  • BrianWoodTraining.com--In this video tip I’ll show you how to use the Recolor Artwork dialog box to easily and quickly recolor artwork. If you have a logo, for instance, and want to map all of the colors to one Pantone with different tints, or you have artwork with a bunch of colors and you want to make it lighter or darker overall, for instance, this will be a great time saver!

This is awesome. This will save a ton of time, especially when using templates from adobe stock that I want to use but do not match my brand colors. Now I will be able to easily adjust these colors for my brand. Excellent tutorial

Is there some way to quickly pick colours from the canvas to remap to?

This may be an obvious question, but this will only work if you designed the document in illustrator or another adobe software, right? Not if you scan an image into the software using a document scanner?

Honestly, that's a really good question. This method will work as long as the content you create either in Illustrator or elsewhere is vector (paths and shapes). You can scan using a document scanner, but you will need to "trace" the artwork to convert to vector shapes.
