And I can only pray that we will be together again when we are called home! I can only hope and pray, that you are able to finally find some happiness that will hold you over until you are both together again!

+Daisy Train I agree. They write, play, record and tour simply because they love the music and their fans. The Moodies aren't in it for an induction to the Hall of Fame; As they stated once in LA, "We're a working band; we love creating our music, and bringing it to the fans" They don't need the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame; they know who they are.
+Daisy Train Indeed, the Moody Blues have stated clearly in interview(s) that the R&R Hall of Fame is not relevant to them and not their concern, but acknowledged it is important to their American fans. My personal opinion is that the manner in which the R&R Hall of Fame conducts business is like American politics - it is contradictory and reflects the downside of American culture.

Darryl Ruiz oh yes, I do matter, It's unfair , taking into account that minor or insignificant groups are in. Apart from Bowie, Zeppelin and Genesis - Elton John maybe - I don't know no other British singer or group has been inducted. I feel sorry for the Moody Blues as well as for Yes or other prog-rock groups that I like. Americans are funny. But I listened to an interview with Justin Hayward. He was asked how much he regretted not being in the Hall of Fame and he more or less replied that he couldn't care less becausehe's/ they're Europeans and Europeans have a different view from Americans of what good music is about. Kind of : the hall of fame is shit; if your in , it doesn't necessarily means your good.
Right off the top of my head, I can think of The Beatles, Cream, The Who, Traffic, The Dave Clark Five, The Animals, Eric Clapton, Yes, and if The Yardbirds aren't in, they should be !!! I am perplexed that The Moody Blues aren't in already..... just found out they are nominated for the 2018 inductions so go vote at Rock Hall !

