Its Weird now watching Mikey swear and making adult jokes in the first Pokemon talk episode when he is so family friendly now
he stopped making adult jokes or swearing because, he got more popular among kids. And to retain his children audience (which is probably the majority) he had to stop sadly.

I watched these videos when they came out and it's funny how in my memory, they were really well produced and good videos and now it feels like the editing and quality could have been better but in my mind they were really well put together videos at the time. I think when we watch a video or play a game we enjoy those things a lot at the time but when we go back to them after several years, they feel lower quality. The bar is raising everyday for content on the internet and this was kinda inspiring 😄.
I have been watching you since 2017. It’s really been a long journey. I have absolutely loved every single video you have made. I adored ur Pokémon Talk. Thanks for the multiple memories Mikey!!

I found you in middle school and now I’m 19 and in the military. You’re channel actually helped spark my love for Pokémon after I fell out of it after playing black
99% sure that the only reason Grunty boi would go to a wedding would be to steal the rings.
Pokémon Talk should be required viewing for newcomers to the channel. Just, just, set aside a couple of hours, find the playlist, and binge-watch the whole deal. You will laugh. You will understand the references that get made in these parts. And you will wonder what the f*** happened to the floor!

I totally agree. Pokémon Talk is my favorite youtube series. Whenever I'm sad, I watch Yveltal, Mienfoo, Zubatman or other episodes that will always have a place in my life. It's brilliant and super funny.

It’s crazy how when I got into Michaels content I was 7 and I’m turning 17 this year. I legitimately almost cried rewatching the genwunners episode because that was my favorite video as a child and I wouldn’t stop quoting the episode to my mom LOL
Edit: I remember I had a friend over at my house playing smash bros brawl and I called him a “pedophilic clown” because of the episode and my mom was LIVID

Holy nostalgia. I can't believe the ride has been 10+ years man.
I had some thoughts with the pokeball theories. I feel like the ideal environment theory has more merit to specifically luxury balls (maybe also friend balls)--the concept that they are so comfortable it raises the Pokémon's happiness and is even called the luxury ball. Also since Pokemon are able to generally hear the trainer and escape as they wish to I doubt it's inhumane (unless it's a master ball perhaps). It's like how some animals like to go in their crates to sleep or relax because it's like a comfortable den to them, while others, like Pikachu, do not.
It's crazy to think this was that long ago. I started watching you in late 2013 and seeing some of these old videos really took me down memory lane. I'm so proud of you. You've come so far!
I found you just as you were about to leave for College, so...pretty much when you started doing Pokémon content more. I'm currently a 36 year old woman as of this post who's watched you grow into your success. Excellent work as always, Michael! Keep being the best that no one ever was! X3

Honestly, the reactions to ORAS were incredibly wholesome. The pure joy. I can't even remember my own, but I remember I was still in high school at the time and I wouldn't stop talking about it and gushing how Sapphire was my first Pokemon game ever-

i remember watching all of these videos when they came out and i was just as excited as you were for the oras announcements. i have been a pokemon fan for almost my entire life, and this channel was the first one i subscribed to, i dont remember exactly when, but i know for at least 7 years.
This time analysis for episodes helped me out so much for stories I am writing. I thank you very much

What a nostalgia trip. I found this channel when I was 9 or 10, and I’ll be graduating high school soon. This is the only channel out of the 60 or 70 I’ve subscribed to over the years that’s held my interest enough for me to remain subscribed. Those old videos fill me with so much pure joy because I remember back in fourth and fifth grade when I’d come home from school and do nothing but binge Pokemon content on RUclips. Thanks, Michael.

I did not realize how long I've been watching you for. Since the first few episodes of Pokemon Talk. Returned to the channel only recently and it's awesome to see you're doing well!
I discovered Pokémon talk Episode 1 as the first video from his channel back in 2014 and still remember how he used to have the Spateport City Remix slowly begin to creep up and then blast out at full volume after he said Gotta catch them aaaaalllll. And this channel will always be that extremely load and happy chorus of bells and Synthesizer for me that chases the clouds away. Ironic yet fitting given Michael's love for Castform and my sheer disdain for it. Simply put, Castform was the Shiny Kabuto for me. Yeah, that's how frustrating it was trying to complete my Pokedex in Sin and Ultra Sun.

I remember watching “How old is Ash Ketchum” back in Elementary School when it first came out, and now I’m 18 and graduating. It’s been a fun ride with you Mikey, and I hope I still have time to watch your videos whilst I go to school to become a Journeyman’s electrician!!

I've only been watching you since 2020, Mikey, but even still, I consider myself a proud part of your community (and also TEAM SKY!!!) I'll be honest, 2019 to 2022 have been so far the worst years of my life, so I've needed to distract myself a lot, and your videos have helped me not only do that, but you've given me the ability to laugh even when I don't feel like it. You're one of the funniest and most passionate people I know (as a fellow Pokemon fan, that's a must to say) that I've ever seen on RUclips, and the community you've managed to build is amazing. As someone whose first video was the Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire announcement trailer, its been so wonderful to grow up alongside your content.
I never paid attention to the channel names, so I never realized that it was your vids that kept getting recommended to me. The "how old is Ash" one and the "What happens inside a pokeball" were constantly in my recommended when they were new and I just never watched them lol

It's actually really funny that at 26:04 when Mikey is at the point of the ash's age video where he posts the call of duty/pokemon meme, his box is in the place of the actual pokemon audience and it's so appropriate
my favorite thing about that video is the thumbnal, mainly cause i know exactly which photo he used since i also used that for my phone's wallpaper

17:04 Look at Vaporeon. Or even Orcane from Rivals of Aether, both of who’s base designs resembles real-life aquatic animals, but who’s DNAs bear strong similarity to water itself. The latter was literally inspired by the other, and BOTH can sorta shapeshift in a similar way to the Glushalsh line.
