't have a barn never mind any cows. We were told it was the effect that the strong drugs from his heart surgery that was doing it to him. With time he improved but lived the rest of his life with lots of pain. He seemed to be more spiritual afterwards but he could be very cross and difficult to live with. At the end, he had another heart attack and went into a coma, we were told that he was brain dead and that only the machines were keeping him alive. I was alone in the room with him and to.d him if he knew Jesus as his Savior ( which I believed he did ) it was OK for him to let go of us, we'd take care of mom but if not I asked him to stay with us. Very shortly after my giving him permission to go to God he left us as my mom and siblings returned to the room. He left me with a true sense of peace and I felt his presence with me as we left that day. He wasn't gone, he had just left the prison that his body had become.
I love what he says about hugs!!!! When I’m so spiritually exhausted or sad and I call out to God in despair, I instantly feel some energy embrace me. My whole body gives in to a force as if another human body were pulling me in, and I feel peace and comfort. It instantly calms my mind and my heart.
Very interesting. My life was saved by a Dr. in an ER when I was about 33 years old from massive allergic reaction. Huge hives covered my body. My blood pressure was so high that it could have killed me. My friend who took me sat beside me and while there I could perceive her thoughts and answered a question she had without her asking. The Dr. injected benydril and tagament in the vein in the back of my hand saving me. I spent the majority of the night in the ER with my friend with this Dr. attending me.
Thanks for sharing. It’s interesting you could perceive your friend’s thoughts. Was that the first time something like that happened? Were you able to sense anyone else’s thoughts l? Why do you think it happened? Did it change you in any way?
I have watched multiple interviews of Vinney and what he says about the end times has brought me so much comfort. So has the prophet of course, and Vinney has put another reason to be so excited to have a “front row seat.”

So a stab victim or shooting victim . They lose blood and die … they stop breathing . …. It takes hours ? No chronic sickness hospice patients takes hours .

This really reminds me of the story told by Visions of Glory. He too talks about everything having a spirit, hearing the thoughts of people, the University. Very cool correlations, but needs to be heard and discerned through the spirit. Sometimes I wish I could have these types of experiences too but I have been given the gift of faith and know that one day I’ll experience it all too.

I found this podcast highly enjoyable. So much, I went to Amazon and purchased the book of Vinneys. I can tell that he is an empath. It's my understanding that this happens a lot when a person has a near death experience I also have a friend with the last name of his grandfather that he spoke about. I went on Familysearch and looked up to see if they were related at all. Come come to find out, they shared the same grandfather. I'm going to get ahold of my friend and show him this podcast and see if he knew about his cousin's NDE story dealing with their grandfather.
He said in another interview that he was able to talk to the paramedic who saved him. He said he got in trouble for what he did and eventually trained to become a fireman.

I know what the rookie medic feels as since being a convert to the Church I feel my faith has dwindled in believing miracles because of experiences I've had with members of the Church where I felt persons just accept the injury or disease they are experiencing but a healing is ready but faith has to be exercised.

“God’s not throwing anyone away”. That’s a lovely thought but why do the scriptures say otherwise? Mosiah 16:11 for instance. And what about persons who learned it all, made temple covenants, served missions, married in the temple and then walked away from it all? Will God not “deliver them up to the devil?”
I have heard Vinny a few times before and really appreciate so much of what he says. However, in one of his presentations he was asked about the role of Jesus Christ. Vinny said while we need to become LIKE Christ, we don’t actually need Him or even know about Him. Vinny went on to say that in his NDE he saw a place where people who believe in Christ are sent to overcome the idea that we can’t be saved without Christ before we can progress. That was very disturbing to me and now I don’t know what to think about Vinny. I was actually surprised to hear him in this interview sound like he’s a Latter-day Saint because in his other interviews he didn’t sound like he believes in Jesus the way we do.
I know that off camera he talked about having to tone down the LDS side of his experience and limit what he shared to reach a more mainstream audience. Maybe that's why it was different.
I would like to see documentation of his dying and the hospital he was at etc. It seems a little far fetched and he has he's own agenda. Leaving Jesus Christ out all together isn't even Christian. This kind of reminds me of Chad and Lori Daybell. We need to be careful. Following the prophet is our safety net.
@@denisebuchanan5612 I agree - we definitely need to use discernment in anything that we watch or read. Through the gifts of the spirit (discernment) we can tell if something is good or not by the fruit it produces, and by asking ourselves questions like... Did it inspire me to be and do better? Did it bring me closer to God? Is it aligned with the teachings of the gospel? For me personally, regardless of Vinney's experience, the lessons he shared on this podcast about love, forgiveness, empathy, and our bodies and minds being temples were very insightful. My family and I listened to this episode on a Sunday drive to and from a family function, and when we got home we had one of the best discussions we've ever had about the gospel - it lasted almost 3 hours and my teenage/young adult kids were fully engaged and did most of the talking. It was the type of spiritual discussion that every parent dreams of having with their kids, and it never would have happened without Vinney sharing his story.
Denise Buchanan I had the exact same thoughts and also connections you had to the Chad Daybell story. That group had/has thousands of followers who thought/ think they were following The Spirit by believing his story. Tens of thousands of faith filled people believe the story told in Visions of Glory. It never rang true to me and my lack of belief was offensive to the friend who recommended the book. The Lori/Chad experience has turned me into a skeptic.
What I get out of it is to not judge yourself and others shouldn’t judge you, instead learn because the only thing you can take with you in life in knowledge/memories. Live life the best you can and then once you get to heaven you will be judged and I’ve listened to several NDE and each one the person says they see those good and bad acts in viewer eyes and the other persons eyes. I like to think that’s the judgement, when you’re seeing the good and the bad.
Also keep in mind that the final judgement doesn’t take place till after the millennium. Love the talk His Grace is sufficient by Brad Wilcox understand we are learning heaven. We are not earning heaven. After the millennium, I believe there will be a judgment once you have been taught by Jesus Christ and your mind and your body are whole then can you really make choices based entirely upon your own choices and your own true desires so the judgment will be more like you knowing and understanding where you want to be.
Hmm, what didn’t align with LDS future visions? Asking sincerely. I didn’t hear anything contrary and want to be careful that I’m hearing all I should.