Hard to take the R and R Hall of Fame seriously when the Moody Blues are not members. One of the very best bands ever. Quality music unlike a lot of the crap that's out there today.
This song drags you in and rolls from start to finish. I saw them at an outdoor concert in 2009 and it was breathtaking. When this song started, the crowd went crazy.
You and I are in the same boat. I figured out what the song was about when I first heard it. I am just not as harsh. The Moody Blues deserve a place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
samysam hit it right on the head, the kids don't know what good music is. I missed out on the "Moodies" forty years ago and am now trying to catch up . I had no idea they had such great stuff out there, but like I have told others, I wouldn't have appreciated them back them like I do now and I am going to be 82 next month and they make me feel like a kid again. I have a lot of catchi8ng up to do, they make me laugh, cry, just melt away God I love those guys
I am catching up now too. It's a lot to take in. I missed all but a few of their songs, did not purchase a record. Now I want all of the cd's! I listen for hours to get a clue and relieve stress. After you hear a preacher speak, listen to Justin and John every time. Just do it
...and how are you now dearest Irene? Did you catch up? I am certain you experienced more peace and calm and are going deeper into real life than ever before.
Imannachristine Precise grammar is the cornerstone of human communication. Imprecise language creates confusion and breaks down the flow of ideas between people, cultures, and civillizations. Simply changing one word can create an entirely different meaning and even ones completely contrary to the original thought. For instance, two warring countries in negotiations require restraint, nuance, and clear intentions. Without such clarity, miscommunication can lead to human suffering, hatred, war and consequently the end of life on planet Earth. Practice this precision and have it influence others to do the same, lest the planet is consumed and destroyed in nuclear war.
It seemed coincidental that every time that I was drivng up the grade to go to NAU in Flagstaff, Arizona, back in the 80's...EVERY TIME...this song was on the radio at some point in time on that drive. "Won't you take me back to school..." I think that the radio station in Flagstaff overplayed it for the returning students...But what a way to drive up that grade. I loved it then...I love it now. That brings back memories.
Sad to say it's been a few decades since I've heard this. Thank you for posting this, it brings me back to a much happier time in my life. I used to listen to this album constantly. I can't believe I forgot about it.
Many years ago, maybe 1971 or so, I was in the Air Force and in my barracks when some music began to come through the wall. Normally that would cause me to grind my teeth and tell them to turn it down. In this case, it turned out to be the Moodies, and that was my introduction to their incredible music. Over the years I have played some albums so many times that I literally know all the words just from listening. Blue Jays was one of my absolute favorites. Over the years, Justin Hayward has written some absolutely incredible music, and continues to do so. What the world would have missed had he not ever picked up a guitar.
I was 17, in car with my 1st love, windows down, Ann Arbor, nice day, this song was playing, the driver blared this going through a parkway, and there was some kind of great hot air balloon thing going on that day.we held hands. I remember the lyrics so well -how many times will it be this way...He died maybe 12 yrs. ago. I'm in CA, listening to this song. :)
The very first time I heard this song was years ago on my car radio. It came on with no introduction. I knew immediately and without a doubt it was The Moody Blues. The voice, and style are so distinctive to the band. If I were stranded on an Island and had only one band's works to listen to it would be this fine band of men. Rocking with them since 1974. I've been to 4 of their concerts with the last in 2001 at the Paul Masson Winerie. considered by me the best concert I have ever been to..
What incredible diversity rock artists have given us since the 50's. The Moody Blues standing along side Pink Floyd, standing beside Elvis, Johnny Cash & The Beatles, The Four Tops, Aretha & Otis, & then we had Janis, Jimi, Jim Morrison & Jethro Tull. It was a time when everyone who mattered sounded different from all others. Never happen again. Here, The Moody Blues mined progressive music that was simply intense, beautiful and memorable. What an era.
@David Osterberg BEST BAND of the world? HEY!!! HO!!! floyd, Led zep, Rolling stones ...Beatles, the who, The doors... OMG!!! Yes, Great band, great music.. i love them.. but no way they are the best band of the world... Com on!
@@thats_it_folks but what message did you get that differed? I've got to catch up with them too, but am too busy absorbing these guys message to the world
I just lost my mom this past November....She was my best friend.....She loved the Moody Blues,.....this was one of her favorites....Thank you for posting!!
trhis is the result when conservatory trained musicians with a lot of talent come up with timeless music.i have been listening to the moody since shakin all over in 65,and still dont get tired of listening to their music.have seen them live in cincert in different places and is always a fist class show.
love the fact that people are still positively commenting on this song . Hopefully it shows that the younger people of today recognize the talent these boys have. Cant see anyone in the world who is still banging out the live performances like Justin , John Graeme are. Long may it continue
... they are and will always be my favorite musical group... great memories of their concerts... there was always this out of body / mind experience at their concerts...
@phoenixstarchild You and Gail have excellent taste. I was a young 22 year old stud when this came out. It kept me company while driving a Trailways bus.On my days off, I listened to this on WCBS and WKRS FM. Do not cry for her. Rejoice, because she is gone with Jesus and she is not suffering anymore.
@phoenixstarchild I feel your hurt, dear one. My Mom's favorite was "You and Me," and she always wanted it played at her funeral, which we did. Our love for The Moody Blues and their wonderful music was something my Mom and all my siblings shared, and though Mama is no longer with us, the music remembers for us. God bless you. Peace, AHA
Love them. Love Justin’s voice. Their sound is unique. Great talent. Their music is ethereal, sad, beautiful, and uplifting at the same time. Love them second only to Paul McCartney.
If you can hear the words to this song the Voice. It became one of my all-time favorite songs n Justin Hayward did win some kind of a award for this song maybe in Europe.
I bought my first Moody Blues' album (Fly Me High) in 1967, at the age of 20, and I have kept their music close to me for the last 45 years. If there is a musical group that inspires the heart & soul more than M.B. ~ I haven't them they in more than a half century of listening to comtemporary popular music. They are just oh so special...................
Go into a bar and put this song on the jukebox. People will start getting that look on their faces, they haven't heard this song in years but that smile creeps up and they remember days gone past. :)
I've always been a fan of the earlier Moodies. The stuff they did when they re-formed in the 80s, just not the same. Nor SHOULD it be. But I still favored the earlier stuff. l love THIS song, though! Glad to see it hasn't been overlooked, based upon the other comments on this one
The Moody Blues always had wonderful profound lyrics. I listened to them a lot throughout the 80s. Boomers worshiped the Moody Blues.
Hey, there were some of us older gen x's also in that number!! 1965 spoken here, and in concert at the Buffalo Memorial Auditorium is a fond memory😊
And we still do worship them
So does gen x.
Still jamming into the moody blues 1969 2023
Julius, like you, I am also still jamming with the Moody Blues, even at my age (72), in 2024, although having had 6 by-passes, it has made my guitar playing a bit more difficult. But I am still trying to get back to where I was prior to my heart attack!

