Zoomed in on the approach PERF page, Green Dot 195 S 177 F 154 and a ref of 133kt Can’t believe it! I’ve always known the Airbus wings are an absolute marvel of lift and engineering-even if this A380 was lighter on weight, a clean speed of less than 200kt for something that size is amazing. Heck, at nominal weights, the A320’s average green dot speed is like 210-220kias

Why did the AP was disengaged too early in this approach? No precision approach available? Or just the copilot wanted to fly and follow LOC and GS by hand? Really...just curious.
Not a pilot, But after the gear was dropped have never seen the switches and knobs set and then reset so many times. Right after the pilot sets one near the center the copilot switches it again. Sorry but looked like a disagreement to me. Is this normal??
@@karimharbit9122 It's a setting of the autobrake. The pilots choose the runway exit and the brake will apply sufficient stopping to decel the plane to a safe taxi speed by the chosen exit
What was that rhythmic bumping just after landing during slowing down? It seemed like road lights in the middle of normal roads but surely there wouldn't be bumps on a runway.
I grew up with a love of flying. I use to have a book with a full cockpit layout for a 737 and would use it to pretend i was flying an actual plane as a child. My dad was a pilot in the airforce and for a major airline. AND yet, I see the cockpit of this plane and I cant believe the tech inside. There is no analog, only digital and digital backups. THEY have HUDS in a civilian aircraft (which they should have for a long time). also Im only 30.
I can't help but feel bad for the A380 pilots having their favourite aircraft retired on such short notice, they clearly love flying the A380 and hopefully they find another aircraft to fall in love with.

it switched OFF by itself so they need to re-arm the BTV manually

Gaps between each block of concrete in the runway. The same thing as when you ride a bicycle on the sidewalk, only way larger in scale.
I would've guessed this sound is the nose wheel rolling over the runway centerline lights

When the wheel rolls over the runway centerline lights, it will make that bump sound. They're not flat lights, they're kinda grooves.