The “contract” is triggering for people but I also have had experiences that lead me to believe that is 100% true

So much, I went to Amazon and purchased the book of Vinneys. I can tell that he is an empath. It's my understanding that this happens a lot when a person has a near death experience
I also have a friend with the last name of his grandfather that he spoke about.
I went on Familysearch and looked up to see if they were related at all. Come come to find out, they shared the same grandfather. I'm going to get ahold of my friend and show him this podcast and see if he knew about his cousin's NDE story dealing with their grandfather.
Pray for me to recive that kind of love … been so abused & harden I could not believe to receive love anymore.

Did Vinny ever talk to the paramedic who helped bring him back?
He said in another interview that he was able to talk to the paramedic who saved him. He said he got in trouble for what he did and eventually trained to become a fireman.

I know what the rookie medic feels as since being a convert to the Church I feel my faith has dwindled in believing miracles because of experiences I've had with members of the Church where I felt persons just accept the injury or disease they are experiencing but a healing is ready but faith has to be exercised.

“God’s not throwing anyone away”. That’s a lovely thought but why do the scriptures say otherwise? Mosiah 16:11 for instance.
And what about persons who learned it all, made temple covenants, served missions, married in the temple and then walked away from it all? Will God not “deliver them up to the devil?”
I have heard Vinny a few times before and really appreciate so much of what he says. However, in one of his presentations he was asked about the role of Jesus Christ. Vinny said while we need to become LIKE Christ, we don’t actually need Him or even know about Him. Vinny went on to say that in his NDE he saw a place where people who believe in Christ are sent to overcome the idea that we can’t be saved without Christ before we can progress. That was very disturbing to me and now I don’t know what to think about Vinny. I was actually surprised to hear him in this interview sound like he’s a Latter-day Saint because in his other interviews he didn’t sound like he believes in Jesus the way we do.
I know that off camera he talked about having to tone down the LDS side of his experience and limit what he shared to reach a more mainstream audience. Maybe that's why it was different.
I would like to see documentation of his dying and the hospital he was at etc. It seems a little far fetched and he has he's own agenda. Leaving Jesus Christ out all together isn't even Christian. This kind of reminds me of Chad and Lori Daybell. We need to be careful. Following the prophet is our safety net.
@@denisebuchanan5612 I agree - we definitely need to use discernment in anything that we watch or read. Through the gifts of the spirit (discernment) we can tell if something is good or not by the fruit it produces, and by asking ourselves questions like... Did it inspire me to be and do better? Did it bring me closer to God? Is it aligned with the teachings of the gospel? For me personally, regardless of Vinney's experience, the lessons he shared on this podcast about love, forgiveness, empathy, and our bodies and minds being temples were very insightful. My family and I listened to this episode on a Sunday drive to and from a family function, and when we got home we had one of the best discussions we've ever had about the gospel - it lasted almost 3 hours and my teenage/young adult kids were fully engaged and did most of the talking. It was the type of spiritual discussion that every parent dreams of having with their kids, and it never would have happened without Vinney sharing his story.

Denise Buchanan I had the exact same thoughts and also connections you had to the Chad Daybell story. That group had/has thousands of followers who thought/ think they were following The Spirit by believing his story. Tens of thousands of faith filled people believe the story told in Visions of Glory. It never rang true to me and my lack of belief was offensive to the friend who recommended the book. The Lori/Chad experience has turned me into a skeptic.

If this life is a classroom not a courtroom, why does the Bible mention judgment day and that we will be judged by Christ?
What I get out of it is to not judge yourself and others shouldn’t judge you, instead learn because the only thing you can take with you in life in knowledge/memories. Live life the best you can and then once you get to heaven you will be judged and I’ve listened to several NDE and each one the person says they see those good and bad acts in viewer eyes and the other persons eyes. I like to think that’s the judgement, when you’re seeing the good and the bad.
Also keep in mind that the final judgement doesn’t take place till after the millennium. Love the talk His Grace is sufficient by Brad Wilcox understand we are learning heaven. We are not earning heaven. After the millennium, I believe there will be a judgment once you have been taught by Jesus Christ and your mind and your body are whole then can you really make choices based entirely upon your own choices and your own true desires so the judgment will be more like you knowing and understanding where you want to be.
Only Democracy’s give people choice.

This guys NDE especially about future visions goes against LDS teaching. Not all NDEs come from God. What about discernment?

So maybe some LDS teachings aren’t correct.
