This song causes me to think of loved ones gone . There is one in particular ; Lucero . My youngest stepdaughter was kidnapped , tortured and murdered by the Linea Nueva cartel in El Porvenir , Chihuahua Mexico . 2014. All because someone who was being tortured listed her and 40 other people as having knowledge they wanted . She did not know . They cut the coward once in the side . He gave in and he was freed ; a warning to anyone who didn't bow down . They let a woman go , I don't know why . The rest they murdered . Enough of that . Forgive me if I saddened you .

Had a bad day today as one of brothers passed away. 10:17 am 10/07/2022. Feeling a bit lost, out of place. We both loved the moody blues. This song is giving me a bit of comfort. RIP bro (Roger). 14/3/23 Just adding to this. My father passed away 1 & 1/2 months ago now I’ve been informed that my mother has been given 3 to 6 months to live. Update the doctors where right in this case. Mum passed away 19/5 /23. 3 family members in 10 months. Gee I must have run over a few China-men. I myself have just come out of hospital from having back surgery. I’m lucky to be walking. What a shit yr!!

In one word to describe The Moody Blues is " PURE!" Their music actually allows you to enter any song they do. You become part of the dream they present. I've lived the lyrics and music. No band has ever allowed me to do this.

A sublime and deeply moving example of Justin’s astonishing ability to evoke powerful emotion using succint, poetic lyrics combined with a haunting melody. A friend of mine described his ability as being like, “a spirit singing to me from the other side.” Ray Thomas said of him during an interview, “Justin-he’s a very sensitive guy and, uhm…I love him.”

When my sweetest and older sister Anne passed away in 2005 at the tender age of 56, I sobbed every day for the first month. This beautiful song and Justin Hayward's tender voice gave me great comfort then and does even now. Anne would have been 70 years old this April 10th. I will be 69 in November if I make it that long. I will never be completely happy again until I am again embracing my dear sister. The next voice she shall hear will be the sweet voice of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, saying, "Rise, my daughter."

It's dangerous when you find out
You've been drinking on your own
    The day we meet again
    We will walk in peace
Thru the garden down the road
Where the mist of time is lifting
See it rising in the air
Like the shadow I was chasing
When I looked it wasn't there
    Oh no
But just in case you're wondering
What was really on my mind
It wasn't what you took my love
    It's what you left behind
And just in case you're wondering
Will it really be the same
Will it really be the same
You know we're only living for
    The day me meet again
So hold on - and don't let go
Time heals - you know - I know

When I hear a particular Moody's song, it takes me back to the time when I was listening to it early in my life. All the feelings and emotion I felt then come rushing back and I remember. Those times were often sad and 'Moody'. As time has passed, however, the pain has faded. In fact, those memories have become quite dear to me now. These days, a Moody's song causes me to pause and reminisce. They remind me of the 'Blues' no more. Thank you Moody Blues.

The Moody Blues had countless great songs through their career but this is their crowning achievement. It's just too beautiful to describe. It's in a category with Tom Waits' "Martha," Andrea Bocelli's "It's Time to Say Goodbye," & Timi Yuro's "Interlude." Some music goes into your feet, some into your mind & some into your heart. This one goes into the soul. I can't work when this plays. Even The Beatles' wonderful "Let It Be," & "Long & Winding Road," struggle to be as good as this.

GOODDD..He is 1 BEAUTIFUL & Gifted MAN! He GOODDD. He is 1 BEAUTIFUL & Gifted MAN! Rock & Roll Hall of Fame needs to be run properly, not by a few people who decide who gets nominated & voted in. Look into the process on WIKI-I did last week after a DJ said he too couldn't believe they weren't yet inducted. Folks need to know things need to change. I've got to see him this year. They don't make it close to Maine, USA very often (not enough population to draw them). Thanks Fellows Moodies.

Moved to tears by this one, and not for the first time. Their music is sublime and every time I listen to a song and think "oh yes, this is my favourite" I listen to the next and the next and it becomes impossible to favour one over another. This is a wonderful song and the photos you put together to go with it are so beautiful and so right. Thank you.

I met my future wife Mariola on May 8th, 1980, and fell in love instantly and deep. :-) But during summer 1980 we were in different countries and I was missing Her so much... So when writing letters to Her I quoted this song, declaring how much I long for the day we meet again. This finally happened in August. :-) Quite soon, in Feb 1982 we got married and lived together happily for over 34 years, having children and grandchildren. On July 10, 2016 my beloved Mariola passed away. :-( So now since over 4 years again I am looking forward to the day we meet again - this time in Heaven, in front of the Almighty God, where She is waiting for me. This will be a wonderful day!!! Justin Hayward - thank You for this song!

This Moody Blues song is one of my favorites from them for years now. I lost my dear older mom in death last December, and my older dad died 7 months after mom this last July - I do hope there is a hereafter where I'll meet them again. But even now I feel their presence in my life still, especially when listening to songs like this one. I hope the Moody Blues finally get put in the rock n roll hall of fame this spring of 2018. They deserve it more than anybody at this point in their careers. Great music written - needs to be acknowledged. Cheers and a clink of my glass to the Moodies. Sincerely, Paul Edwards

I don't know if The Moody Blues had intended to write a Christian-themed song here, but, this song definitely speaks of something that The Christ offers us all -- HOPE! As with My Barbra Rose and I, I pray and hope that all of your prayers, dreams and hopes of an eternal reunion with your loved ones comes to fruition. This world is quickly winding down. May The King of Eternity (The Christ) keep you and yours -- always. Keep hope alive and keep looking towards the Eastern sky!

Some kind of kinship to these men , a kinship of sound must be known for us to feel the stories they bring . It's been decades since I first heard them . Amazed and captured was I . I didn't even know what kind of music it was . That didn't matter . All I knew was that is when I awakened to appreciate music . They were my single favorite band for many years . There are now other bands that I enjoy equally , though only a few . Still some of the Moody Blues songs hit me like nothing else can . A few of their songs I don't listen to near as much anymore . Some because they are so often heard . Some because I hear a message that isn't quite how I believe . I know some of you must feel as if that's on the bounds of some sort of blasphemy . I must be honest . Still , I love them all , the newcomers just as much . They care for us as we care for them . Much gratitude for the lives of The Moody Blues .

My words come from On High (from The Creator of all things). His Spirit is all around us; to help us; to comfort us. That is the hope that Jesus The Christ spoke about. The human element will always fail us (through deliberate acts or through human frailty) but Christ never fails us. This song is about hope and light. Along with those who lost their lives in the shootings in Aurora, Colorado, My Barbra Rose awaits me (in Heaven). We will all know true and lasting joy when we meet again in Heaven

In VERY loving memory of My Heavenly-Resplendent Wife, My Eternal Love, My Lady Barbra Rose (in Glory since Nov. 2010). My Forever Baby-Love, Barbra, I wouldn't trade the two short years we had in this life for all the treasure on earth (and God knows it too). Christ meant us to be as one long before the earth turned -- long before the oceans rolled. It was our King, Our Sovereign, Our Savior, Jesus who brought us together. He will bring us together again - and Forever in His Kingdom. On the day we meet again, we will walk hand-in-hand into the Light of a thousand suns -- into Heaven and Christ's embrace. Come back for me very, very soon, My Darling-Love, Barbra. I'll be waiting for you.