This song drags you in and rolls from start to finish. I saw them at an outdoor concert in 2009 and it was breathtaking. When this song started, the crowd went crazy.
I'll bet they did! It's one that gives me goosebumps whenever it comes on, regardless of my mood.
I have a lot of catchi8ng up to do, they make me laugh, cry, just melt away God I love those guys
u go girl...
Taste knows no age, nor bounds, Irene. Rock on, girl!
The Moody Blues what a great band and British also.
I've seen them 7 times, Never get tired of this act, with there unique sound
Alizee Defan "their" sound
Vote for the moodiest to get inducted into the the Hall of rock and roll at rock hall.com
Theyre-There now you too. Get it ? Too. Shouldn't j and allen be capitalized ?
Lucky You !
Time to get these guys in the R&R H of F. They're on the ballot this year. Vote as many times as you can.
Justin Haywards voice is as always magnificent
Such a wonderful & beautiful song. Music does not get much better. Also, good vid. Richard
The best band of the world

".......with your arms around the future and your back up against the past......" Yeah, that's my life. God I love the Moody Blues.
I just lost my mom this past November....She was my best friend.....She loved the Moody Blues,.....this was one of her favorites....Thank you for posting!!

haha I just now posted that I do the same thing, except I wrote car instead of truck, time to edit! LOL
trhis is the result when conservatory trained musicians with a lot of talent come up with timeless music.i have been listening to the moody since shakin all over in 65,and still dont get tired of listening to their music.have seen them live in cincert in different places and is always a fist class show.
love the fact that people are still positively commenting on this song . Hopefully it shows that the younger people of today recognize the talent these boys have. Cant see anyone in the world who is still banging out the live performances like Justin , John Graeme are. Long may it continue
LOVE The video going along with the audio...!
... they are and will always be my favorite musical group... great memories of their concerts... there was always this out of body / mind experience at their concerts...
Those experiences are real, without any doubt. I know.
The Moody Blues and ELO! The best bands ever.
This song marks the 20 years my parents have been together. it's so god damn nostalgic!
Takes me right back to my first term at Cambridge.
Lovely video. Thank you.
I love this record . Long Distance Voyager. Love the Moody Blues.
My favourite album ever. The one and only album that I never skip a track on.
Days of Future Passed and In Search of a Lost Chord are my favorites. but Long Distance Voyager was excellent too.
@@btruckno1 All three are classics! Who cares where one ranks them, they're all great.
Peace, AHA
The begining of this song i had it for my wedding for the entrance into the reception hall it was great and a great memory
great choice must have been awesome!
I'd just die to see them just once more. I'm 65 yrs. old and enjoying this music!
One of the many songs on the sound track of my teenage life.
Hard Core Good Music!
So many great musical acts from England, it's mind boggling.
Classic Moody Blues 💙 🇬🇧 💖 🎶🎶 🎵🎶
💙💙💙 💙💙💙 💙💙💙
I always blast this in my truck! and I always get the same reaction...some random dude yelling YEAH!!!!!!!!
Fuck yeah from Australia, mate.
My father try to find this song for many years ago. And he did IT.
One of the few songs that my Mum told me to turn UP.!!!!
They are just oh so special...................
only band i know of who's lyrics are so positive, inspiring, and uplifting
Go into a bar and put this song on the jukebox. People will start getting that look on their faces, they haven't heard this song in years but that smile creeps up and they remember days gone past. :)
my favourite moodies song
Wow....doesn’t even crack my Top 20...
Great group, great song, great video. Thanks...
Not much of a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame without this band. Heard that the Archies are on the next ballot LOL
I've always been a fan of the earlier Moodies. The stuff they did when they re-formed in the 80s, just not the same. Nor SHOULD it be. But I still favored the earlier stuff. l love THIS song, though! Glad to see it hasn't been overlooked, based upon the other comments on this one
Best Band ever!!!! xxx
Love The Moody Blues - the best of the best, for sure.
