Moody Blues - Ride My See-saw
Moody Blues - Ride My See-saw
Moody Blues - Ride My See-saw
    Ride, ride my see-saw,
    Take this place
    On this trip
    Just for me.
    Ride, take a free ride,
    Take my place
    Have my seat
    Its for free.
I worked like a slave for years,
Sweat so hard just to end my fears.
Not to end my life a poor man,
But by now, I know I should have run.
    Run, run my last race,
    Take my place
    Have this number
    Of mine.
    Run, run like a fire,
    Dont you run in
    In the lanes
    Run for time.
Left school with a first class pass,
Started work but as second class.
School taught one and one is two.
But right now, that answer just aint true.
Ah ah ah ah, ah ah ah ah, ah ah ah ah ah
Ah ah ah ah, ah ah ah ah, ah ah ah ah ah
    My world is spinning around,
Everything is lost that I found.
People run, come ride with me,
Lets find another place thats free.
    Ride, ride my see-saw,
    Take this place
    On this trip
    Just for me.
    Ride, take a free ride,
    Take my place
    Have my seat
    Its for free.
    Ride, my see-saw.
    Ride, ride, ride, my see-saw.

The Moody Blues are sheer class act. The songwriting, arrangements, lyrics, and vocals are exceptional! What a band! The members were discreet and private about their lives and activities; not like some bands that let everything about them get published for their fans to read and see.

Even after all these years it's still a great song. I was 14 when this song came out. Today at 65 I still enjoy it. What a lovely group. They didn't take on any tattoos, nose or ear rings. No pins through the ears. No dyed hair or crazy punk hairstyles. Look at the audience. All respectable people, no shouting. Know how to enjoy themselves. Glad I was around and grew up in that time.

Justin's never received the credit he's always deserved for his unique, rockin' and BLISTERING lead guitar licks. He kept them short and obviously he never aspired to be a guitar god, his leads were always in service to the song... but I'll tell ya as someone who saw them live about six times 1969-72... Justin could START FIRES.

Don't let it surprise you ever. These cats knew music and were seasoned players before this band grew together all those years ago. What is now knows as "pros". We are not talking about prophylactics either. Professionals. Their playing a hallmark in rock and they know it. They never had anyone competing with them did they? I have been the musicians union since I was just kid and they were a subject of conversation at all of the meetings. I remember jazz players getting all slack jawed at the playing they saw as a revolution. I pray for Justin to happy with what he did. All of them should have all of their "sins" washed free from their souls. Mike Pinder and his use of synthesizers and mellotron set the standard for all of the putzes who followed. I mean that. Try listening to Emerson,Lake and Palmer. The same sounds that they counted on to message out to many acid heads as possible. God bless them.

The whole idea of the Moody Blues is a little one of kind. Great progressive rock done with top line playing and great sound layering. Imagine having the Royal Symphony backing you up. If nothing else it keeps everybody honest. No mistakes. No errors, all hits and nothing but home runs. I will thank RUclips right till the end for bringing this back to me. I listen to this and I'm 15 again. Dropping acid and being a happy young man with a heart full of love for everything on this planet. I love this live version of Ride My See Saw. It rocks!!! The only thing better than being there would be to be onstage singing with them!!!!

How great is that. These guys may have aged but their sound is still so memorable and brings back so many memories.

My girlfriend brought the best of them on tape with her - it was in the eighties in Hawaii - the golden years with Moody Blues playing as the perfect background

Wowza!! Deepest of respect to Ray Thomas for being there. Twasn't easy for him; nonetheless his smile, (as they say) 'paid the bills'. Right, and to his bandmates as well!😉

What passion, such genius ! The boys have had their life energies on the pulse of the universe for years. I can't describe the emotional pull their music has on my soul. Same now, as in the beginning. Thank you so much, Moody Blues.

It wasn’t until years later that I really appreciated the Moodys. This being because there was soooo much quality music and musicians around during the 70’s. Even some of the bad bands were 100% better than what there is nowadays. The emergence of boy bands really got me. Bands? They couldn’t play air guitar; let alone the real thing and,, sing. The tracks of our years are the bands like the MBlues.

This song more true today than ever. Not dated or old sounding at all. They look great and happy after all these years. Still this song is in my top 5 favorites. MIND EXPANDING MUSIC>
